  1. Can't answer for anyone else, but I'm not with you. The best punter (still) the game has seen deserves to be enshrined IMO.

Meanwhile, back on topic...I do think that Tasker has a shot. Nobody from the dark days. Possibilities Gilmore (Bill"s head explodes), Mario, Poz?

I'm with ya on everything but Poz, Tasker deserves it like Ray Guy, changed the way kick coverage was played and viewed. He turned into a special teams weapon in which teams had to game plan for. If nothing happens to Sammy he seems like he could easily make it.
  2. @TobyMotyka: Three straight red zone Tds for EJ, two to Bobby woods. This becoming a strength for offense over last few practices

@ChrisBrownBills: EJ seeing more of the field of late. Spotted Woods in back of end zone late in the play and delivered ball. #Bills

@buffalobills: EJ throwing darts to CJ for TDs. #bullseye

@buffalobills: #Bills working starters vs. starters in the redzone in their final tuneup before facing the @Giants. #IronSharpensIron

The two statements in bold are good to hear and will be huge this year if they continue.
  3. @ProFootballTalk: Andre Reed apologizes to Jon Bon Jovi, except not really http://t.co/eNtrRxE5kF

Ripped into him earlier in the thread, but have to admit I saw the special on the NFL Network and it brought me instantly back to my childhood. My words were a bit harsh, man it was good seeing that footage, great memories. Good to hear the comments about the region and fans at the end of the article.
  4. I'm way late to the show. I suffer from a very painful condition called cluster headaches in which for 3 months 2 times a year I get 2-8 one hour headaches in which it leaves you 100% incapacitated. I've had 7 surgeries in my life, each shoulder has been cut down to the bone, and the headaches are so painful it hurts way more than all seven surgeries put together. Most come at night depriving you of sleep. So my first cycle come early Feb. thru middle of May. In April I was my biggest 267, and knowing my second cluster cycle would be just a few months away I knew I had to hurry. I started biking either 13 or 23 miles 4-5 times a week and lifting 2-4 times a week. As on Thursday July 31 I was down to 233 a loss of 34 pounds in three and a half months. My goal at the start of the year, knowing about my headaches, was 30 pounds and I didn't think I had a chance with losing that much and only having 6 months out of the year to workout. My new goal is now 50 pounds, which would bring me down to 217.I'll keep you posted.

  5. So LOVEMESOME BILLS gets to decide how much money is enough for Andre. :worthy: Very self-righteous and silly

Did I say I get to decide how much money Andre makes? Show me where I said anything close to that. So MOVALLEYRANDY gets to decide what LOVEMESOMEBILLS says. :worthy:
  6. i was thinking about this today as well. from what the reports say he looked really good after the rain cleared. it made me wonder if it gave him a chance to settle down and relax a little.

one thing i think we can all agree on about EJ is that he really wants to be great. you can tell that he takes his job seriously. maybe some of his early camp struggles are coming from pressing a bit. i think that will certainly get better with time.

maybe he can get some of that synthetic weed from dareus.

If i remember right he seemed to do better after halftime last year also. as far as wanting to be great, there's no doubt he wants to be great and turn this team around. We shouldn't forget he's playing against a very good defense.
  7. That's a sweet over the shoulder drop with good coverage and the CB seeing the ball. Nice.

JoeB has good things to say about EJ today. Really like to hear this.

"Once the Bills got back on the field following the rain delay Wednesday, EJ Manuel looked quite relaxed all throughout the remainder of practice. His work during team drills stood out, hitting all his receivers in stride and helping them continue to move the ball down the field. The passes were crisp and decisive just like his diagnostic skills for each passing play he participated in. Manuel only overthrew his targets a pair of times in the second half of practice — with one of them quite possibly being on purpose to a completely covered up wide receiver — making his performance a good one in the scope of what has been seen so far from the young player. It's a definite step in the right direction as far as practice is concerned."

Nice to see and hear good things about EJ. Is it me or does he seem to take a while to get going ? Too amped up maybe ?
  8. Manuel throws pick on 2nd play of 11v11. Couldn't ask for a better start from our starting qb. At least he's consistant!!

thought about making it a 3rd time but that would probably have been overkill. I think my point was made. LOL. I'm really just busting his chops. I hope like crazy that he succeeds and has a monster season, but for every step he takes forward, he has this unsettling knack of taking two steps back.

Well at least you're consistent. :wallbash:
  9. The NFL has said they are going cracking down on defensive holding and interference. Two things will be interesting to see 1. Will the NFL stick with it or call a ton early in the year then relax 2. How this will effect the top notch DBs, Revis, Sherman, Peterson ect.. Gilmore has the talent to be a top DB but, IMO is not put a season together that would justify that label.

  10. Supporting ones family does not require me to take this job nor does it for Andre. Hate to say it, but he has plenty of money for his family, if you don't think so your just plain foolish. I've made FAR less money and have far less money then him and I wouldn't do it. I don't need a lot, and generally give most of my money to people I know who are struggling , help out friends, or the Mrs. I hardly ever spend it on myself.

  11. This is what is wrong with the country? Funny stuff.

Management shows no loyalty to players or fans. Players show no loyalty to management or fans. Fans show loyalty to jerseys only. Fans are the worst. They talk of loyalty, but if given a chance to make the big bucks, they would all jump for it.

People looking for loyalty in sports or business don't understand how things work.

Saying that any of this is what is wrong with America is missing the real issues that are wrong with America.

While I respect your opinion I disagree. This is at the very heart of whats wrong with this country, greed. I would also like to say, if this was a current or newly retired Bill I would have expected it. I just didn't think a comment like that would come from Andre. I wouldn't just jump at the money, my conscious would eat me alive, but that's just me.
