    Everyone is saying it was "weird", seem like there might be some friction between the team and player? Anything like that? I didn't see the interview and haven't followed it since the original announcement.

    I don't know what they will do but I'm curious to see. So much was made about TT and his injury guarantee at the end of last season and possible taking the payout for the hip. Now Wood is in the same situation but he looks to actually be getting paid for the neck. Tough line of work either way so I have a hard time finding fault with anyone collecting that NFL money.

    I think McD was in charge over a sunken Whaley but from how I understand it Beane is now the guy in charge of handling the personnel.

    Being critical of him for trading down with the Chiefs and not the Texans on the draft day trade when he was still working for the Panthers. Yikes.

    He wouldn't be able to keep competitive by regularly outbidding the NFL. He could make some noise by throwing money at 5 star recruits but the colleges will probably match their offers.

    Guice!!! Exactly right Yolo. They could pull a trade to the middle of the first round and still get the better back. If I'm them I'm taking a QB but if they stay put and take Barkley shame on them.

    That kids stock is going to explode. Only 7k follows on twitter, I bet that's over 25 by end of next season. Dawkins sure seems like a "mature beyond his years" type of guy.

    Well he would be the first QB forced into retirement from a head injury, maybe not all time but definitely since the spot light has been pointed at CTE. It would not only be the end of a young man's career but it would be another reason for more outcry against the sport itself. So if it is TT this could be very bad.

    I agree with JW. Report it when you can release the name, this is worse than not knowing. It's going to be harder on the player and his teammates who will be chasing off reporters and trying to do what they were asked.

    Keeping this going for an entire weekend would be quite dramatic. I'm confident whoever it is, their mom knew before some fantasy draft site did.

    I'd be more worried about what caused a healthy Wood to be forced into retirement than I would be with his replacement. We will have plenty of time to debate the future of the position.

    The team should release a statement soon, they may have wanted to wait until Monday but too much information out there and they should get infront of it. I think they will.

    Makes me think something horrific happened to someone and that in itself would ruin the offseason for many fans/players. Hope I'm wrong but this situation seems off.

    Really John? A rich entiltled prick gets physical with some guy diving him around for peanuts and you think it's okay? He "borrowed" the charger then played tough guy and kept it. Drunk and disorderly, yah get what's coming. Put on the big boy shoes and pay good money to one of your buddies to treat like a slap stick instead of some poor Uber driver.
