  1. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, I try to be respectful so forgive me if I seem to be stepping on yours. relax man, I know this wave of refugees has kind of had a shock feel to it with all the new faces coming on board. but as you may find out, a good majority are good people who can add and share their perspectives/views/opinions to the discussion that have the same passion as those here for the buffalo bills. this is your home and we would like to thank you for having us and it should be clear, very clear to all those who have made there way here to be respectful and abide by the format that has made this a great home for you and your fellow members. change can be good, in time. I can only imagine how it has made some feel here but rest assure I don't believe it will be as bad as you may foresee it once the dust settles. I'm sure those who don't take the advice from the long standing members will be shown the door. even without the recent rush you likely still would have a straggler now and then to deal with, hopefully the number will be low of said stragglers. I apologize in advance if I stepped out of line with this post and hope those who have come recently can and will hold the same respect I do, which I'm sure many will. I am 100% in support of learning to use the search feature to avoid duplicating and cluttering the board with the same topic.
  2. prolonging it just leads to more speculation. personally, I can buy the fact that McD needed to have as much time as he could knowing the risks of letting him go vs the risks of keeping him. I don't think it's as much a contract deal as it is whether he/they feel they can find a better option through the draft/fa? most feel they can't, some believe they can, myself, I just want the right decision and can only hope it's the right one? I don't really like the idea of a rookie, only a couple of the QBs in this draft seem to have some upside but none seem to have that "it factor" when transitioning to the next level. as for the fa's, nothing there of any real significant level of improvement other than the veteran who has all the experience to get the job done, but can he make it through 16 games? I can respect McD taking his time about it, after all this is his first year and it could set the tone going forward in his career. we could know something as soon as weds but it looks more likely they will keep everyone guessing right up to the 3-11 deadline...?
  3. condolences to you and your family, sorry for your loss...
  4. who ever does shy away from him, will lose out. he is nfl ready and comes from a program that was the best defense in the country. personally, I believe it will be a non issue? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg4Faukmn1o
  5. good to see you here man. always did dig your posts, look forward to more...
  6. thanks man. I think you might be on to something with the thought of two years, seems very reasonable especially given the bountiful circumstances facing them this off season. I do however feel that if they were to just flat out look bad and end up under 6-10 things could still get ugly for whaley. I also agree with you that McD's tenure could surpass whaley and a replacement could be here in 2018 if 2017 is not inspiring? McD, in my opinion, seems pretty solid and may just run with this opportunity which in the end will be very good for bills fans? a lot yet still to happen before the roster is set and opening day gets here and when hearing how methodical (a very good asset I may add) McD is, we could be in for a surprise?
  7. no worries man and thanks. I try to be as open minded on the topic(s) as I can and try to see any and all perspectives which I then can base my opinion on it.
  8. just an observation of your post and had to add my two cents, which may not add up to too much. I am not a pro whaley man nor am I full blown anti whaley, kind of on the fence. problem is, I have been sitting on this fence for a while now and still no contender or post season. we're going in to his fourth regime where if I'm not mistaken he was named GM at the tail end of the gailey era and then obviously there was marrone and the ryan fiasco and now McD. I think it's a do or die time for him and that wont be any easy feat. brutal schedule, rookie HC and new staff, no established QB, only an off season to learn and master the new schemes and a defense that basically has to start from scratch again after the ryan boys destroyed it. if they don't make it to the post season in 2017 you're inching closer to the reality that it could become a 20 year drought? if things don't turn around with a quickness regardless of how you or those that don't seem to have any real problem with him as GM may see him gone sooner than later. also imo, I believe pegula went about it all wrong. he should of wiped the slate completely clean and went full blown rebuild from the top down. all just my opinion
  9. it's really a whole different environment here. most all I have seen so far were well established members with a great passion for their bills. I'm sure one or two will slip over the edge and go back to there old ways but I have a feeling that would be nipped in the bud pretty quickly here. new environment and chance to blend in from what I can see is a really good group of knowledgeable bills fans who hold a great deal of respect for what they call home...GO BILLS!!
  10. good to see you as well old friend and a lot of familiar folks from the incinerated bbmb community...
  11. I think this is one of the best rules here. it was a serious issue at the old site. great to see it wont be tolerated here.
  12. I think a lot of that isn't so much a grammar issue as it's a hand held device issue most are using now here in the 21st century...?
  13. that would nearly complete the list, more for sure but the regulars like them and shaw66, who I hope makes it as well. always did dig his posts/weekly game day reviews...
  14. even though the source is nothing more than speculation, you have to really expect him to be gone. sure, McD can come out and say we're exploring all our options before making any decisions but if they really wanted him, he would/will be under center in 2017? just hope they have a equal or better option come the season opener...?
  15. Very cool history here OP read and understood, put together very well. I have a real sense of respect for this site and hope that the migration of former bbmb members will be a nice smooth transition and we as bills fans can continue to express our views/opinions of the team/organisation going forward. thank you Scott and GO BILLS!!
  16. the oldest year/date I saw of a few members was 2000, so it was at least 17 years?
  17. I'm sure they will hear from many. not that it will bring the board back but it would be nice to know that the fans/members were able to express their feelings of them just slamming the door in their faces...pretty classless move imo but frankly, although a longtime member there I turned my membership in about a month ago after enough of the garbage posts/threads and arrogance of some there. not to say this place or any is free of arrogance, hell, I can even be arrogant at times when pushed but that place was getting outright ridiculous... oh, and teef, yeah I can dig me some cake. especially while walking...#cakewalk
  18. wasn't that many was there, especially the last few years. those few respected posters still left there kept a slight manner of respect going but for the most part, it was a hell hole full of arrogance.
  19. actually I had no real problems with any of them. any infractions I received were warranted.
  20. been a member here since 11/2015 so not really displaced but had standingbuffalo close my account there last month. just got sick of the repetition of threads, mainly QB threads and the arrogance that went along with them. joined there 8/2009 and had 15,100 posts and went by the same username as I have here. I am a western new york native and moved south 31 years ago and presently live in northwest florida. I am 55 years old and been a die hard bills fan since the age of 12 and have seen the good, bad and the ugly. mostly ugly but hoping maybe this regime can turn it around?
