The problem isn't firing the coach every 3 years, it's constantly hiring the wrong coaches.
McDermott has proven to be completely incompetent as a head coach on the offensive side of the ball.
That's not going to miraculously change next year...
It may if we shore up the offensive line. Get better receivers and drop Peterman. Keep in mind that this management team had severe financial restrictions placed on them, so they were limited on who they could sign.

This team is bad , and shouldnone should be let go for this , basically not scoring a touchdown in 3 games is somthing that needs to be fixed ASAP
How do you get a playoff team to this .. very sad very typical of this front office
change before you start to lose support
You can't keep changing the head coach or gm every two or three years. Every week we have this over reaction. This year will be hard to deal with, but hopefully it will pay dividends in the years to come.
Keep in mind a handful of geniuses on this board called for the head of Tyrod because he wasn't winning games the "right way" by not throwing for 300 yards. If we had his skill set of mobility and ball protection this year, we may have 5 wins.

A hard earned TD. By Nate. Hopefully he is cut tomorrow keep the ball kid.
Peterman will be with the Bills all season. I can't see McDermott cutting Peterman during the season. I would like to see it, but I don't think it will happen until seasons end.

Lol.

I would sign Bradford just for insurance. He would not last long as a starter with the beating he would get playing behind or O line.

They had a game Monday. Both Anderson and Edmunds will be cleared tomorrow, and both will start at their perspective positions Sunday.
I hope you are correct.

This would be the best scenario. Anderson would have more time to learn the play book and get his timing down with the receivers. Allen will hopefully be ready to go .
I am in in that.

Sorry. I disagree. They are in two different situations. Which coach took their team to the playoffs?
I am still optimistic about McDermott future.

Is this Gamesmanship or is McDermott genuinely holding out hope that he plays?

I am really surprised with the results of this poll. I appreciate the incredible locality of Bills fans.
Go Bills!

No, it just was a question to Beane as to whether it was a possibility. He didn’t rule it out because he can’t rule it out. Then of course it becomes “he didn’t deny this thing could happen that is technically possible yet not probable, so it’s obviously probably happening!”
That sounds about right.

Why would Cleveland and then the Jets let this guy go?
We are smarter than they are? No... that can't be it.

Thought I read something about possibly not playing this year? That would be horrendous.
I saw that as well. I believe it was just speculation.

You gotta choose one, or name one I forgot about. Take yourself back to when they pulled the plug on Peterman in Game 1 and consider any unsigned QB out there at the time (or who became available later, like Tom Savage). No saying Kaepernick or Tebow; we've been there, done that too many times already.
I thought Matt Moore or Mark Sanchez.
Yes, they are not great, but are they an upgrade from what we have now. I believe so. -

Again, he didn't play against the Colts. Are you talking about the Texans where he threw a TD and 2 picks after he came in and played behind a line that got Allen knocked out after he threw zero touchdowns?
And I am not angry, I just am annoyed Bill's fans listen to these idiot national reporters that act like the Bill's line and receivers are not an issue and it is all Peterman. They lost the last two games and our QB turned the ball over SIX times with a pick 6 and had no touchdowns. His name wasn't Peterman.
Peterman has earned his reputation. Most if not all of his picks we throwing errors, not balls going off the receivers hands. We have seen bad quarterback play this year. Nate leads the pack in that category.

First, he didn't play against the Colts. It was Derek Anderson who had 4 turnovers and no touchdowns in a 37-5 loss.
Second, when Peterman did start against the Colts in 2017, the Bills won and he was 5 of 10 for 57 yards with a TD and no interceptions. Yes, the Bills have won when Peterman started. In fact they are 1-0 at home when he starts.
You are right. It is the Nate Peterman era. He will lead us to where we want to go.
I didn't say he started against the Colts, but he finished the game in more ways than one.
If you are a Peterman. Great. But why are you so angry?

They did wear multiple colors over the years. My brother and I loved those teams when we were kids. We'd huddle around the radio and listen to Van Miller call the games..."That's two...for McAdoo!!" Buff State's own Randy Smith was my favorite player and he owned the NBA's 'Ironman' streak for quite some time. My brother and I were crushed when they left Buffalo and I still don't care about the NBA to this day. Love college ball but the NBA is a lousy product, IMO. I remember being ecstatic when the Braves acquired Moses Malone and then pissed when they traded him to the Rockets. I think he was with Buffalo for all of about two weeks and played in maybe one pre-season game is all. They had the potential for some great teams and had some very exciting players including Bob McAdoo and Adrian Dantley.
A few random tidbits: 1) My dad took my brother, sister , & me to a Braves game at 'The Aud' on a snowy, winter night in the '70s. There was hardly anybody there and the ushers let us move down from the nosebleeds into the golds. They were playing the Seattle Supersonics and I remember the bald-headed Slick Watts of the Sonics for the green headband he wore. I can still see it like it was yesterday. I still have the NBA 'Hoops' magazine from that game. The cover had Robert Parrish who at that time was still with Golden State. 2) A friend I went to high school with here in Virginia is cousins with Ernie DiGregorio. He looks just like Ernie D in Ernie's playing days except that my friend has a mustache. The resemblance is uncanny. 3) When Floyd Smith was HC of the Sabres in the mid '70s, I was friends with his son. We went to school together in Grand Island. Ah, youth. Good times and good memories of those teams and those days.
Sports in our you was magical. Those were good times.

Yep. his future is on the line Sunday. If he sucks again, it should be all over for him
It should have been over after two weeks ago when he gave up the game to the Colts.
All we can do is be huge Peterman fans on Sunday, then hold the door after the game and wish nate all the best in his new business career selling Amway. Once all our qb 's are back, there is no reason to keep Nate Pick 6, Peterman.

I guess they had two color schemes. Black and orange and Columbia blue and orange. (Just googled it.) Totally agree about the roster. Jack Ramsey was always articulate and erudite and wore incredibly loud pants. Those were indeed fun times.
YES. I forgot about the wild pants. It was the 70's though.

Typing this takes longer than answering two yes or no questions. Did you expect them to be THIS bad? Especially on offense? Yes or no?
Seriously, with the ask up qb mess, a questionable offensive line, and weak receiving corp, it was obvious that we would struggle to score points. Having Allen go down with an injury for an extended period of time made it worse. At least with Allen playing, we were accomplishing something.
Did I expect them to be historically bad? I never thought about that.

Nothing cooler than powder blue and orange uniforms.
I Remember them as black and orange. I could be wrong. They had a really fun roster, Gar Heard, Jack Marin ( the mad bomber (before the 3 point shot), Randy Smith, Bob McaDoo, Jim McMillan, Ernie DeGregorio ( Ernie no D), and even Bobby Weiser from the Chicago Bulls.
This Brings back memories. At one time Buffalo had Chuck Knox (Bills), Jack Ramsey (Braves), and and Scotty Bowman as head coaches at the same time.

Yes it was. It was needed to open up opportunities to obtain better players next year. The Bills will have one of the best financial situations going into the off season. This depressing season is one we just have work through. It is hard to fairly evaluate coaching performances on the offensive side of the ball with such a lack of talent.
