  1. You are correct in logic regarding the NYJ tiebreaker. Attached, is the link. We have a chance against the Jets but I don't think we can catch them. http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakers
  2. And that is a problem with a team that wants to play ball control and rely on defense. Today, it hasn't hurt us (because of the penalty). It has in the past (Jacksonville game) and unfortunately it will in the future. On the bright side, we are on the way to winning five of our last seven.
  3. Bledsoe is a 10 year veteran. He is supposed to be a superstar raising the performance of his teammates. He isn't even close. He has not even come close to lifting his team up. Pick ANY stats! Wins and Losses (the most important one), turnovers, sacks, QB ratings, lack of 300 yard games, etc. Bledsoe hasn't gotten it done. I will watch today's game. I will hope and pray that Bledsoe does well. I would like nothing more to be wrong but this guy is bad. Rothesberger has played well and you can keep trying to deny it but it is the truth. Who would you rather have as your QB, Rothesberger or Bledsoe?
  4. As a player, you cannot control the schedule you play and the players around you. What you can control is your own performance. Rothesberger has made the most of his opportunity. Also, the offense has been better than with Maddox. The guy is the real deal.
  5. I think a bigger factor is he is surrounded by good people. Regardless, he is playing very well. There are a lot of QB's that play bad defenses and they are not doing nearly as well.
  6. Even if he is in his early teens, there is no reason to attack him. Besides if he is in his teens, you have to be careful. You may need him to look up something on the internet for your next homework assignment.
  7. The NFL killed that this year. You have to pay to hear the game. You can go to NFL.com and try it for free for sevden days. http://www.real.com/partners/nfl/fieldpass.html
  8. But look at his QB rating. He is 6th in the NFL. Also, if you take out his worst two games, he is even better. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/493043/gamelogs/2004
  9. That isn't a fair statement because you are taking away his worst two games. You have to take away everyone else's worst two games. My guess is he is higher than 26th but still not a multimillion dollar QB.
  10. I am not a big fan of this stat. However, if you want to use it, let use it. Drew currently has a QB rating that is 26th in a 32 team league. The average QB rating is currently 87.22. That means Drew has been above average in only five games and barely above average in two others. If Drew was a journeyman QB, I would have a better time accepting that performance. However, he is a multi million dollar QB who cost us a first round draft pick and counts millions towards our cap. He is one of the worst values in that position in the league. http://www.nfl.com/stats/leaders/NFL/PRAT/2004/regular
  11. I think it will be the Cleveland game at home.
  12. Our 11 year veteran, fell apart again on the road. He had three ints. and 76 yards passing. He isn't getting any better. At least with JP, he has the opportunity to get better.
  13. Who wrote this article? His agent? He isn't going anywhere because no one will want him (not to mention he is making big dollars as a coordinator). He is a very good coordinator. That is it. Wade Phillips is also doing a very good job in SD. Regardless, neither of these guys, has the ability to be a successful head coach. People can point to Belichick and say that people are better the second time. But for every Belichick there is your Wannstedt.
  14. You definitely need to get there early. A few things you should check out on campus. First, check out the Joyce Center across from the stadium. Upstairs are all the trophies and awards. The National Championships and the Heismans are up there. You should also catch the band stepping off from the middle of campus to the stadium. Lastly, you have to check out the Basilica. It is one of nicest churches. Linebacker is fun after the game. Have a blast.
  15. As Wanny did with Chicago, he did win with other coach's players. But as his time wore on, those guys either left or got old. His guys could never replace them. Slowly but surely his teams got progressively worse. It is a sad day. Wanny's slowly guided Miami all the way to the basement. It is a shame he won't stay to keep them there. If Spurrier is the guy, hopefully he is as inept as he was in Washington.
  16. The great thing about local radio guys is they are NOT objective. Cope is an institution just like Van was for us. Do you think Jenneret has a great voice? If you were to listen to him as an objective person, you would think he is insane. But he is great to listen to because he openly roots for the Sabres.
  17. With an agent like Rosenhaus, a friend in Ray Lewis, and a University of Miami pedigree, he is well on his way to becoming the next OJ (a criminal). Seriously, he looks good. I was a bit disappointed that he got caught from behind by a DE (he may have had an angle on WM). Hopefully, he can continue to improve his game and stay healthy. He needs to perform week after week.
  18. Oooops!!!! I guess we do have a 97 on our offense. TIVO says it was still Euhus and not Bannan though on the false start!!
  19. He is down. Who is going to drop the ball today?
  20. Regardless of the whole WM/TH thing, Golic is right. You never give up, period! I hope that Moulds' play will teach WM and others that lesson.
