Pretty clear it was an accident based on the footage. Nobody is doing that on purpose. So sad for the family the grief plus the burden of the narrative this has caused. Thanks for the update RIP

If one is purposely going to drive their car as fast as they can into a border station to cause damage to themselves/others/the station/the bridge, would they: A: Drive down the open road, admittedly while swerving between a few cars, directly into the station or B: Drive directly into a tiny "ramp" that hopefully propels you over a fence to hopefully hit your target, the border station I'd guess A, but you never know.

Based on reports so far, I think some moron was driving recklessly through the falls down Main (which happens quite often), swerved around a car at around 100 MPH, lost control, and went over/through the fence into the checkpoint area where it crashed and thus exploded.

Also am in the area and have heard similar reports. The logic of this being a suicide bomber doesn't make much sense as they detonated at the border with few targets nearby when multiple other soft targets exist within the vicinity of the border and WNY in general. I am taking a lot of these initial reports with a grain of salt until there is more straightforward reporting.
