  1. IF he stays healthy. Schematically Hogan is a good fit? But at 6'1 he is going to take more abuse than the 5'10 Amendola. Not to mention he is not as quick and had a tendency to short arm receptions. I see Hogan being a guy who has a few big games but falls out of favor by the end of the season.
  2. We all know the 10 year business plan of the NFL - globalization. 30-2 was the vote approving St Louis to LA. And Pegula wasn't one of the dissenters
  3. Bill from NYC. I've been on TBD for a decade. It will be hard finding someone who can do your SEQB "Sunday Evening Quarterback" analysis. I nominate NoSaint, Promo, or CBiscuit.
  4. Terry Pegula should work on a retrofit of the existing stadium. There is so much more that could be done, that wouldn't involve spending beyond 250 to 400 million. A new downtown stadium and you're looking at nearly double or triple that figure. We need to be pragmatic in our approach. Would a joint stadium with UB work? Would a 1/2 taypayer, 1/2 Pegula funded stadium work? It's all possible. Needless to say we will know more in the next 3 years.
  5. Rex will be fired soon. Will he even make it thru the season? Harder schedule, less talent. If he survives Whaley must crush the draft and find 4 solid contributors.
  6. Solution - trade him. If he's worth what his agent thinks he's worth than a team like Denver, Cleveland, should be willing to give up picks and other players for him. If they won't then I'd say make him earn that extension in 2016. If he plays well to warrant a new contract then franchise tag him and work out a long term deal. Lots of players play well below the true value. Russell Wilson certainly was grossly underpaid for 3 seasons. Tyrod must prove his worth staying healthy and improving areas in his game that were deficient as Whaley said.
  7. Thurman is wrong. You don't learn a lesson until you correct the problem. Get in the playoffs and it's a lesson learned.
  8. Not strange. The facts are the DA is not convinced there is enough evidence to convict anyone let alone McCoy singularly.
  9. We need to keep Glenn if he walks it's Peters 2.0. As for Mario I don't see him staying.
  10. Manning still would get a shot. In analyzing the current landscape he has two options, go to a team that wants him, or wait for an injury (Tony Romo). Manning is such a preparer I doubt he would choose the later. Assuming Manning comes back he really has 2 good options and they were the teams that had the biggest QB issues last year: Cleveland & Houston. If Manning objectively looks at both, there's no way in hell he doesn't choose Houston if given the option. Houston has the potential to have a dominant defense, in addition Houston has an indoor stadium.
  11. Elway wouldn't have soured on Manning if he still had velocity on his passes. Think of Manning as a pitcher who can't throw his fastball anymore. He mainly wins with his head & gets people to ground out. Manning has a chance to play elsewhere the question is will he want to? For starters if I were him I'd want to play a few more seasons especially in Denver with that defense. Can Manning somehow find a way to get his arm back? That's a good question, the problem as I see it is usually a QB loses other elements of his game. Look at Brett Favre, once he lost his legs he was toast. Favre could probably still out throw 1/2 of the starters in the NFL. Amazingly Manning who has no sense of touch in his right hand since his spinal fusion came back and went to 2 Super Bowls in 4 seasons. Manning was told someday he may wake up and have the sense of feeling in his right fingers but to this day he does not. That's the amazing thing, the guy is playing with no sense of touch, it's amazing he has been able to break records sense coming back. As for the HGH who cares? Modern science should be able to help athletes extend their career if they chose. If it was proven HGH could prevent CTE would the NFL permit it's use? That's what I'm saying Manning was dealt a bad hand in terms of health since the age of 34 and has somehow managed to break nearly every NFL passing record. So if Manning comes back would anyone be surprised?
  12. If you can read this slogan you haven't waited long enough.
  13. 96 career sacks so far. If Mario goes to New England I believe he'll have a few Randy Moss-like seasons where he gets 10 plus sacks and then he'll be shipped out of town where he'll play his final few seasons for a pretender like Atlanta or Dallas. Mario has been solid in Buffalo outside of '15 and you have to wonder if that has more to do with Rex than anything.
  14. Wow 99% unanimous on TBD, hell has officially frozen over. The curse has been lifted.
  15. EJ falls short in many areas including ability to read a defense, and ability to anticipate where to throw open a receiver. He has made strides primarily in stepping into his throws but he seems to be the type of QB who is a life long number 2. That's not a bad job, if he can step in compete & win some games he will have a nice long career.
  16. If continuity where a proverbial sheet of ice, Whaley & Rex would be wearing life jackets.
  17. As you predicted Von Miller brought a can of whoop ass.
