  1. I learned that there are but two types of people in the world, the humble and the soon to be humbled.
  2. To me, he and Curly Neal, were the Globetrotters. R.I.P.
  3. Not that I feel the need to defend my integrity, but the smile on the kid's face really made my Christmas. I also gave my Jets tickets to a single dad to take his teen.
  4. I gave my seats away so a single mom could take her 14 year-old son to his first Bills game. For that reason, and that alone, I find joy in this win.
  5. If the Oilers win it again there should be rioting in the streets.
  6. Imagine if the Sabres win the draft lottery and add Auston Matthews to their young nucleus.
  7. While I agree that scoring being down league-wide is a drag and that the arena needs more to engage fans, the reason attendance is down is completely contained in these four words from the piece, "the falling Canadian dollar." Canadians make up about 40% of a typical Sabres crowd. I work in Canada and know many Canadian Sabres season ticket holders. Most of them aren't Sabres fans, they have the tickets because they are NHL fans. When their dollar was par with ours they went to most games ( and sold the Leafs games for a big profit to offset their season ticket costs). Now, the Canadian dollar is worth about .65 compared to the USD. Once the Canadian dollar rebounds in a couple of years, combined with the maturity of the Sabres' young guns, it will be near impossible to spot an empty seat at a game.
  8. Merry Christmas, Westside. I hope the memories of your wife warm your heart and I wish you new love and happiness in the New Year.
  9. Man the onions got to my eyes while reading that story. "PS- Please don't forget the poor." What a line from such a young girl. Merry Christmas Eve to you all at TBD. Even though I've only met a few in person, you're all like family to me.
  10. I'm very thankful that I had a childhood before technology took over. http://www.engadget.com/2015/12/20/first-website-is-25-years-old/
  11. Talk about taking an art form to a new level. Genius.
  12. Even carried on in two different continents. http://www.ijreview.com/2015/12/496615-teacher-arrested-for-having-sex-with-teenaged-students-where-it-happened-is-even-more-sickening/?author=db&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=owned&utm_campaign=education&utm_term=ijamerica&utm_content=education
  13. The wife and I always end Christmas Eve by watching, "It's a Wonderful Life." Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed get me misty-eyed every time.
  14. Howard's interviews are the true MVP. This past year he had so many compelling sit-downs. He has become America's best interviewer and many A-listers now consider his show the place to go to conduct the interview that will define their career.
  15. Like your thoughts, especially about letting continuity have an opportunity to play out in Buffalo. I would keep Woods though. I think he makes a great #3 receiver.
  16. For comparison purposes here is a pic of a 5-megabyte hard drive shipped by IBM in 1956.
  17. For Pooj I would get a "2016 To Catch a Predator - Teacher Edition Calendar."
  18. Here's the video of him singing. Reminds me of the American Idol additions when someone comes out thinking they can sing and then hit a bunch of notes that get the neighborhood dogs howling. http://fansided.com/2015/11/28/tyson-fury-sings-aerosmith-world-title-win-klitschko-video/
  19. Very powerful open letter from Scott's ex-wife: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/scott-weiland-s-family-dont-glorify-this-tragedy-20151207
  20. Talk about taking a bite out of crime. Bravo.
  21. I thought this thread was going to be about this:
  22. I see I'm not the only one that hates the, "Yikeichel, Jack Eichel," call by RJ. I still like ". Eich, Eich Baby." http://www.diebytheblade.com/2015/11/30/9817732/an-open-letter-to-rick-jeanneret
  23. I've got a good vibe about today, the last 14 years be damned. You want in the playoffs, Buffalo. Go beat Alex Smith, not exactly having to beat Brady, Manning or Montana in their prime. Carpe Diem.
  24. First chance I got to fully watch a game this year. Silent G played great, Cooney looked far more in control than he did last year and I really like Lydon - he looks very polished for a freshman. Also, great to have Coleman back on the glass. Can't believe this team was picked to be a last place squad. They should crack the Top 25 after the last two wins, no?
