Broncos considering signing Incognito
ProcessAccepted replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly I don't think that the guy knows how to control himself. No way he could do is for 14 weeks. He's a grown @$$ man, no way is it worth the distraction of chaperoning him like other teams had to do with the likes of Pacman Jones. -
NFL networks morning show

Completely unwatchable tv. Lavar Arrington is an idiot. ED is the only coherent one and he just looks bored and clearly only there for a paycheck. I'm just surprised to see a thread i here about it. -
Defensive Rankings After 10 Weeks
ProcessAccepted replied to TheBillsWillRiseAgain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's the rushing yds/game and 3rd down defense that impresses me the most. I'm loving that scrub RBs aren't getting 6+ yards a carry on us this year. -
If we fall flat on Thursday then I'm there with you. This is a character game, going into their house to play then when their season is also on the line. This is two teams wanting to prove something. Could not be more excited about this game. The Dolphins fought hard against the Lions last week, they are going to come out swinging.

If he was worth the drama then the Pats would have taken a look at him. We are better off without that in our locker room. If the Broncos roll the dice then lets just see how long it works out. -
Tannehill banged up going into TNF

I wouldn't be to quick to state that their RBs are a mess. There's deceptive speed there. Call me superstitious but I'll pass judgement on them on Friday -
Why is Leodis, of all people, mouthing off?
ProcessAccepted replied to Uncle Monkeyhead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like that he's angry. He's been really good this season on d and special teams. It was one blemish (hopefully just one). He's come along way from the 2009 fumble that cost us the win against the Pats. -
I'm beginning to think that 4merper4mer is Mike Williams the way he's standing up for him in multiple threads. CAn't blame him for not using his real name though

Bills Coaches Sleep Overnight at OBD After Loss to KC

Ok this is my last stab at this. Our defense has been great but not perfect. The 4-1 touchdown for starters, bone head penalties that keep drives alive, lack of scoring points like great the defenses do. Arizona has 3 defensive TDs to our 0. These are game changers Take away the Bryce Brown fumble and the McKelvin fumble and there is no way KC win that game even with Williams out of the game. If Williams was the answer there is no way Tampa would have basically given him to us before the season. He is talented but he has character issues that distract from the mission. He is not talented enuf to make is worth our while to try and incorporate him. Last year the only teams that were 12 or more wins were Patriots, Broncos, Panthers, Seahawks and 49ers. That's a lot of teams with more complete mature rosters that did not make the 12 wins. We are still without a great O-line (its improving) and a top tier qb. When the O-Line clicks fully our running game will get back to 2012 levels and our red zone % will improve. Our roster is good and talented but still needs time to reach it's potential -
With those stats - that is a great question.

Why I think Marrone should be fired...

Schwartz has been great for us, but L'm not sure the folks in Detroit feel that way. His teams were undisciplined and blew games because if it. Not to mention the famous Harbaugh handshake incident, not exactly what you look for in your leadership team. He's done a great job with our defense and if he gets another opportunity at the end of the season so be it. If he did I'd love to get Mike Singletary in here. I think he could do great things for us with the talent that we have on defense. -

Carson Palmer is a franchise qb, time will tell on Drew Stanton. I'm mot sure that they will be a 12 win team when all is said and done. I'm not sure that we went out of our way to get Williams, I think we got him, like we did with other players some of whom have been solid additions. I like to use facts to drive decisions. The facts are that the AFC this year is a lot more competitive than the NFC. Despite this we are 5-4 and arguably could have been 7-2 (Texans and KC). We have a pretty challenging schedule this year - Pats twice, Broncos & Chargers to say the least. That's 4 games that I believe a franchise level qb would be useful to say the least. 12 wins are never easily come by. I do not think anyone had us down for 12 wins before the season. -

Williams was highly ranked coming in the league and done little with anyone Lots of folks on this board agree with not keeping Stevie Goodwin is battling injuries all year. It's hard to use a guy properly when he's out due to injury Watkins is having a great year and is out performing expectations for him in his rookie season (leading Rookie of the Year voting) We've added a lot of pieces and addressed our horrible run defense from past years. If we had a QB we'd be right in there. My point is this - they are not enough top quality qbs for everyone. I have no idea how Indy got so lucky to have one terrible year as Luck was entering the draft. We've addressed defense, I think we have developing talent and size at O-Line but they are learning still. We have an upgrade from Fitzpatrick but we do need to find the long term guy. We are building in the right direction but without that QB we are not a 12 win team in this league. -

Lets now confuse the issue with facts -
It's not just QBs egos, its rhythm and leadership. I'm not aware of any situation at anytime were switching QBs in and out ever worked consistently. I think that is why the Jets brought in Tebow and we all laughed at them. What we also have to remember about EJ is that his teammates chose not to vote him as a captain. There's not many QBs out there without the "C" on their jerseys. Also if EJ was such a great threat in short yardage we'd have been much better in the red zone

How can you say 12 win talent. I think we're all pining for a better option for QB but that's who we have. How many teams are searching for that guy, there's just not enough of them out there. With out a quality QB and backup there are no 12 win teams. Look at what the $100M guy did in Cinci last week. -

The Lions never carried him off the field when he was in Detroit. Some people are great coordinators but not cut out to be the guy. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/01/schwartzs-5-years-worst-for-any-coach-since-expansion-bucs/ -
Thing is EJ lost games way before the 4th quarter. I'm just not a fan of overreacting to a game or a possession. EJ's accuracy is an oxymoron, lets face it the guy doesn't have any. This was not Orton's best game for us but the over pursuit on the 4-1 and nobody accounting for Charles was right up there with the Fumble going into the end zone were the real killers. McKelvins not as much. Orton is a seat filler until we get a legitimate contender for a franchise QB. He's done a good job of it and has us in the conversation. He's missed some throws but he's also hit some great ones to win us games.

Homey's not clowning. I lived in DC for a few years. Those fans got on and off the bandwagon sooo many times each season. Worst fans ever. Lets stay the course, let see how our guys respond the rest of the way. -

We are in the middle of a realistic run to the playoffs. Lets not turn this organization into the Raiders. It takes time to change a culture and this leadership team is doing exactly that. Last week was a setback, a huge opportunity wasted. Lets see how they respond on Thursday before we judge the character of the 2014 Buffalo Bills. We had some great wins like the Vikings win, making big plays just when they were needed. Remember week 1 and Freddie's run to setup the win. I did not see the Patriots loose faith after their beat down by KC. They focused on the next game and what they needed to do to win. Marrone and Whaley are correcting issues that were created in past years and left uncorrected and festering. Regaining our winning culture after years with Williams, Mularkey (SMDH), Jauren & Gailey. You gotta give them a little time after that list. -

Lets see how they respond Thursday before we completely trash the roster. There's talent on the team and some great finds in other people's trash. Hughes and Hogan are shaping up great. Bryce Brown looked good on Sunday if you take away the fumble. I know he has a history of losing the ball but there's lots of great RBs that had their fumbling issues coached out of them. AP and Tiki Barber are just two examples. There's been a lot of years of head scratching for me with some of the moves but I really like how this team is being built. I just feel sorry for #22 and #95 for the crap coaching, rosters, organization etc that has wasted their contributions. I am expecting this team to respond with pride against a Miami team that angry for the loss to Detroit and wants to get revenge on the whupping we gave them week 2. Bills win 27-20 -
I love picking on Jets fans as much as anyone but it was one just game. I remember us signing Rob Johnson after that one Jacksonville game. Lets not get carried away here. Sanchez will start throwing picks soon if he's not running into his O-Line and fumbling.

Exactly. The gameplan was good enuf, the execution wasn't .
