  1. 1.  We are set at QB.  Stop calling him franchise this or whatever.  He's Josh friggin Allen and this is his team.  Put your ego's aside for those who hated the pick so much (WGR) they have to preface any credit with crap like "yea I'd like the throw to be this....or I'd like him to stay in the pocket blah blah."  My DC Redskins fans down here consider him one of the more fun players to watch.  Massive arm.  Takes tons of shots down field.  Can run like crazy.  Only Baker had a better rookie year.  And that is just fine.

    2.  Zay Jones/Robert Foster.  I like them a lot as WR 2/3.

    3.  Need a new oline coach and a scheme that fully utilizes Josh more RPOs maybe.

    4.  Need a new oline and it starts at Center.  Get a vet RT and Center; Teller and Miller with Bodine is good depth.  Instant improvement.

    5.  Add DTs.  Still getting gashed.

This is the most optimistic I've been about this team's future since the 90s.

WR (3): JuJu, Cooper, Samuel, Foster, Jones

    TE: Ebron, Njouku

    DE: Rams, Jax

    K: Tucker

    IDP: others

    (IR) Conner, Green, Sanders

    Other: Hunt

    Wilson

    Chubb Cook flex Conner

    JuJu Cooper

    Njoku

    Rams

    Tucker

  3. Eye test tells me he's got the it factor.

    That he's developing nicely.

That he's a lot like Philip Rivers in intensity and has the running capability of Cam when he was peak running Cam.

That his arm is the best I've ever seen.

AND, he has the worst offensive line, supporting cast in the league.

How did Rosen do at home vs Detroit with David Johnson and Larry Fitz?

The "Anybody but Allen" fans need to understand.....we want you on board.  It's ok you wanted Darnold or Rosen or maybe Jackson.  Get over it it's ok.  We do not care.

The sports clowns on local radio?  They think they're right about everything.  And to be so wrong on this is eating at them its comical.  I guess you should have been prepared for the possibility they could pick Allen.

Here in DC area, the fans I talk to are calling him legit.  They're envious.  My Redskins fan buddy says flat out Allen is one of the most fun players to watch.  Stop watching like he should be perfect.  If he were playing at a 60 percent completion clip with 250 yards a game I think you could argue we definitely would have a HOF on our hands.  It's ok that he's not.  We have our QB.  Hearing him interviewed yesterday sealed it for me.  It was so dam refreshing he sounded exactly like Rivers.

I dont think everyone realizes what could be happening here.  Hopefully.  What's sad is the Never Allens in the media continue with the passive aggressive digs and dont want to enjoy it.  They want to be right!!  Clowns.

Am so ready for FA and the draft so we can finally stock up around JA.

I just feel like we're getting the best of both worlds right now.  Playoffs were not realistic this year....but what did we all agree we had to see..

Real progress and promise with Allen---and also now with Zay and Foster.  Bonus.

And we're absolutely going to have a top 7 pick.

I'm excited about this team for 2019.  Division will be up for grabs bc the Patriots are just about done.

    1.  Draft BPA 1st round trade down trade up idc

    2.  Draft/sign oline

    3.  Bring in more depth on dline

    4.  Keep a good mentor QB for Josh

    5.  Fire Crossman

  5. Tomlin

    BB

Rivera (all he does is win)

Lewis (several playoff trips with Andy Dalton)

    Pete Carroll

    Dan Quinn

They all had good OCs to develop the QB or inherited good QBs.

3 of these guys have won Super Bowls.

And the list of "new hotness" we'd all love:

    McVay

    Shannahan

    Nagy?

I'm not going to include Payton bc hes not new and he might have thr best QB and GM in football.  And with that QB...one of the best ever, they had hardly made the playoffs until last year since that 2010 SB.

But anyway, it's not a long list.  I'm not arguing an offensive guy as HC isnt preferable.  Its just not as simple as "just get one."  They are just as likely to bust.

Get the QB settled.  And surround with good offensive coaches----those guys are out there.  I fear some HCs that are defensive minded might be a little threatened by them.  I don't know what McD has here with Dabol.

  6. Pat Schurmer (who replaced a 'brilliant' OC)

    Adam Gase

Doug Pederson (great year 1; not good right now)

    Dirk Koetter

Kyle Shanahan (looks like QB is more important than HC?)

    Jay Gruden

    Jason Garrett

    McCarthy

Nagy---dont be fooled; they're where they are bc of that D.  It's a good O.  But really how good?

That's 8 very men coaches---plus Pederson but he has been brutal this season.  And yes McCarthy is meh.

The elite OCs are going to go where there is the most talent.  So it's too easy to say "get the O minded guy for HC."   They flop too.

You don't have to have an offensive minded HC (they're more likely to flop as much as the DCs) but you absolutely better have a good OC and staff.  If you have the elite QB ready it shouldn't matter.  I'm pretty sure the Packers will be open to a D minded coach.

Mike Schopp and the Bulldog right now on the post-game show are discussing the allegations that McDermott favors faith-based players and this could be a factor in keeping Peterman on the roster.

Schopp just said that he doesn't know one way or the other if there is any truth to this line of thinking, but that it is a good question for McDermott.

He basically indicated that he will be asking him about this on his show tomorrow.  That could be entertaining, interesting, and it makes the segment worth listening to.

Stay tuned to this space for more.

And I look forward to one of the potentially greatest responses in history.

Sean...I hope someone tips you off to this lunacy.

And absolutely obliterate that smug self serving arrogant pos.

So there's no room for a discussion about McDermott's faith as the HC and how that might play into his managerial style according to you?

Do you really think Mike Schopp is going to phrase a question so that a truthful answer would must indict McDermott?

There's no room for discussion here?

    Come on, man.

I am quite sure McD has a huge ego and further, is probably the type of guy who thinks there is 1 right way to do everything, and that's his way.  And in that sense, you aren't going to persuade him to see something from a new perspective.  There are zillions of people like that in the world.

That doesn't mean his faith doesn't creep into his coaching of the team or his stance on Peterman.  Whether it is a function of his conscious or subconscious mind, I'm sure he "clicks" with players of a similar faith-based world view.

It was Bulldog, actually, who reminded me the other day that Pegula introduced/referenced McDermott as a "faith based leader" when he joined the organization.

The relevant question here is this:  does Mcdermott value religious faith or a Judeo-Christian code of morality above athletic talent in making player evaluations and roster formulation?

If he does, the fans deserve to know.

    You clearly have no clue.

Do you know how important faith is to the vast majority of these players?

This whole thread is ignorant, bigoted, and insulting.

  8. DBs.  And White is one if the 3 best corners in the league

    I believe our D is a top 5 D.

Everything that happened today and that is going to happen can't be taken as an indictment on the players because in the back of their mind they know it's over.  It ended the second we found out Allen's injury.  They played like it today.  Deflated.  They'll have some moments, maybe win a game or 2.  Tops.  It's over.

We're on our FOURTH starting QB since Aug 1.  And he's been sitting on a couch.  We're nowhere near good enough on O to mask that.
