Just got my first sign of the week.
Watching BKFC (Bareknuckle Fights), main event comes on and the lead corner coach is rocking a Bills hat. Best part, it's at wells Fargo center in philly and have the card has been philly fighters. See Birds stuff all night... and this angel of violence ripping Buffalo!!!
Go billssssss!

Honestly as much as I hate them from rivalry, they don't deserve to lose their team. They deserve a real owner! Hope they don't move

St Louis feels like next up. Nfl is trying not to get sued. While I can't recall details I have read a handful of times that city wants to sue them, and had a reasonable legal grounds to do it... and the only thing was them trying not to piss all over their chances at getting one back.

Thank you for responding. The most important thing is that we WIN the dam game.
PS: I think 7 out of 100 would be 7.0 %.

The hope was that Kincaid would be the next Kelce. As a route runner, he might have a chance. He has all the physical tools and an understanding of finding spots in zone. The problem is that he’s such a bad blocker they have to split his time with Knox. It does make you wonder if Sam LaPorta would have been a better fit for the offense. The selling point of Kincaid was his potential which we hopefully haven’t see yet.
Wish they'd use him as the big slot he was advertised as

I find it is healthier not to dwell on things I can’t control. I’m concerned, but I’m spending little time thinking about it so far. It’s genetics, I think, like turtles knowing what to do when they are born. Survival. I can’t get worked up. Yet.
From reading your posts around here I know you're significantly older than me at 36.... but this is only the 2nd AFCCG I've been old enough to take in. I was hopeful the first one, but kinda knew it was a long shot.
This one feels like we're due. I'm assuming your 4 year run has you better prepared.... not me.
I wouldn't even say I'm overly worried, but this game has been every waking second since baltimore ended. Almost 0 exaggeration.
First thought when I wake up. Every conversation with family or friends gets steered towards the game.
Trying to get my 9 year old daughter to really soak this in. Telling her I was a few years younger than her last time we were in a SB, but I don't remember any of them. 31 years

If you were creating a tackle in a lab, you'd get something that looks a lot like Brown. He's the prototype.
People have no patience. Back injuries are brutal for lineman and it took some time to get over. He was also as raw as a prospect gets. He switched from TE, played very little college ball at a tiny school and had sat out the covid year before being drafted. He was always going to need some time to develop but he was the ideal block of clay to mold.
Side bonus is that IMO he's brought out the best in Dawkins, who is having a career season.
Dont forget dude also played HS ball in a 8 on 8 (9 v 9? something like that). RAW

Weird hire.
Kinda see the Raiders needing a culture reset guy, but feels like they are gonna have a different HC 3 years from now. Maybe they will pick Pete's chosen successor?
Doesnt feel that weird when you word it like this LOL actually feels right on brand for the Raidhers
-
Wow, he was a hot name last year for HC. Anybody interested in bringing him in for a role, a la Joe Brady, in case we lose our OC down the road??? That worked out beautifully really. Maybe that guy is already on staff, but seems like no

Does anyone have the fear that the NFCE is the Bills kryptonite?
We lost to 3 of 4 teams in the 90s. When we beat the chiefs, and if the Eagles beat the Commanders. We have the chance to erase that curse, or go 4/4 with losses to the NFCE in the SB.
Not trying to be negative, but just want others thoughts on this.
Im not even superstitious...... but a dang blatant jinx talking about anything past Chefs is a major faux pas.... many here would appreciate you deleting this LOLLLLLL

The point is not whether it is a challenge or not a challenge. The point is whether it is a foul or not a foul and those subjective calls are never going to be perfect whether you have 10 refs or two.
The best thing they could do IMO is really simplify the rule book.
Oh you dont like that theres a doctors thesis required to determine what is a catch? Weird, most fans love that!!!

Then you'll get complaints about the other 1500 other possible holding calls missed the entire game that aren't as obvious. They tried to allow coaches to challenge DPI calls and it was a disaster. It's a slippery slope and/or unintended consequences that will just make things worse.
The NFL tried.... the refs acted like besmirched insulted woman and refused to overturn a single one because they didnt like their judgement being questioned.
Right then and there they shouldve opened a referee'ing academy like the MLB's ump school, and accepted only the top .1% of the best of the best.
Crazy they let those dorks strong arm the league that pays them. Does anybody think there arent a million refs who would push their own mother down the stairs to sniff that job?? The NFL can say with 100% certainty this is the best of the best, cant possibly get better???
Its crazy how Goodell wrecked the worlds most perfect product. All he had to do was leave it alone. Instead hes acted with the swift impulse of ideas as a guy on his 100th rail at a 2am house party

As a Chiefs fan you are right. I am bored with it. The first time we reached the SB it was a relief after 50 years of failure. When we won it was like something unreal that I never thought I would experience. Typically this week I would be keyed up and nervous, but this week I am not. It is not because I am arrogant and think we couldn’t possibly lose, or that we are so much better than everyone else. It is simply that it has lost it luster to a certain extent. It also helps because it’s the Bills and I am a closet fan of Allen. If it can’t be us it has to be you.Wishing this to be contagious to your team as well LOL to be a hundred millionaire and have a few month long vacation waiting. Mahomes could work on that golf game too, as im sure hes tired of Allen beating him at the links hahahahahhha
I do think most players would be prone to this at least to some degree.... but a good coach overcomes that, and yall have that. I expect full effort when the real bullets fly, but maybe theres a sense of too calm in the lockerroom the week leading up to it
Makes me think of this quote "No matter how hot she is, someone somewhere is sick of her isht"

How about a couple of deep strikes to Cooper in this game for scores please
If were role playing fantasies, how about play #1 Chris Jones gets pancaked by Brown and wedged into the core of the earth upon finish. He Danny Glover's it - ' Im too old for this ishtttttt', and makes business decision to play like a lamb the rest of the day

I'm not a neurologist or doctor but there's a lot of symptoms like eye dilation, slurring words, memory loss, nausea etc that coincidence with the science on brain trauma.
It's not really something you can pretend away.
Unless you're saying that the Drs or medical ppl are corrupt in the NFL.
I mean I guess that's possible. It certainly wasn't with tua. So who knows
I agree with you here; which is what makes all this all the more damning 2 sets of rules exist. NFL wants the appearance of protecting players, but ONLY when it does not harm the product on field. theyre saying one thing, and doing another. corrupt might be too strong, but at the very minimum its pretty obvious to me theyre there to screen for Plausible deniability with weaker concussions IF the player or the moment is big enough to warrant it.... 'if we put this dude out there, is he going to turn around and run the wrong way on the field? no? throw some dirt on it

It's not BS dude.
This has been explained like a million times
Being in concussion protocol doesn't mean you necessarily had an " actual concussion"
There's also a lot of different reasons a player is placed in the protocol.
A perceived big hit
Symptoms
Precautionary
Very limited symptoms
A big hit but no symptoms
Etc etc
The protocol is simply a process there to protect a player from himself and as a safeguard. It's a checklist
This is why the Mitch Morse is documented times of having a " concussion" was ridiculous.
You could be in the concussion protocol 10x in your career but nothing ever happened.
There's also different opinions on how the methodology of the concussion protocol is applied to a massive hit like tua had for example where a player is unconscious or having a minor seizure and that contrasted with repeated minor hits to the head like in boxing or what an olineman might go through repeatedly.
It's not necessarily settled which is more degenerative or how fast a possible degenerative condition might be
Long story short, concussion protocol doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong or that a player even had a concussion.
It's not BS lol
Sorry, have to disagree.
The sport is coached, reffed, and players grandfathered into the "throw some dirt on it" generation.
Its a multi-billion dollar industry. Sure at times it works; but big players and big games are working with diff set of rules... WE'VE ALL SEEN IT! Plays where you're like thewy didnt even bring that dude into the tent? We've seen it with Josh. We've seen it with Tua. Its all calculated, informed risk. Big game and players are juiced to go.
Peyton talking about throwing baseline test off
Ever see what the blue tent test consists of? It is not quick no matter how fine you are. Yet earlier this season, Josh missed 1 play, and "happened" to come out the tent at the right time LOL Maybe he wasnt concussed, sure!!! But there is noooooo wayyyyyyy that test was fully administered. This is also supported but what all of our eyeball tests have told us.

More often than not that’s what playoff football has felt like to me, DBs holding their a** off, olinemen holding their ** off, and refs just lettin all these guys fistfight eachother basically lol
All I know is 2021 AFCCG; this absolutely KILLLLLLEDDDDDDDDD us twofold:
1. Not only were Chiefs cool with holding the living hell out of our WR's. Our WR's were small. J Brown, Cole & Diggs. Couldnt get off their man
2. Our Secondary Group were playing like choir boys, trying not to get flagged.... when refs had clearly illustrated THEY DIDNT EVEN OWN THEM
This WR group is built much better for these types of holds. I see no reason KC doesnt start the game aggressively challenging refs to see what they can get away with. Interesting battle.
I hope our WR's and Secondary are practicing for this. We want our guys coached up to hold and grab until flags start flying and we can re-assess. They should be practicing how to hold in a discreet manner.... hell. Hire an old retired ref to consult them the proper way to conceal, and what a playoff hold looks like. Have refs there to simulate this in scrimmage. Coach our WR's to play through it, no flopping. Seems like they punish guys who dont work through the hold as best as they can, by not throwing the flag.
For what to NOT do; reference the way Oliver handled that goalline play vs Baltimore looking for a flag. Work through it; show the refs you earned it and did everything you could to overcome the penalty AND make the play

You can still stay in KC, make it a weekend, do the tailgate thing... Saving $900/person is worth a couple of 3-hour drives to me.
And ALL Bills roadie trips are exhausting if you do them right. But if you judge the trip simply by the outcome of the game then maybe it's better you don't make that trip.
Honestly, if youre talking about just paying for transportation (flight, car, whatev) + Hotel --- and then tailgating to watch the game outside the stadium. That sounds f'n dopeeeeee. Are there any large Bills groups setting up a Bills tailgat for everybody to meet up at? I dont have $$ for tix, but am more looking for some Buffalo Fan Vibes, than I am going in. Tailgating and watching with Bills fans sounds like 85% of the fun as going inside is..... for about 50% of the price

So I found a deal already that totals $500 RT for me to get a ticket plus travel to KC for the game. I'm thinking about it honestly now bc this is cheap. And Josh is great.
Care to share the details?

If you're anywhere near the game wait until the last minute to go and buy tickets. If you're within three or four hours you'll be able to wake up that morning and say screw it I can spend $200 on a good ticket.
The cost of these tickets is going to drop dramatically. They're over 2500 resale tickets still available right now, and I estimate 1500 face value tickets.
When resale value tickets are less than the face value tickets there's going to be a major falling off.
You will be able to get into this game for less than $150, you'll be able to move up lower bowl for less than $150.
What I'm saying is if you want to go:
Buy tickets as cheap as possible
Wait until the first quarter and buy an upgraded ticket
Wait so you buy the initial ticket cheap from Ticketmaster now... then check 1 or 2 hours earlier and you can pay to "upgrade", as in Ticketmaster will sanction it.... youre trading your current ticket + $$ = new better ticket
Or are the original tickets you bought "insurance" in case and then they'll g2 waste if you do find cheaper but better seats?
-
Sounds cool. Anybody know if any private lots will invite people out for a tailgate for the game? For either AFCCG or possibly, God willing, a Superb Owl Tailgate???
Itching for some Buffalo vibes but most of my friends family are gone from Buff. Seems like something thered be demand for???

Outcoached AGAIN
in The Stadium Wall
Posted
Josh had a great game against the nastiest version of Chiefs defense.
Diggs is off the books. Were fairly young. The OL is top 3 in the league, young, and have their contracts locked up.
It's time for a huge Beane swing, we need a superstar to help put us over. Go get Myles Garrett. Hammer the DL in the draft. Add to the WR room. We're not far away at all. Chiefs are going to absolutely push in the Eagles shizz. I liked our chances against that Eagles team too.
Mylea Garrett/max Crosby is where id start. We need a monster sized DT that can eat the run, and take on double teams. I kinda hate paying steady/solid guys, like top 12ish money. It's almost like a trap place to try and save cap money and sign too many mid level guys that kinda money.
Tl:dr Fiji water is delicious, but a liter is $5.50 as opposed to $1.99. Usually smart to buy the cheaper one here. If we're talking a Corvette vs. a Lamborghini: this isn't the place you want to "budget shop"
Or go land that scumbag Tyreek from Mcdaniels. We're a great team with above average coaching. But we need to beef up the DL aggressively.
