  1. I was there today. No idea what happened on that pick and what Tyrod did. But then back to Dennison and terrible play calling again and again. No Down 16-3 a nice conversion after a 1st & 20 (negating a 30 yard pass) and Dennison calls two straight runs (and not Shady). A game requiring offense and again nothing from Dennison (except putting Webb in for some unknown reason).....
  2. do you know how many 5th round or lower qb's have started in their rookie year? Or even ever get a start? I am saying Peterman is not ready and if he never is it will not be a surprise, a stretch, out of the ordinary or something 95% of NFL fans would care about. That is very different from a first round pick that eventually has to play based on the investment made.
  3. And a polarizing figure as are all short Bill QB's. No just was no where near ready and thrust in to what most people thought was a very important game vs. a 3-6 team that the Bills needed to win. Some bought the crap McDermott spewed "Best Chance to succeed & NFL Ready......". Anyone rational knew otherwise and frankly did get great joy seeing the results. It was the best possible outcome, because if Peterman lost 33-13 and threw for 220 with 3 Ints, he probably would have earned the start vs. KC....... No do not need to see more of him 'til 2018 pre-season if ever.....
  4. You're missing the point. No one is blaming Peterman. I'm blaming the coaching staff for pretending he was ready and calling plays he wasn't capable of converting. Dennison hung him out to dry due to his hubris.
  5. Brees and Wilson lasted longer then they should have for one reason (maybe two for Wilson) because they were short. Dennison coaching Watson. That would have been a disaster.
  6. At 14-3 he Thomson at the 26 on a 35 yard pass that he dropped. On third and 2 before half 17-3 Dennison called a draw to Tolbert. The second half a 26 yard passed was called back on a holding penalty, clay bobbled and then was intercepted and NO ran 24 straight draw plays!!!! Yes blame it all on 9-18 & 56 yards. No he wanted him to throw for 300 and say "I told you so".
  7. How about throwing the ball and a strategy to amass 400+ yards/game, vs. eating clock and playing the game between the 30's and hoping the DX holds the opposing team under 16 points?
  8. And Peterman would win zero and I'd be a rich rich man betting on the Pats and the points.....
  9. How about them going into a game with the expectation and game plan to throw for 300 yards? If Taylor fails miserably you are right. Not a single is their expressed purpose to air it out and thus very team stacks the line and awaits to stuff the Bills. The only time it appeared they had that game plan was when Peterman was at qb, as if to prove a point.
  10. This was Oakland and then on 3rd & 2 we ran again and were stopped. An easy play action was the call on that play. The good news was Oakland was inept and the Bills up 13 (not 3 or 6)......
  11. SO the Bills need to move the ball...... I'm sure Dennison is right on it. Pretty simple stat that is way above our coaches pay grade.
  12. Enough about the Saints....... We get it. Watch the playcalling..... Not much opportunity there (and 24 straight runs by NO all chunks of 8-14 yards). Thompson dropped a 35 yard pass on third and one and also botched a 3rd & 2 prior to the half on a terrible run call to Tolbert. The game was still close at that point (14-3 & 17-3). The three possessions in the third were terrible and Peterman played the 4th...... Included again..... (9:10 - 3rd) (Shotgun) T.Taylor pass short right to C.Clay to BUF 48 for 25 yards (K.Crawley) [A.Okafor]. Caught at BUF 29, slanting from middle. Penalty on BUF-D.Thompson, Offensive Holding, offsetting, enforced at BUF 23 - No Play. Penalty on NO-A.Okafor, Roughing the Passer, offsetting. 2nd and 12 at BUF 23 (8:48 - 3rd) (Shotgun) T.Taylor pass incomplete deep right to L.McCoy. Overthrown, receiver along sideline at BUF 40. 3rd and 12 at BUF 23 (8:29 - 3rd) (Shotgun) T.Taylor pass short middle intended for C.Clay INTERCEPTED by S.Rankins at BUF 30. S.Rankins to BUF 3 for 27 yards (J.Mills). Pass
  13. Fine.... Then he's stoopid...... Pretty damn obvious watching the games and that he was in agreement (or pushed) to start Peterman. Irrefutable evidence imo........
  14. No Dennison is useless and has done everything he can to undermine Taylor & the offense. To see him come out slinging with Peterman (after the first two runs) and the disaster with every ensuing possession (save 2 runs back to back for a TD), told me exactly where Dennison stood.
  15. And you are sure about this. The best thing to do if you ask anyone with a brain is draft that QB and slowly bring him along. If he is so far ahead of the curve like Philadelphia thought with Wentz, you trade him like the Eagles did with Sam Bradford, who's #'s were very similar to Tyrod and get a 1st & 4th........ Tyrod's contract is cheap for a QB......
  16. Matthews is a complementary receiver who played in a throwing offense. Benjamin is a possession receiver picked up when the Bills were 5-2 and realized just how bad the wrs were. Again if Matthews signs a contract within $3,000,000/yr vs. Watkins, given both uninjured the rest of the season you'll see how 31 other teams view the receivers. We get it you are all in on this front office and coaching staff and dislike Taylor.
  17. I didn't say outgun Brady, just that play to score 30 and move the ball and score td's not settle for FG's, because NE will be playing to score 30, while Dennison and McDermott play to win 17-13....... Not going to happen unless the fluke of flukes.
  18. Keeping the other team off the field is the Bills modus operandi, that's all they try and do every game and scoring is by accident only. They try to work the clock and milk every second and play the game between the 30's..... That is what makes the Bills so difficult to watch. 300 yards total offense is there goal and 6 games they haven't reached it (though 3-3). Another they had 307 and vs. LAC they actually scored in the second half...... BTW when they have 400 yards they are 2-0!!!!! They will not be close if under 300 yards offense......
  19. Very simply they need to understand and play that they need to score 30 points on offense, not pray that they hold NE to under 20, which is their mantra. I unfortunately expect them to come out and for the umpteenth time try and establish ball control and clock management, trying to keep the ball out of Brady's hands and Hauchka kicking 52 yard fgs...... Oh how much I hope I'm wrong.
  20. Easier to get a coach that adapts to players strengths then vice versa. Hey I want a mobile qb, and will make Brady and Brees into them. Stop it. Maximize the skills of the players you have.
  21. Again you miss (as did others) the sarcasm in the post. Peterman had time and threw a bad pass, which vs. SD was actually a great result as it was not intercepted (pretty sure the next one was). By pointing out Clay being open I was using the crap everyone uses when they highlight Tyrod's missed plays and then minutiae associated with every throw. BTW way Clay was open and would have been a big play.
  22. You mean having a decent team under a so so coach, and then trading up..... I said that too. Get a high draft pick qb and trade picks to get there if need be. But don't sacrifice a shot at the playoffs.
  23. And we've seen no proof that we are capable of long-term success. This was a .500 team that was closer to the playoffs then a top draft pick. This pie in the sky idea that we can get rid of all the valuable pieces for draft picks and be a powerhouse in 2-3 years is bunk. Show me a team that has done it and been successful. All the great teams have a history of being good. I much rather would have placed my hope in a coaching staff cleaning up the mess much like the Rams have done, vs. the tear the house down to the studs and cross your fingers. They were a within 2 games of the playoffs the last 3 years and that we attributed to bad coaching not the players. If it was the players, then why were the coaches fired/left...... Only 1 team wins the SB every year and the Bills haven't made the playoffs since 1999.
  24. And how much does the offensive schemes and blocking change as they have shotgun sequences anyways? You hand off to McCoy sometimes as opposed to passing, and instead of being under center he's in shotgun. Seems easier for everyone and should have better success.
  25. Here is a great site...... Just searched formations. http://nflsavant.com/search.php?hfPTY=&hfRTY=&hfPT=&hfF=S|&ddlDown=&ddlQuarter=&ddlYardLineGT=&ddlYardLineLT=&txtGameDateGT=&txtGameDateLT=&txtYTGGT=&txtYTGLT=&txtYFPGT=&txtYFPLT=&hfPR=&ddlYear=2017&ddlOTeam=&ddlDTeam=&ddlBall=Offense&ddlPenaltyType=&ddlOrderBy=Plays#results And Buffalo not in it nearly enough looking at the stats.
