  1. The confidence really shown through with that trade. I loved it.

They know deep down that they're competing for a playoff spot this year. They know that if EJ had stayed healthy, they would've been competing for one last year.

They recognized a HOF-type talent and snatched him up. The Bills have been lacking that type of moxy for years.

Watkins: only true freshman WR in history to make first team all-American. Greatness.

  2. Well...

The Bears were last...dead last...in the NFL in Rushing yards per attempt allowed in 2013...And to give you an idea of how bad they were the 31st team was a half yard per attempt better than the Bears...

So...Yes...The Bills will need to get good blocking on the inside...But if 2013 is any indication that Defense can be run on BIG time...The Bills Defense was thought to be weak vs the run last year and we allowed .9 yds less per attempt than the Bears last year...I really don't see why we can't run against the Bears...But I do agree that if we can't we're dead in the water... B-)

They can only improve. With some new pieces and a new DC, it's an unknown.

They still have the same LBs, though. They're hoping Bostic has improved considerably. He looked decent in preseason. Seattle still ran all over them, though.

Is this part sarcastic? Because Hackett has yet to show he is willing/proficient at running those plays. In fact, aren't those his two largest criticisms, along with exploiting weaknesses and working towards strengths. Given all that, I expect the Bills to pound CJ between the tackles for approximately 60 minutes.

I might be too optimistic that they get that part of their game going. We saw it plenty in the preseason along with problems executing it.

I don't think they'll have a problem running it up Chicago's gut, anyway.

  3. Full season.

That's roughly 1.5 seasons to see if he realizes his potential on the field.

If it looks really bad and nothing changes in the offseason, Orton starts next year and they draft another project in the mid rounds. Maybe they lose out and get a very early draft pick in 2016 to use on one of the best QB prospects.

  4.

no desperation, and no pics exchanged so sorry to dissapoint you guys,

and After further review, I'll borrow a few words from DC Tom, AZBackers an idiot

lol, come onto our site claiming he just blasted mods on his last site, great job man, thats one way to get our mods attention

I don't know this guy

Dude, you're being weird now. Sorry, I don't remember our conversation from a long time ago.

I never said anything bad about you, just that I didn't know you.

T&C is the one that banned me.

  5. You know it's funny you mention that as I was drafting my team last week, I was getting nervous as I seemed to be selecting a high percentage of white guys.

I did it in my 4th league that I don't really care about. It'd be funny if I actually won or even did good. I misses out on Nelson, though. Trying to trade for him.

Prioritize the top 3 quarterbacks and the top 10 running backs. If those become quickly unavailable (ie. you draft toward the end of the first round) get yourself a couple elite WRs.

If you're picking first overall, probably go with LeSean McCoy.

As somebody said, go for a kicker in the last round. Defense too, unless you want to absolutely make sure you get Seattle.

Some of my sleepers: Devonta Freeman, Zach Ertz, Travis Kelce, Kelvin Benjamin, Allen Robinson

Oh, and if you can stomach taking Patriots, try to get Shane Vereen in the 4th round. He'll have his share of 20 point games this season.

I drafted Ertz in all my leagues. I think he's going to break out. Just a hunch.

  6. No where in any other preseason game are either of these plays used. I am not saying that we have a stash of secret plays that no one can defend, but I do think we have a lot more to keep defenses off balance than we showed. That is really what offense is about, keeping a defense guessing. I think that, especially with regards to the run game, we have a lot more planned than we have seen. At least this is what I'm going to tell myself for the next 5 days.

And it's exactly what the coaches and players have told us. Weird.

  7. I am again on an island in that I don't have an issue with the play calling. Unless you studied the opponent, match ups and analytics in devising the game plan the average fan does not know which play should be called in each situation. I may question some plays that don't work but to complain they were the wrong calls is crazy IMO since I wasn't involved in the game plan.

Have you read the thread? You're not on an island, sweetheart. More like a peninsula.
