  1. Bills fans forget that the Jets had the #4 overall defense last season and their best part was pass defense. Buffalo was #2 in points allowed, and #6 in yards allowed.
  2. Hackett calling the plays...let me think, run up the middle
  3. This game will probably come down to 3 points... so that FG could be the difference.
  4. false start... Cart for Rodgers...yikes!
  5. Nathaniel Hackett was hired this offseason to be the Jets’ offensive playcaller, but he says Aaron Rodgers will be calling plenty of plays at the line of scrimmage, and the Jets will benefit from that. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nathaniel-hackett-says-jets-will-benefit-from-aaron-rodgers-making-calls-at-the-line#:~:text=Nathaniel Hackett was hired this,Jets will benefit from that.
  6. Alright, what do we know about the current Jets? They had the #4 overall defense last season and that was due to a stellar defensive secondary, #3 in yards allowed, and #1 in TDs allowed. Their run defense was not so great, as in the middle of the road, 16th in yards allowed, and 14th in rushing TDs. They have Q Williams who had 11 sacks this preseason. What we also know is that Nathanial Hackett is the Jet's new OC and he was at one time the Buffalo Bills OC under St. Doug. Mallone eventually fired him and he was the Packer's OC for a few years until becoming the HC of the Broncos. He never called the plays in Green Bay as HC Matt LaFleur called them. Hackett's stint as HC of Denver was a complete disaster as he called the offensive plays for part of the year until he handed them over to the OC. (I do think the only reason Denver hired him was to lure QB Aaron Rodgers to Denver. That seemed to work for the Jets.) What Hackett did best as the Bills OC was call run plays up the middle to the tune of 80% or so of the run plays. The 2013 Buffalo Bills did have the #1 offense in rushing attempts, #2 in rushing yards, and #10 in rushing TDs. Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller were the RBs, and EJ was the QB. 6-10 was their record. Anyway, Hackett stated that Aaron Rodgers will call his own offensive plays. I have a feeling that the Jets will try and run the ball down Bill's throats knowing that Buffalo has an undersized 2nd-year ILB that didn't play this pre-season. Buffalo had better be able to stop the run or Dalvin Cook and Breece Hall will make this a long evening for Bills fans. With McD, It might be smart to put an extra DT/DE at LBer to stop the run and force Rodgers to throw, just a thought. On offense, Buffalo faces a top defensive secondary that could present a ton of problems with the Bills passing offense. It just might be time for Allen to become captain check-down this game with the short passes to the TEs and Cook. That new two-TE Buffalo offensive scheme might just throw a wrench into the Jet's defensive game plan. Buffalo was last in the NFL in 2022 to run a two-tight-end offense in 2022. Buffalo should win this game.
  7. My take is the NY Jests signed Dalvin Cook for what he did last year to Buffalo with that 62-yard TD run. They gotta be planning to run the ball a whole lot to keep the heat off of Rodgers. How good is that Buffalo run defense with their new LBer who is more of a coverage LBer? If he has to face pulling guards... OTOH, I can only hope Buffalo has been working on quick-strike packages to keep the heat off of Allen. Didn't Williams have like 11 sacks in preseason? Perhaps Buffalo needs to get their Cook working in the ground game. Either way, I want the Bills to end this NY Jets playoff talk.
  8. While I agree with that first comment. There has been so much negativity from certain fans recently and I can't help but feel that these aren't really Bills fans rather than other team fans attempting to stir the pot. Look at this man. 10 pages of nonsense about what? One of, if not the very best QB this franchise has ever had! It's completely baloney, the kid is super smart and has the best work ethic of any QB I've ever seen. Josh Allen works with Jordan Palmer every offseason to improve his game. Brady, like Mahomes, is a different story. Brady had a future HoF HC in BB who built a strong team with a stout run game and defense to enable Brady's growth. Mahones sat for a season and learned under both Andy Reid and QB Alex Smith. Let's face it, I doubt Mahomes would be as good under any other head coach...who is looking like a HoFer himself. Nothing wrong with a team that just went 13-3 and is looking to finally reach that SB. Other teams fans simply can't stand the success.
  9. Good lord, will this negative crap ever stop? Go post on the board of the team you really root for and leave this one alone.
  10. This forum isn't just for Buffalo Bills fans as we see so many posters from other teams posting here...and so many that we really don't know where their loyalties really lay. People love to stir the pot and get fans going on one thing or another while mostly jealous of the Buffalo QB, their GM, their HC, and their winning the division for a few years now. Taking the glory from Patriots fans and that has got to have those Bean town peeps beating like stuck sheep. Meanwhile, the Jets sit in the basement missing their drafting of QBs in the draft needed to sign Aaron Rodgers as It looks like he is at the end of his career. When you start thinking of retirement...you are already gone. Miami, with its meddlesome owner, wanted Tua over Justin Herbert and got his wish. Can you imagine Herbert on the Dolphins?
  11. Just stop with this draft pick stuff...Some Bills fans still can't get over the Donte Whitner pick... Let...it... go... as this team was just 13-3! The Buffalo Bills have one of the very best, if not the best darn QB in the NFL, and some can't stop talking about a missed draft pick in some round. EVERY TEAM MISSES SOMETIMES! Guess who moved up in the 2018 draft to select the ONE QB worth anything, Yea, that's right, Brandon Beane. Now, if he has selected Backer Mayfield #1 overall, then complain. If he has selected Sam Darnold #3 overall, then complain. Now, imagine being a NY Jets fan when the team could have drafted Allen, and instead drafted Darnold...then went on to miss on Zach Wilson with the #2 overall in 2021. IF Beane HAD DRAFTED THE GUY SO MANY BILLS FANS WERE CLAMORING FOR IN JOSH ROSEN. Some don't wanna recall that they wanted Beane to give up the farm to trade up to the #2 spot with the NY Giants to get Rosen. Where is Rosen now? I'll bet that every team in the NFL that drafted before the #7 pick wishes they had drafted Josh Allen. Anyway, who shives a git about trading away a guy they were gonna outright cut if they couldn't find a trade partner? Just be happy that this team didn't give up 3 #1 picks to trade up to draft Trey Lance! Only to give him away for a 4th.
  12. Let's all face it...that Bengals game and recently that Steelers game let us Bills fans wondering what is going on? First off, the window won't close until Josh Allen retires as he is the heart and soul of the team. So many are making conjectures about why the Bills are not the talk of this offseason. (Which in my opinion is a good thing as the Bills do better as underdogs.) There are reasons for both those games and my take is the players were mentally spent with Hamlin almost dying on the field right in front of them. With the Steelers, Buffalo Beat them 38-3 last season in Buffalo... which was an embarrassment and I'd say they game-planned a bit for revenge. Anyway, the Buffalo offense was as good as, if not better than when Daboll was calling plays and KD was a rookie play caller. The offense got a whole lot better with the addition of rookie TE Dalton Kincade as Buffalo ran with 2 TEs very little last year and this year it looks to be their mainstay. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1624948-breaking-down-why-the-two-tight-end-offense-is-the-best-in-the-nfl The guy they brought in last season to be the slot WR was injured right away and lil dirty turned out to be no so good... a big failure in that spot. The WR room improved a bunch and with a healthy Davis, it should be so much better. The Buffalo offensive line improved a whole lot over last season and RB James Cook is that breakaway back the Bills have been looking for. The Buffalo defense isn't currently crippled in the secondary like it was at the end of last season. The defense should be improved this season. Will will see which way it goes against the Jets on MNF vs. the Buffalo Bills who have been replaced by some as the SB favorites. I'm highly optimistic about this season.
  13. I agree. The GM is really only as good as the scouts that are giving him info on players. Plus, I'll bet that McD has some input into those defensive picks. *cough cough* Boogie. Seriously, some picks simply don't work out and fans just need to let it go. So he couldn't find a WR in the draft and traded for Diggs, couldn't find that premier pass rusher, and signed Von Miller. This stuff tells me his scouts aren't all that great. Buffalo is a great team and it's mostly because of Beane.
  14. Hey, they were gonna cut him as they were overloaded. At least they got something for him.
  15. All I gotta say is...did we forget that this HC went to the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor at QB? Yes, Josh Allen is a very big reason this team is so good. However, let's not forget that the Buffalo defense has been pretty darn good too.
