A clear cut Stud TE still needed?
SJ Bills backer replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice call, Astro. I particularly like some of those qualifying adjectives! If Mel Kiper ever needs a replacement, we know where to find one!!! -
I'm as amazed as many about how they've put together this win streak, much less scoring as they have in the last 3 against St Louis, Seattle, and Miami. None of these 3 teams are among the league's elite, and two of them, Miami and Seattle, had fairly good defenses. I'd love to see this team knock off some more highly touted team, dare I ask for anything better than a victory over the Jets. For the past few years, NE, in my mind the best team in the league, has owned us for quite some time. And if you want to be the best - I better halt this line of reasoning here before it get ICE-like. Let me reiterate that the streak is really nice and I'd love to see them keep on winning. Very few here were thinking about playoffs even being a possibility, even as recently as 3 weeks ago. And its nice to see this team get some well deserved respect after the way their season started.

Fat Pat (Miami Herald story)
SJ Bills backer replied to Cash2Burn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can just feel Dan LeBastard's pain - bwahahahaha! Suffer you fin-loving fool! Its sobering to think how close this game was despite all the turnovers. And while Miami is NOT very good, there's always solace to be found in sweeping the hated fish and stomping on them when they're down. -
True - but it shows you in an indirect sort of way how far we've fallen when most of us realize that THIS year's Bills O doesn't hold a candle to the ones of the early 90's. That being said, nice victory guys and way to put up some pts. Nice to finally be even after the first 4 weeks of hell.

Another take on Bledsoe/ offensive efficiency
SJ Bills backer replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wow - you mean to tell me that despite our win streak, new found offensive production, and the re-animation of the mummy called Drew that we're STILL ranked near the bottom of the league in O? Yeh, I know - its a team game. Still, its hard to defend Bledsoe's production given these numbers. Thanks for this new slant on an old problem -
Yep, Suzy said it last night...
SJ Bills backer replied to Greg de'Ville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with Campy here. Suzie, while not LA 10 material, is very attractive in her own way even with short hair. And as Campy said, the fact that she is a REAL announcer who's earned an appropriate degree AND knows her facts AND is a good interviewer makes her that much more attractive to me than some of the bland air-headed bimbos you will see on MNF tonight. -

you forgot "now watch what he does" -
Wow - and I thought I was being harsh on Bledsoe. Rico - you seem to fall into the Buffalo 66 school of thought as your expectations are sky-high. For those supporting Drew, yes - great game and great TEAM win. Nice to see Drew doing his part. But keep in mind Drew's poor record and stats over the past 2 years and realize that for the Billsto take it to the "next level", Drew's performance, decision making, leadership, completions, etc need to seriously improve

Whau! And I wonder what that game in 1990 was???? Can someone answer for the big bonus?
-
no, and I think its a littttttle bit of a stretch..... what were we playing for again? a playoff spot?
-
God I'm so !@#$ing sick of Bledsoe's
SJ Bills backer replied to VabeachBledsoefan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lots of neutral replies, no major kudos.... remember when the Ravens won a SB despite their QB? Would you want the Bills to be remembered that way? (but hey, what a D in either case!) -
WOW! I really had to say it was a stretch thinking the Bills could come to the west coast and dominate a game like this. Sad to think what might have been with a couple different game ending sequences earlier in the year. But the truth is the Bills simply aren't quite ready for prime time. Their D is, their special teams are, but the coaching and the running game and the O line have taken time to come around from the paralysis they seemed to be in. Other than the obvious, i.e., Drew, what other flaws must the Bills address to take it to the next level next season?

Official Bledsoe Turnover/Sack Thread
SJ Bills backer replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no one player is above criticism, and despite the win, the team cannot continue to improve with Blew, er I mean Drew, continuing to make rookie mistakes... otherwise, great win for the TEAM! -

After reading your posts on PPP, this explains a lot! -
Went to more than a few dead shows out west. Funny thing about THC, I never once saw a fight at these concerts. But people fight over issues that are even less cosmologically significant than football.

Anyone in Ohio wanna send me some beer
SJ Bills backer replied to VABills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about some Hudepol from Cincinnati (aka Ohio river pisswater) -
But the Bills record for west coast games SUCKS! Aren't they like 2-4 in their last 6 out here? And didn't Seattle hand us one of the biggest ASS kickings in Bills history?

Well, I can't offer to buy you a beer, but can give you some virtual stuff, and I will raise a toast to you and all Bills fans tomorrow. Happy T-day! CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE BEER DRINKER ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel shamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver." ~ Jack Handy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day. " ~Frank Sinatra ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with his fools." ~ Ernest Hemingway ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading." ~ Henny Youngman ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not." ~ Stephen Wright ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. Sooooo, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!" ~ Brian O'Rourke ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." ~ Benjamin Franklin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza." ~ Dave Barry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BEER: HELPING UGLY PEOPLE HAVE SEX SINCE 3000 B.C.!!! ~ "Unknown" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Remember "I"! before "E", except in Budweiser. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To some it's a six-pack, to me it's a Support Group. Salvation in a can! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And saving the best for last, as explained by Cliff Clavin, of Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm. Here's how it went: "Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. ! That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers." -
Man, some SERIOUS anger against the division leader here. I've always admired the Patriots as a team and an organization. Bellichick is perhaps THE best coach in the league, and if you listened the MNF you heard the announcers lips soundly smacking the collective patriot ass, but rightly so. As for their D and dirty play, many more teams such as Denver have stronger cases against them for such play. Their D simply finds ways to win each week, and over the past 2 seasons they gave compiled the BEST record in the league, mostly becuase some different defensive player comes up with big plays each wek, Brady makes good decisions, and the coaching always has the other team guessing. I don't care if you hate the Patriots, but this post is a little weak.
