I sure hope he isn't gone after this year. I think a Moulds-Evans combo can be the leagues best for the next few years. Now they we don't miss Price anymore, I don't want to go thru the whole thing again looking for Moulds replacement. With his talent, there really is no viable replacement.

What I like is that maybe now Indy has a chance of catching the Pats for the 2 seed. That gives them reason to play hard against Denver in two weeks.
-
I'm sure this has been discussed, but I'm thinking that it helps us if the Pats lose. Not only would the Steelers have the #1 seed wrapped up if they win next week, but it also depending on the tiebreakers, give the Colts a reason to play hard in the last week to grab that #2 seed. I know they play somebody that we need to lose that last week - must be the Broncos.

I'm a Republican and didn't find it funny because it's not. Now The Onion - that's liberal and funny! If you didn't want politics in this, why is it all potshots at Republicans on this one, why not something that takes shots at everybody?

Am I the only one who was really impressed with Henry as a pure runner. I thought as I pure runner he was better than Thurman. He was lousy at everything else, especially picking up blitzes, and this year he was just horrible, period. Slipping all over. But, 2 years ago, I never saw anybody break so many tackles, since Earl Campbell. Last year, the last 10 games, he was almost as impressive.

I asked this on another thread - is he the best rookie receiver we have ever had? I think so (although somebody reminded me about Perry Tuttle, so maybe Lee is only 2nd best!)
-
I think Evans is the best rookie receiver we have ever had. Does anybody agree?

Aren't you talking about Bob DiCesare's article - not Mark Gaughan?

That is awesome news!!!

What I wanted to see happen was us trading up to get more of a premeir defensive end. The Eagles traded, I believe, a worse 2nd rounder (3rd?), to move up to 15 to get McDougle. I'm not really sure how he's doing, so maybe he wouldn't have been worth it in hindsight. But, I really thought that was the move to do that draft. Possibly, even trade up enough to get Suggs.

The worst weather in my 19 years of seasons was the New England game about 4-5 years ago. They predicted it to be a mild day. It turned out to be much like yesterday and a lot colder. None of us were prepared and it was the only game I ever left because of the weather. At least those '93 Jet and Raider games, you had time to prepare.

What has held up for 70 years?

I'm with you, BillNut. I thought the same thing when I read that. When we went up 17-10, did I think there was no doubt that Patriots were going to win? Absolutely not!

I agree with Slothrop. The morning show is unlistenable. Silvester used to be OK before he moved to Charlotte. I'm not really sure how he is now because I can't listen to more then 5 minutes of that show, and it seems like the other two drag him down..........Schoop and Bulldog are pretty good.............And, Brad and Jeremy are the best. Too bad they don't get much airtime. They are knowledgable and very funny!!

I was just reading the lead article in today's preview about whether 2 running backs can co-exist in the same backfield. It listed some failures, and it had a chart, etc. listing the best tandoms. I don't understand why a Buffalo paper would neglect to mention the tandom with the best two rushing years in history. I thought this was true, and I just found this from Dr. Z a few weeks ago:
O.J. Simpson and Jim Braxton, the big, blocking fullback who was also a devastating runner on the quickies inside. In 1975 the twosome rushed for 2,649 yards (1,817 for O.J., 823 for Braxton), in 1973 the number was 2497 (O.J.'s record year of 2004 yards, plus Braxton's 494). Those two rank Nos. 1 and 2 all time.
It's strange to me that they would be omitted.

I started a thread last month about Robin Bakay's article in First Sunday of The News and her mentioning being in Playboy. Most of you probably remember it (but it must have been a victim of the server change, because I can't find it now).
Anyway, in First Sunday's this past weekend's responses to that article, it said "Robin received many email, even recognition on twobillsdrive, etc." I had said on that thread that I know you're reading this Robin, and I think I was right!!

Question for you people in Orlando: When I went to Disney last year, the airport limo/shuttle driver was very informative, and he said the reason that Disney chose Orlando was that they have never been hit by a hurricane.
With Charlie and Frances, did Orlando actually get hit by a hurricane or just it's aftermath?

Beerball - my first couple of years, I tried that type of strategy. Last year, I just wanted to survive one week at a time, and picked what I thought was the surest best - I ended up winning the pool - over $700 for the $10 I put in!!
