Gabe Davis, for some reason a captain on this team, refused to take questions from the media after the game. Tells you all you need to know about this team on so many levels.

I don't care how hard they work or how many hours they put in. This is the DUMBEST coaching staff we have ever had. They just do the most idiotic things in the biggest moments and they are actively killing this fairly talented team. Every week they do things to hold this team back. If you are going to bench a player for fumbling, then I want the coaches barred from the building for the stupid crap they do week in and week out that have now cost us probably 3-4 games this season. I hate calling people dumb, but when it comes to the basics of football, THIS IS A DUMB COACHING STAFF.

If the players can be benched for stupid things, I want McDermott benched for that atrocity.

Almost a fitting way for the season for all intents and purposes to end....

Right down the field as easy as could be. It happens every single time.

And just like that, they are just a few yards away from FG range on 1 play.

I want to be excited......I really do. But I have seen this movie too many times and the ending never seems to change.

They seriously ran the same exact play there..... I really thought as soon as Davis motioned into the same spot, they were setting the defense up for something the other way. Guess I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up for any creativity there.

There have been issues tonight, but this offense struggles enough on it's own, let alone when Cook is not on the field. The only times we have moved the ball tonight is when he's been on the field. Sometimes you just have to eat the bad stuff and hope it doesn't happen again, but you have to have your play makers on the field.

I mean, who needs a dynamic athlete on the field anyway. Just bench him.

Thank God their punter has been bad so far.

Torrance got a holding penalty. Gabe dropped a ball right in his hands that turned into an INT and took points off the board. Brown has been beaten like a drum on multiple reps so far. Murray drops an easy one. Etc....etc..... Yet apparently Cook fumbling, after making a pretty solid play overall, is the only mistake worth benching a player for. That is not sending the right message to the team and shows no accountability on the coach for singling out a player. It's not right.

Cook still benched yet Davis is right back out there. That doesn't send the right message, coach.

Get Davis off the field. He's awful. If Cook sits because of his error, Davis deserves the same treatment.

Ugh.....Cook not on the field. Come on. Everyone screws up once in a while. Instead of letting him stew over it, put him out there and give him the ball and let him get over it.

Well, look at the bright side.... The last time Cook fumbled on his first touch, we blew out the Super Bowl champs.

Take the ball they said...... There are more bad results than good results by not deferring. Taking the ball in the 2nd half has way more benefits.

Jets haven't scored a TD in forever, but bracing for them to get at least 3 against us next week because, well, we can't seem to beat this crappy offense with Wilson at QB. So infuriating that we already lost to them once and we know that there is no way we just win a comfortable game against anyone, let alone this Jets defense for whatever reason. But alas, that's for next week. We still have to find a win tomorrow night.

They are doing so many dumb things in this game it made me wonder the same thing. Where was this crap last week? I will say, Houston has a better game plan than we did for sure, specifically on defense. Not blitzing a ton and dropping into coverage which is what I thought we were going to do heading into last week. Instead McDermott comes out blitzing like a maniac giving their WRs so much more room to get open. Our game plan was backward.

Dorsey literally has 2 running concepts, dart and duo. Don't ask him to get creative in the running game. It just isn't there.

That's not exactly what I meant.....of course there are positives we can take out of the game in a vacuum. Our season would still be alive. But I guess what I really wanted to say is I'm not sure how much a win changes our overall feelings about the team. Say we win......it will feel good. Heck, even if we win comfortably, it might help the morale a bit. But in the end, no matter what happens in the game, the same questions will be starring us in the face next week. We have struggled so much against the Jets. Even if we put up 50 this week, how confident are any of us going to be that we can put even 24+ against the Jets the next week? That's all I'm saying. Of course I want to win and I want us to look great doing it. But even if we do, there is nothing that can happen in this game that I will take into next week in my evaluation of how the Jets game or the Eagles game is going to go. Until this team puts a stretch of great games together offensively, and this coaching staff shows they have a little common sense, I am not sure how confident we can be no matter how this particular game goes. I just don't think a win against an average to below average Broncos team changes the overall thoughts on the weaknesses and the questions this team has going forward.
