Ideally... we could offer him the Assistant Head Coach so he could get more experience and help the team a couple of more years, at least one more year.
That is a win win situation.Thats gunna be a no from me dogg. Aaron Kromer needs that job, and he needs it ASAP. IMO he's the single most important coach on the staff to retain, and thats not hyperbole. Get him a raise while were at it...... oh and his daughter Brooke (cute as heck, huge fan of her dad and the Bills) is a sports reporter, get her on PR or writing staff ASAP too. At least extra access to Beane, Coach, Players, whatever.

He has been successful with the greatest offensive talent in college football history at LSU and a Bills team with one of its best offensive lines in history, a Pro Bowl RB and a Hall of Fame QB. He failed in Carolina with a low talent level. His route structures are very basic and Josh has created an absolutely insane amount of off schedule plays this year it’s hard to even know what it looks like without him. I prefer to retain him for continuity and I love how he has gotten Josh away from the three point offense Dorsey had. But I don’t see some mastermind, and in my opinion, if he leaves he will have a very similar fate as Daboll.
Garbage take, seriously. Rhule firing him was the biggest scapegoat job ive ever seen. Dude took Teddy B and pumped out just under three 1k receivers. Samuel, DJ Moore and had Robbie freaking Anderson looked like Jon Brown in his prime there.... all while CMC was out. That was a very fun offensive team to watch!!!! 2 of those 3 WR's have not matched that output since then
Im not here to say hes Sean McVay, but dude thrived everywhere hes been. Might not be a good HC, we'll see but super short sighted to write him off

The good news is that the teams with openings this year are crappy situations. Hopefully Brady has learned how important the organization from top down is important to his success as a HC.
He was an OC in Carolina before he was here. He has seen what having no QB and a bad owner does to a HCs job security.
Hoping hes been watching his peer in Ben Johnson. Also, if we lose and somehow McD is out, we should offer that guy the keys to Buff lol

Darnold has turned back into Darnold. Kinda sad.
Man what a blessing and a nightmare if you're the Vikes. Seemed like they had the next Geno, a guy that ain't gunna kill your pass game or your cap... and that's gone.... but better now than next year after you pay him.
McCarthy was a bad pick before and now he's coming off injury. What a crap situation to feel like a competent qb away
-
If Vikes take this 3rd n out, after that TD bring over turned, it might be an even harder momentum swing than if that play stood
IMO. Crowd is rowdy. Enjoy the neutral playoff game after all the neutral college games. Kinda wish there was a way to have a few of these every year. Maybe the middle seeds matchup should be neutral in wildcard each year

Hoping ravens turn the ball over a couple times. Otherwise we need superman Josh to show up.
The easiest #1 thing TBD can do..... scream like you GD lives depend on it. 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th down.... NOT at the line. It starts in the huddle. Hire me and Ill sacrificial lamb pump in artificial noise and they can fire their 'rogue' audio director LOL

Unnecessary. Coach will let him know. He’ll be under control vs Baltimore.
Yep lol that was Iverson
I forget who said it but 'I'd much rather have a guy you gotta get to settle down a bit than a guy you gotta try and get up for gametime

During his season-ending exit interview earlier this week, Watson complained of discomfort after rolling his ankle while in Miami.
While in Miami? Are they talking about during a Fins game? If so, how did they miss a ruptured achilles when examining his foot the first surgery a few months ago???
Was he just in Miami on recreation? Why include this confusing/irrelevant detail. Modern day writers are so good!!
WHAT DOES THIS MEANNNNNNN? LOL

haha. Lamar. Okay. Can't wait to see the Steelers destroy them this weekend.
I would absolutely froth my loins if this happened.
I hate the Ravens (Ray Lewis murdered & got a statue- Fitting for that city)
I hate the city of Baltimore; all the dirt of a blue collar city, none of the charm.
19% of reported visitors find rusty hypodermic needles in their food (I made this up, but its probably close)
I hate their fans.
I imagine their stadium smells like Stavros' computer chair
I dont actually hate Lamar, but everything else I listed makes me forget I don't.

It's going to be Belichick.
Florio just posted a story about a guy with ties to Freddie Kitchens (who is on the UNC staff, served as interim HC and is supposed to be Belichick's OC there) being hired on the defensive side of the ball at UNC.
That's a clue, according to Florio, that Belichick is planning to leave and Kitchens will be HC at UNC and the college will have $10 million extra.
I think it makes sense.
You think Mark Davis is going to pay UNC the $10m to break that contract? That alone makes them the least likely team to grab Belicheck. Thats without even considering the side where Belicheck has to pull another 'Jets/Pats carousel' moment, that will certainly further stain his career.
I think at earliest its after a year at UNC he would even consider it. He was on ESPN ticker just yesterday for getting his first recruit. Personally I think he could end up loving college if he gets the right staff to do most of the 'cruiting. He can recruit by them using his last name, and having a direct to NFL pipeline of connections & friends in the NFL. Dude can rule with an iron fist so hard, itd make Urban blush. Admittedly im biased I want to see him stay at UNC. Theyre not my college team but I live in the area and think it'd be fun to see.
I think if he can turn a program around in college and win a Natty, itd do more for his career than another SB, AND I think its a lot more likely than a SB is for him. I get why ppl would disagree with me there though!

Half of this prediction bracket breaks if Jordan Love doesn't play. The other half breaks if the Chargers can bring an A-game in the division round.
I may perform a handstand into a bucket full of wet cement, if Herbert & Burrow end up making a SB before Josh lol

I actually listened to Schopp and the Bulldog. Not my favorite show by any means, but I’ll give them credit - the interview with Dunne was good.Schopp asked what happened behind the scenes. Dunne admitted he’s never spoken on this before but was ok sharing the broad details. He said that after the article dropped, he got a phone call from McDermott the next day. He couldn’t share everything they spoke about but said McDermott wanted to get to know him in the offseason and learn about what he does.
McDermott and Dunne met in-person at the NFL Combine in late Feb. This was not for an article just both getting to know each other. I believe Beane met with him separately as well for a story. Again no details were shared but I’m guessing they spoke on a few different occasions. Two months later, Dunne got media credentials for the first time in Buffalo.
To his credit, Bulldog asked whether he thought the Bills were working him. Dunne said no because it’s rare for an NFL team to reach out like that after such a critical article. He mentioned his piece on Aaron Rodgers and that he’s not welcome with the Packers and that there are bad feelings toward him from the Jets since Rodgers arrived.
As far as this current interview, with the postseason approaching he put in a media request with Bills PR and it was approved. It was supposed to be a 15-20 minute interview but McDermott gave him a full hour.
FWIW Tyler thinks the Bills will beat Denver handily. He was also asked whether McDermott has evolved from the criticisms he mentioned in the article - Dunne said “we’re about to find out.”
Serious question here, despite me being critical. Anybody know if he's well received with a FO anywhere? I can be objective but we can not count the Bills here, because we have no way of knowing if this was authentic or 'keep your enemies closer.'
Above is 2 teams he's not welcome with; maybe thats a bit of a nothing burger since it revolves around Rodgers from both those. Does he write heavily on any other teams... is he received well or poorly anywhere else noteable?
If not we have 2 teams unwelcoming him, and 1 team arguably 'keeping their enemy closer'. My mom taugh me if problems are always near you, youre the problem.
But maybe Dunne, Antonio Brown, and Stefon Diggs are all unlucky mis-understood super-victims, where everybody dislikes them for no reason at all?

Is that Codrington's position? I love that dude as a returner, cant believe the Jets let us have him, and I hope we keep him around. Id enjoy some stability back there again!!!

Need to keep that pipeline open and flowing with young black Assistant GM's! Beane is a wizard, and the belief will be anybody surrounding him must be the next top-gun. kinda like the pipeline of young WR's through the draft and Josh hyping them up for big deals elsewhere after 4 seasons... we all know who's steering. If we can lift someone else up, get a sick return, supplementing our draft capital..... then thats best for everyone and Im dead serious I wouldnt hire a white guy (coming from a white guy too). Play the game within the rules youre given

Emmanuel Acho's answer to why Josh Allen should be MVP. It's a 15 yard completion on 2nd and 6
He then breaks down the tape, in which we see Knox slipping, Hollins being doubled and failing to uncover, Kincaid being slow to release, and Coleman not just being jammed but FLATTENED at the LOS.It's painful to watch.
And oh, yeah, Allen just casually evades a few rushers and buys some time until someone gets up and gets open (it's Ty Johnson).
Dudes ***** is the MVP. Peanut butter skin and rack

I honestly wish we went back to 6 team playoffs in each conference. I don't like any league that let's 50% of the teams into the playoffs. This may have been an off year, but most of the teams secured their playoff spot with 3-4 weeks left in the season. I think it waters down the regular season importance.
If we did go to 8 playoff teams, I would recommend a bye week for everyone, then just 8v1, 7v2, etc.
I would also change it so that winning your division only guarantees your a playoff spot, not a seeding. So if you win your division at 9-8, you might just be the 8 seed.
Overall, with us most likely going to an 18 game schedule. Go back to 6 playoff teams. Two preseason games (one home, one away). Two bye weeks for everyone (1st bye week between weeks 6-10, 2nd bye week between weeks 11-15 weeks. 1 and 2 seed get the 3rd bye. I'd also say to just get rid of the divisions. Play everyone in your conference once, and rotate conference games (3 per year, only 2 less than we have now)
To the contrary I loveeeeeeeee the 8 teams getting in, but only for NBA/NHL where their is a series. The series format is sooooo far superior for so many reasons (IMO), but it obv just cant work for football.
The division winner getting a top 1-4 seed needs some work, it sucks having the Vikings get #5 seed, with a team like TB seeded at #3 AND THERE ARE 3 TEAMS WITH BETTER RECORDS BEHIND THEM.

It’s much easy to scream about journalistic bias than actually read things. Humans change. McDermott sounds like he’s changing. Maybe Dunne has evolved too. Mouth-breathers on the internet don’t like nuance. I don’t know what’s worse - the folks in this thread cursing out Dunne without reading the article, or the folks in this thread proudly proclaiming that they won’t pay for content (while at the same time complaining about how content has gotten worse). These kinds of takes contribute to the sh__ification of society. The s-fication of society is giving attention, let alone paying (supporting) slanderous hit pieces from toddlers trying to sink a season, because they didnt get a press pass. You do you!
