  1. Another thread that I'd say didn't age well, but generally that comment is reserved for something that has been proved wrong over a significant passage of time. These threads - "Is Biden Dead" "Why Won't Obammy Endorse Harris" - don't even have time to age before they're revealed as idiotic.
  2. Interesting that you mention the Bible. Because the Bible doesn't expressly mention "abortion" (any word that would translate as such), but at least the Old Testament is pretty clear that causing a miscarriage isn't akin to murder. Even deliberately causing a woman to miscarry by striking her resulted in the perpetrator being fined. It was only when the pregnant woman herself was otherwise harmed that it was treated like a crime. Exodus 21, for example, suggests that a pregnant woman’s life is more valuable than the fetus’s. This text describes a scenario in which men who are fighting strike a pregnant woman and cause her to miscarry. A monetary fine is imposed if the woman suffers no other harm beyond the miscarriage. However, if the woman suffers additional harm, the perpetrator’s punishment is to suffer reciprocal harm, up to life for life. https://nevadacurrent.com/2022/07/20/what-the-bible-actually-says-about-abortion-may-surprise-you/#:~:text=Yet the Hebrew and Greek, simply is not directly mentioned.
  3. I don't know, but I understand a Philosopher named Burr will set me straight.
  4. Read the NYT! They analyze it, and reach a reasoned conclusion. I guess that's bad now. It is so much better to just tweet something like "Liberal Media Now Trying to Gaslight Us Into Believing Trump Wasn't Hit By A Bullet"
  5. Well, that's it then. Annoying Pats fan did a riff on it.
  6. Comey said the FBI still hadn't definitively resolved it. Yes IT DOESN'T MATTER. But people seem to care. And the NYT put in the investigative effort, unlike the so-called alt media.
  7. Note how some of my sources on Trump pre-date his political career.
  8. Better to stick with Cat Turd. This is why its karma that Couch F**cker will stick. It's kind of like the Cheese Touch in Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Once the story spreads you'll never live it down. America does now operate at a Middle School level.
  9. https://www.wsj.com/politics/elections/jd-vance-marine-military-service-foreign-policy-e536e4ac?mod=wknd_pos1 Another fair and balanced (!) bit of reporting by the MSM. Try getting this from Jack Poso or Dan Bongino. When Cheney made his unannounced visit a few days before Christmas, Vance was one among those who wanted to hear him speak, other Marines recalled. Some had hoped the mystery VIP visiting the war zone would be singer Jessica Simpson. Vance “was more excited than most Marines because he liked George W. Bush,” said Brad Avots, a retired major who was Vance’s commander. Cheney held a roundtable session with Marines, including Vance, Avots said. Several of the Marines voiced deep doubts about the progress of the war, according to press accounts. They had made remarkable gains in stabilizing Iraq, even if it wasn’t obvious, Cheney told them: “I think when we look back from 10 years hence, we’ll see that the year ’05 was in fact a watershed year here in Iraq,” he said, according to press reports. “We’re getting the job done.” Vance came to believe that was untrue during his Iraq tour, he said later. “Like thousands of young men at the time, Senator Vance enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps near the start of the Iraq war,” William Martin, a spokesman for Vance said in a statement. “He ultimately came to the same conclusion as millions of other Americans: that the war he served in was a massive mistake,” he said. “Too few leaders in Washington learned that lesson.” Cullen Tiernan, one of Vance’s closest friends in the unit, said they saw themselves as outsiders in the Marines. Bookish and skeptical, they identified with a fictional Marine in the 1987 movie “Full Metal Jacket,” a character known as “Joker,” Tiernan said. Pvt. Joker was also a combat correspondent, who went to Vietnam but viewed the war as a misguided tragedy.
  10. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/26/us/politics/trump-shooter-bullet-trajectory-ear.html Oh, wait, what source is that? Could it be the NY Times? Now ask yourself: would your right-wing Twitter monkeys EVER hit "post" on anything that is thought to be contrary to the Trump campaign's official word? Speculation Swirls About What Hit Trump. An Analysis Suggests It was a Bullet An absence of medical records or official accounts has stirred confusion, but a Times video and trajectory analysis indicates a bullet, not debris, wounded the former president.
  11. I can't remember. I read it when it was kind of a sensation, back when all the pundits thought it offered some insight into the Trump phenomenon. (And it did) As I've said, it is well-written, thoughtful, and a good read. I am hoping that the "real" JD Vance - the guy who might have some real policy proposals to deal with the socioeconomic collapse of the part of America he still loves - will reemerge at some point. Because his attempts at being a mini-Trump land with a thud, much like Ron DeSantis's did.
  12. Guess the Obamas called their bluff.
  13. In all seriousness (no edgy warning needed) - this National Review article makes a good point. Vance is a Bill Clinton type. Outside of policy (and his born-again Trumpism), what he'll be criticized for is that he comes off as more Hillary than Bill: stiff and awkward rather than slick and personable.
  14. Well, when you couch it in those terms, it could be enough to get him over the hump.
  15. Of course not. Just an observation (someone had called them incels), not a judgement.
  16. Well then (and I say this in the nicest possible way), you are a Couch F**ker.
  17. Guys who cosplay in an almost modern day Spartacus? Nothing gay about that. I stand corrected. EDIT: I will now be adding a CAUTION: EDGY CONTENT so as not to offend the former JDHilFan. (What did JD Hill do to deserve such disrespect?)
  18. Oh goodie. Fat acceptance came a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.
  19. Haha someone's having a full-blown DR style meltdown. Talk about living in your head. You even changed your name to something that was obsolete on the day you changed it. Here's an updated one: Kamala is Qualified!
  20. Perhaps wasn't shot in the ear. I mean, it did feel like a really big mosquito (as he told RFK Jr while attempt to buy his support with the promise of a big Cabinet appointment)
  21. Depends on what kind of couch. Filthy disgusting dorm room couch? Not good. Rich hand-tanned leather with strategically placed rivets? Who am I to judge? [edgy!]
  22. Except when you are not ignoring, but rather obsessing. Which is like 99.9% of the time. Reminder: clicking on "Ignore" is not the same thing as actually ignoring.
  23. Of course not. Hey, check this one out: a 2017 proposal on court reform from Federalist Society kingpin Stephen Calabresi, all hot and bothered about how Obama appointees had given the federal courts a Democratic tilt. https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2017/12/the-trump-court-packing-plan-is-based-on-a-fiction.html
