Out of the experienced NFL head coaches on the market, I would want Sherman the most.

USC coach won't leave Hawkeyes early to play in NFL.
What a whacky sub-title that is - USC?

He usually announces every year that he has no interest in the NFL and wants to stay in Heaven (no, it's Iowa) forever. I heard that he hasn't done that this year, but a friend of mine told me he did it again...........Could he be a candidate?

Please let this happen!!!!!!!

"you don't sink mega-millions into aging stars -- a lesson the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers learned the hard way in the 1990s"
Yeah, those 4 out of 10 Super Bowls were a tough lesson to learn.

Seriously, we have never been compensated for Will Wilford, even though they kept saying that was coming for years.
-
Have we been compensated yet for Will Wilford?

I say the same thing every year - everybody gets all excited because teams look good in the wild card round, and then those teams get pounded the next week!
I think it's about 80% teams with the bye win since this format has been in place.

One of the Sport Reporters today echoed Vic's thoughts on Marv's. I didn't catch this guy's name - I never saw him on there before, but I"m pretty sure he was never a Bills beat reporter.

Thanks - great article! That game really was like "where were you when JFK got shot?" around here.
-
Thanks, Lori. That is interesting info and a very good article. Chuck Pollack takes a lot of heat on the Bonnies board I frequent, and I really haven't read the OTH much since I graduated there, but he seems like a very good writer in that article. Thanks again - you really cleared up a lot of questions I've had.

I guess I am out of the loop as to what happened between Donahoe and GR. At the beginning he was at the Rome tour stop. He would do interviews with them. When he put his foot in his mouth with the "ashamed to be a part of the community" thing at the Williams firing presser, he called Brad Riter.
So, what happened in the last two years that made GR this non-stop spewing of venom towards him?

That's so funny.........I was thinking the same thing.
I'm like OK who is doing what? Ralph is Prez again and is going to be breaking down college game film............Marv is a first time GM at 80.........The coach who mishandled just about the whole team is back, but now has fired just about all his assistants...........The Assistant GM is still the Assistant GM, but is somehow promoted or something.
Who's on first?
-
Unfortunately, I think most of that article is quite accurate

The thing is Schoop proclaims on Sports Extra that the fans of Buffalo hate this team. They are always claiming that they speak for the fans........The anti-fan is right.

I've been really mad at these guys for their anti-Bills agenda all year, but this time I have to agree with them.
They really wanted Mularkey gone yesterday, and were ready to spin that as a positive, and then they were let down, just like I was, with the second news conference.
Bringing in Marv to head up these idiots - well, I don't have much good to say about it either.
Is there any talented player that Mularkey hasn't had major issues with? Maybe Lee Evans and McGee, but that'll probably be next year's issues.

LOL - Funny stuff!

I won't give up my seasons - i've had them too long, but I am not going to be excited about them
i don't think ralph really knows what the public is thinking.........he didn't even know about security taking away signs, etc. until some monday morning when he happened to pick the sports page he said
if i thought there was some way of reaching him, i would have sent a letter or email.......i did that with john butler and he called me back to talk football with me for half an hour

Weren't they number one and two since the very first poll of the season? I would think that that is unprecendented to have that happen, and then play each other for the championship, but I haven't heard mention of that. Does anybody know if it is?
-
Ralph just announced that MM is definitely back.

Champ Bailey = Leon Lett

He pulled up at the five. Never saw Watson coming. I'd love to see film of Watson on that whole play. He must have been hauling a** the whole way because he wasn't even near Bailey at the beginning, and then comes out of nowhere...........That should have been Pats ball. But, you coudn't overturn it.
