Well Bill Simmons has bowed to Bills fans.....
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
But they are doing a weekly QB ranking and updated this week and still way off on Allen. Yes take a look and you will be seeing red. Lamar Jackson much higher on creativity and now I'm still behind Herbert and Rodgers. https://qbrankings.theringer.com/?_ga=2.51474857.1079638398.1663623915-2026742453.1660077876 -

Boy Buffalo fans hate him..... Sorry to burst your bubble, but the world goes beyond Western NY. -
Wide right (still one of the worst drives ever as the Bills easily should have been at least 10 yards closer), Music City Miracle (wouldn't have happened if Flutie QB'd that week and Ralph Wilson didn't stick his nose into the qb controversy) & 13 seconds (how badly and many errors did the coaching staff make?) and there are many thinking the same as you.😡

I get it..... Not happy that fourth quarters are inconsequential as thus affecting Josh's #'s😉, but when they're playing on Sunday at least they'll be other games on (and Minnesota vs. Philly was over too). Boring as long as it isn't the old McD and 40 rushes a game & 160 yards passing if fine by me.

Teef missing the point again???? I'm for the Bills going 20-0 every year. But yes TSW is pretty boring right now and little really to discuss. I have plenty of other sites I can go to for content (Bills & otherwise).

Here we go..... Just starting the podcast.... A huge Bills fan to start Ariel Herwani. https://www.theringer.com/the-bill-simmons-podcast/2022/9/21/23364291/buffalo-bills-wwe-revival-brooklyn-nets-predictions-tim-donaghy-documentary First 30 minutes are the Bills. -
And when the Bills lose this season, this place will come back to life. I am missing the McD threads and posts as to his management of the offence. And if he has another 13 second debacle......😝

The Stadium Wall is a bore to read as there is nothing but injury updates, some news about others teams (should I care coming here to read Bills) and then questions about just how good Josh, Diggs or the defense is, and then the stupid ones on top of that. Well guess we can have some fake worries about the running game or third & short play calling too.....

Buried in another thread - 20 straight wins by double digits
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills have not won anything yet is the point. Don't need another 30 for 30 lamenting the greatest team no to get the ring. http://www.espn.com/30for30/film/_/page/fourfalls -

Sounds like a plan, but a long way to go as we are 2 weeks into this year. -
Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement
Billsfan1972 replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably not fair, but at 35-35 vs. MIAMI, Lamar makes one decent pass, a iffy PI and when one more first down may seal the win, didn't do much (bad 3rd down pass to Andrews) and a then a 47 yard fg. Plenty of time left for Miami who marches down and wins the game. Still not 100% sure how good he is. -
What an incredible streak. Now comes the obvious rebuttal..... Have lost one possession games almost every other time (Arizona hail mary, Pitt, TB, Tenn, Jax, NE in hurricane). Blown out only by Tennessee and Indy over that time period (oh and KC handled them by 9 in 2020). Maybe time to squeak out a 3-4 point win?😜
-
I wasn't emphatic enough. You're absolutely right. That's the minimum he should be doing
-
No idea what to think. I'd not talk to him and disappointed he is in Buffalo and the fact he'll be in someone's suite just seems wrong. I hate the argument that he did his time or other cliches.
-
Huge plays at the worst times are the ones we remember (add Hail Mary vs. Arizona). All three that I mention were inexcusable as they all resulted in losses at inopportune times. NE didn't even pretend to pass the ball and we allow a 70 yard run????

Why I hate Bills playing Thursday Night.....
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Finally Monday...... Boy that was a long time off.....😡 Add to that every game on cable yesterday (and I have 200+ channels) were all the bad ones it seems (TB, Car, GB, Cin......) it was a boring weekend imo. As said disliked this break. -
Well I remember a 70 yard TD run by NE during the hurricane game where NE through <5X's..... Oh & Tyreek burning us in the playoffs for 66 yds(actually was a good thing getting the ball back, but with 13 seconds to much on the clock😉). Unfortunately big plays happen....

I'm as big a fan as anyone here. However yes it is funny how Bills fans react to national media if they are at all negative (btw Bill gets the same from Portland Soccer Moms as he calls them). I listen to him a lot and the Ringer writers have many very positive Bills articles, but Bill (with his Patriots love) is a little slow to jump on the bandwagon or anoint Allen, so often he comes up with scenarios to downplay them. He was going on about the Bills 11-6 record last year forgetting the losses were all fluky in one respect or another. When the Pats won in the hurricane he thought the Bills would be broken and then needless to say he is smarting from the last two Pats-Bills games. Obviously to make the statement he did in the thread is a result of all the Bills fans piling on him. And yes it is the best site there is for Sports and Pop Culture. -

You mean as opposed to us Bills fans? Really look in the mirror (and I'm one of us). Bill's Book of Basketball is great and his knowledge of Sports & Pop Culture is is extensive. And he is a fan. Always good to read and listen to. Don't always agree, but that's life. Of course that was why, but he too knows how good they are and should be (barring injuries). -

Happy I could help.... Sweet dreams!!!!😗 -
20-0 and Josh will be MVP..... Yes I am a fan of The Ringer and their podcasts. Bill Simmons has listened to Bill's Mafia, your emails and texts and I guess the Bills are going undefeated. Of course he is tongue in cheek and yes she is smarting over the Patriots Week 1 performance. He actually is ready for a down year. And nothing will bother more than probably a Bills Super Bowl.... 😜 I will say The Ringer is consistently the best Sports & Pop Culture content on the net. Yes I know it is not all Bills all the time, but they do have plenty and Bill slowly is warming up to them.....🤣

Buffalo Tix week 2.... Most expensive in resale market
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
My best two stories was always coming to games (1-2/yr) never with tickets and always scalpers..... 1. The 1989(?) Oakland Playoff game. Bought 4 tickets probably $20/ticket and got in went to seats and got comfortable watching one of the great routes of all time until some people showed up to our seats. Before an argument broke out, we looked at our tickets and they were for the divisional game, not the championship..... Oops, but we were in the stadium and a great time. 2. Arrive on a glorious October day 50's and sunny (late 90's/early 00's). Walk over to the mall on Milestrip (with the Target) to get a cup and ice (as we had stuff at the car). There is a Tailgate at the restaurant by the road, with 2-3 buses, in the parking lot, good music playing and we walk in planning to get ice and cups and be on our way, but join the crowd and talking to other fans and next thing you know getting beers and food and a great time..... Walk to the game and find two seats for $10/pair. 100 level, Row 25 50 yard line!!!!!😉 Those were the days. -
Not 100% sure it is right, but just was on CBSSPORTSLINE and making my pool picks and with the proliferation of electronic resale market they show the cost of tickets. While sure expensive tickets (i.e. good seats) for other teams maybe more, Buffalo tickets start at $229 (closest is Raiders/Cardinals game). Cheapest is going to Dallas(😝) & Jax (no surprise) $29 & Los Angeles Rams <$40....
