I think it’s not the trade itself but the fact you’re trading up for a guy who you have 3, potentially 4 guys of the similar ability/style on the roster going into the season already…

Absolutely with you. I’d add Mike Green too. I know there character concerns but I thought he’d go late first at worst.

Never really go by draft projections as they’re always up in the air outside the first 15-20 guys who are first rounders. Scourton and Stewart are awesome and whilst a CB and a DT are a bigger need for where we are at, can’t go wrong with either of them. They’re a weird combo. The tape as a whole makes me like Scourton slightly more but Stewart isn’t very far behind him. I think his measurables are what put him ahead. On the other note of those players who fit the mold for #30, Hairston has really grown on me as a selection. But then again, I’m just a peon.

He shouldn’t given where the league is. Absolutely a high character guy, I read THIS article a week or so ago and can’t help but hope he lands on the team if we go corner early and it isn’t Barron/Hairston/Johnson. He’s in the Amos/Morrison/Thomas group of corners so there is a chance.
