Coleman will be a WR1 for us.  What people are not realizing is we are not trying to "replace" Diggs and Gabe, we are building a different style offense all together for what Joe Brady wants to do.  We are in now way are trying to get Davis 2.0 and Diggs 2.0 and their focus now is clear about that and Beane has said as much.

It'll be interesting to see what Brady does with the receivers. If you look at his history being involved in offenses (Carolina, LSU, Saints) he's never had a receiving TE. Now he has 2. The major production has always come from his guys on the outsides (Diggs--Davis, Anderson--Moore, Jefferson--Chase, Thomas--Ginn Jr.). I don't envision him relying on Samuel to be the guy in that way.

Yep. That is the way to see this pick. We have upgraded on Gabe Davis as WR2. But if you see Curtis Samuel therefore as the Diggs replacement we have significantly downgraded at that spot.

Samuel was the Davis replacement. He's a 7-800ish yard receiver in this offense. Coleman is the Diggs replacement as the potential #1, plus Kincaid. Those two are going to fed the ball. I do expect them to still get another burner like Tez Walker, too. There will be a lot of cooks in the kitchen at that point and it will be interesting to see how the receiving corps shakes out.

I don't think we trade down.

Patriots are picking right behind us, and they are likely going WR. So anyone willing to trade with us will also likely want to jump them for a WR. That means 2 WRs taken before our pick.

We are taking Franklin / McConkey / Coleman to start Day 2 imo.

Or they're fine letting two WRs go and still get the C they want

without going full math geek we've lost two starters in the secondary who were on the back half of their careers. Our back 7 tackling was pretty abysmal all year. I think having DBs and LBs who can make stops can force some 3 and outs in key games.

Save for unearthing a Maxx Crosby like gem I don't see us finding a pass rusher unless we trade up. Maybe Rousseau will blossom but we can't rely on that materializing.

We found out the hard way that Miller needs a Chubb. he's ineffective by himself. I'd rather have a platoon of 9 sack guys we can rotate on fresh legs than one guy who can get 20 sacks but gets double teamed.

Does not having an all star DE make McD a better play caller, too? I like when he's manufacturing pressure with well-timed blitzes rather than relying on his front 4.

Happy for Wilson. He needed to get the hell out of NJ. Wilson isn't a good QB, but that organization did him no favors and constantly undermined him at every opportunity. Salah should get fired for the gross mismanagement of his first draft pick.

Why shouldn't Wilson get fired? He sucks and for all we know he's a huge ***** *****.

  6. It's a hit in that it's an improvement over the current uniform, which I never liked. The shoulder treatment is great, since straight lines have never worked on rounded shoulders. The jagged edge reminds me of a horse's mane in the wind.

These uniforms overall are aggressive and clean.

Although, I do agree with others that they could've gone back to the old rearing bronco logo.
