  1. True. Even better if your wife shoots dogs. But watch out, that kind of high-T woman will cheat on you with your boss's former campaign manager. Hey, I would cook for myself every now and then even if I could afford a personal chef. But that's just me, because it's fun to try new things. But 90% of my meals would have zero input from me because it really isn't that much fun.
  2. Schumer is dopey, but in a way NYC people relate to. He's also really smart, and not shy about letting you know that. 1600 perfect SATs, etc.
  3. His turn now to humiliate the guy who peaked in high school.
  4. Something makes me think Jesse Kelly (and, well, NCBills) wouldn't have benefited from those "advanced and gifted education" programs anyway. https://coaching.typepad.com/files/13-questions-for-jesse-kelly-that-must-be-answered-before-you-vote.pdf From back when Jesse was a political candidate in a Republican primary: As the co-founder of the Tucson Tea Party, I have had the great pleasure to meet and get to know many of my fellow Tea Partiers. I hope, in the course of the past year and a half, that you have come to trust what I have to say. And I hope you know that I would not say anything at all if I was not concerned for the direction of our country and our congressional district. The Tucson Tea Party does not make any endorsements, which has precluded me in the past from publicly asking questions or criticizing the candidates so that people may make up their own minds. However, given that I am no longer serving in that capacity, I cannot stay silent any longer. I have deep concerns about Jesse Kelly as a candidate for Congressional District 8 against Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. This is because there are many questions surrounding Jesse Kelly about his background and integrity that have either gone unanswered or the answer has been insufficient to allay these concerns. I am presenting these questions to you below with an explanation so that you can ask Jesse Kelly's campaign for yourself. If Jesse Kelly cannot answer these questions from the people who may vote for him, then he certainly won't be able to answer them when Gabrielle Giffords crushes him with them. 1) Why won't Jesse Kelly release his full military performance evaluation? Jesse Kelly says that he was a squad leader in the Marines, but his campaign has lied about releasing his full evaluation, and then only released his discharge papers. Brian Miller and Jonathan Paton have both released their full performance evaluations to the Pima County GOP, but Jesse Kelly either has not or will not. What is Jesse Kelly hiding? 2) Why won't Jesse Kelly release his high school transcripts? Jesse Kelly failed his classes and dropped out of college during his freshman year. Therefore, we know that he has a high school level education. Even back then, how well did he do in U.S. History and Government?
  5. Yes, in politics today that is true. See, e.g., the Biden wanders off from photo shoot in France thread.
  6. Chuck's dogs look pretty good. Needs a little more Buffalo char though. Grill lines shouldn't be so distinct.
  7. Maybe you can explain what a video clip of Obama, Clinton, and Bush 43 praising the tradition of a peaceful transition of power has to do with some plot to replace Biden four years later .... .... then again, we already know that you don't actually read/listen to the tweets you embed like it's a race to be first in breaking the news to a dozen Bills fans.
  8. Ooh, Trump got the endorsement of a former Mayor of Detroit! I wonder why. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/detroit-city/2021/01/20/trump-pardons-ex-detroit-mayor-kwame-kilpatrick/3955404001/
  9. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/06/14/cheapfake-biden-videos-enrapture-right-wing-media-deeply-mislead/ Yeah, yeah, here it comes ... The Washington Post, of course it's pro-Biden! But the article is spot on. It shows the full videos, then the edited versions sent out by the RNC to their army of tweeters, which are then picked up by the football forum bloggers at the bottom of the propaganda chain.
  10. Agreed. But which candidate are you talking about?
  11. I'm just pointing out that we are now far, far into what the Brits call the "silly season." I'm old enough to remember this "gotcha" moment: Look! Bush doesn't even know how a grocery store checkout scanner works!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermarket_scanner_moment#:~:text=The term derives from a,unfamiliar with daily American life. You guys are always worked up about not trusting the media. Well, maybe a bit of that is in order here ... There is no "substance" here. Old man Senator tries to use social media; fails.
  12. Look, some of the doddering, stumbling behavior is obvious. I'm not about to say that Biden is the picture of health. I believe there should be a constitutional amendment setting a maximum age for the presidency. If you need to be at least 35 to have the maturity to do the job, why don't you have to be under 70/75/80 to have the peak energy/acuity to do it? What I'm objecting to is obviously manipulated video to try to make him look utterly confused. We saw that with the "sitting in the phantom chair" video, with the "wanders off at France photo shoot," and now in the "has to be led offstage by Obama." These are stupid, and ideally shouldn't work on people with a modicum of intelligence who ought to know when someone's attempting to manipulate them.
  13. The idea here is "how hilarious, Schumer tries to act like a man of the people, reveals himself to be lifetime NYC apartment dweller who doesn't have a basic understanding of how the vast majority of Americans live." So, yeah, vote for Joe Biden, the Corvette driving, Amtrak riding man of the people, not Big Lord Fauntleroy, the guy who lives in hotels. I've never been one of those "I like him because he's just like us" voters. Manufactured bs. Let's see Trump with his little doggie poop bag in action.
  14. This is batshit nuts. We know exactly how and why it happened. A well-meaning but ultimately stupid mother decided her troubled autistic son would find the shooting sports a good way to bring some happiness. He shot her with the gun she bought him, then shot a bunch of kids at his school. Yeah. Those are the facts. You don't like them because somehow it doesn't fit your preferred narrative. There is absolutely no mystery here, no unknown facts, no unexplained gaps in the evidence. If you think there are, you just might be a conspiracy theorist.
  15. We should definitely see if Trump can drive a car, something that I suspect he last did when he was a teenager. We should also see how he does at the manly task of target shooting. We know he can perform, for a minute or two, the manly task of banging a hooker.
  16. Come on. Nothing unusual about this. Politicians stopping to wave/acknowledge some particular supporter in the crowd. Ex-Prez then puts hand on current Prez's shoulder as they walk off together. It was deceptive editing, much like that one where Biden "wanders off" in France when he's really trying to say something to the parachutist. Stupid official Republican Campaign clipped videos.
  17. Schumer is extremely intelligent. Like 2 SDs from the mean intelligent. He's lived in apartments/condos his entire life. He doesn't have a clue about working the grill.
  18. Can't get trichinosis from beef.
  19. PEI oysters on my breath and in my gut. Must wait before visiting Schumer house.
  20. Not kosher. Can't mix dairy and meat. Embarrassing. Could lose ultra-orthodox support. Must delete.
  21. ^ Another weak individual who couldn't resist the influence of charismatic leader Ray Epps. "Ray Epps made us do it"
  22. Not just some random religious leader. The guy who made the Southern Baptist Convention a conservative political force when he wasn't otherwise preoccupied with boys and young men. Groomer. “Paul Pressler will go down as the biggest hypocrite in Baptist history. He split the Southern Baptist Convention and decimated the ministries of countless seminary professors, denominational workers and pastors, all the while preying upon young men who believed his sanctimonious tripe,” said Marv Knox, former features editor for Baptist Press and later editor of the Texas Baptist Standard. “Thank God, Pressler lived long enough for the truth of his malevolence and debauchery to be known across the SBC and beyond.”
  23. I sure hope it's not any of those 4. Awful choices, like Kamala awful. Burgum? Whatever. Old school Republican. May be able to keep Trump a little bit more stable than otherwise.
  24. The GM/Management spot: Buddy Nix. He sounded dumb and well past his prime in his first media events. His decisions lived up to those impressions. The Old Days spot: Gary Marangi. For a long time he held the record for Worst Starting QB (minimum 4 starts) Ever. 0-7 record, 30.8 QB rating. The New School spot: Nathan Peterman, who arguably managed to surpass Marangi as Worst Starting QB Ever. 32.5 QB rating as a Bill. Then got one Game 17 start with the Bears to vault him well past Marangi on the career loserboard. (what are the chances that one franchise - the Bills - would have the 2 worst ever NFL QBs?) The Coaching spot: a close one. Oh, the names: Kay Stephenson (10-26). Hank Bullough (4-17). Chan Gailey (16-32). And the special Ruined a Team that Appeared Ready to Make the Playoffs Rex Ryan Award that goes to none other than ... Rex Ryan. But when I look back there's really one name that stands out. He was the coach when I first started paying attention to football as a kid. Harvey Johnson. 1-10-1 in 1968 (I don't remember that one), inexplicably brought back as HC in 1971 (that's the one I remember) when he led the Bills to a 1-13 record. (Why on earth did that season make me a lifelong Bills fan?) His wiki page includes this bit of trivia: "It was speculated that Johnson's love of thoroughbred horse racing, a passion he shared with owner Ralph Wilson, allowed him to stay on the Bills payroll despite his poor performance in coaching." Yeah, that must explain it. Not sure any other franchises can match Nix-Marangi-Peterman-Johnson.
  25. Addictive. At least to the weak. That came later. The way "Hamlin" handled that fake punt last year ... I'm not so sure anymore.
