A couple of thoughts on this ridiculous ban: You know new gas heating and appliance sales are going to be banned next year. How will NY handle that? Subsidize electric heater, stoves, pool heaters, and re-wiring. Yep. More taxes. More people leaving. Send the money to Pennsylvania when you need to buy an appliance. It doesn't stop there. What about all the gas industry workers losing their jobs? Utility workers, excavators, pipe manufacturers, pipe fitters, propane suppliers. More people leaving. Nice. How will the electric infrastructure be upgraded? NY needs to upgrade the electric system to replace a perfectly good gas delivery system to meet the demand. Who the ***** is going to pay for that? Yes - you are. More people leaving. In the end, this probably will have no impact. Demented Biden and Horseface Hochul's inflation increasing fiscal policies have pushed interest rates so high, nobody can afford a new build of a home or apartment building. And, they can't pay the taxes after it's built. Finally, what the ***** does banning gas have anything to do with a budget? More of the demented experiments by out-of-touch Democrats trying to control everything in your life. What's the next target? Firewood? What a mess.
