Did they actually charge for the tickets or were they given away free?

I always thought we should have stuck with the hot hand - Frank. He played so good in that Pittsburgh game, which most people don't remember because of the Houston game.
-
Yeah, I really liked that Promised Land version he did. My favorite song of the concert, though, was Does this Bus Stop at 82nd Street. I've seen him 14 times and have never heard him play that one. Loved it when everybody sang "Man, the dope's that there's still hope!!"

Springsteen is the greatest living American Rock Star............And, whoever above was giving him respect for putting on a long show, should also realize that when I started going to concerts in '77 and I saw a ton of them in the late 70s. You could expect to see a band for 90 minutes and that was it..............Bruce changed the whole landscape in my opinion - giving the people their money's worth.............When I saw the Stones in '78 they played for about 90 minutes with no encores. Last time I saw them, I bet they played 2 and a half to three hours, with encores, etc. You can thank Bruce for proving it all night.
My only real complaint about the concert the other night was his rendition of Reason To Believe. That is my favorite song off Nebraska, and it was absolutely unrecognizable, and probably the worst song I've ever heard anybody do in concert.

There are two radio commercials that I keep hearing on GR that are really bugging me.
One is for some sort of finance company that will give you a lump sum of money for your annuity if you have had some sort of legal settlement. I find that woman so grating who says stuff like "after all, it is my money." And, the first one they had made no sense at all.
The second one is for that lawyer who specializes in representing deadbeats. The way he talks and what he's selling just annoys the heck out of me.

I once saw a story about Thurman Thomas labeled off topic. If Thurm is not Bills-related, I don't know what is.
Does anybody holding out or threatening to hold out not have Drew as his agent?
-
Well, I guess I won't be one of these people, because I didn't even know he was with the Bucs last year!! When I heard he was signing a one day contract with the Raiders, I thought "Why would he have to do that. Didn't he play for them last year?"
-
Didn't we have a WR named Famil Johnson or am I making that up?
-
Fourth time in 6 years - 99, 02, Darien in 03 and now.........and once in Rochester in 03.
It was the Ralph that he didn't sell out, not the Arena, forcing the move to Darien Lake.
The Rising album wasn't relevant??? Are you kidding me????

Does anyone know what the schedules are for when the discount carriers release blocks of flights? Calling them up, gets you nowhere. They just tell you to keep checking back. The problem is I am trying to get a roundtrip flight out of Buffalo to Florida for the week of President's day, but because all the kids have off from school that week, the discount fares get scooped up in a hurry.
Not sure if this is what you mean, but I just read in Men's Health, that the best time to check this is 1AM on Wednesdays. The airlines change their rates just after midnight on Wednesdays.

I'm sticking with the one I got when I was about 8 - it's Butch Byrd. 10 years ago, I could still fit in it (without the shoulder pads, of course).

more like 99%
I knew Shaq's Dad was a military man, but what is a SrNCO? I'm guessing Senior something Commanding Officer?

No, she made the switch to the crack pipe. She is super thin now.

That is class!

Maybe I didn't notice it before - I really thought she was hot. I thought she was still hot in Chicago, but I think it was the second weight gain and loss that did - especially if that picture is true that is linked above.
-
SilverNRed - that's what I was thinking!
SoundNFury - that picture is a joke, right?
-
the thing with Kelly is that she keeps getting hotter every time I see her. There may not be a hotter woman alive right now.
-
coachdickerson - I just looked up Kelly Ripa and Renee on imdb - Kelly is only about 16 months younger than Renee, and when I saw them together this week, Kelly was absolutely glowing and could not have looked hotter, while Renee looked horrible.
It's not an age thing.
-
There are many 36 year olds and above who have not hit the wall like that.
-
Man, she used to really do it for me. Now I think she looks horrible. Anybody else feel the same way?
If so, then I think it's all that weight gain and loss from doing the Bridget Jones stuff. I saw a thing I think in Men's Health where they showing what it did to Tom Hanks looks - his skin, his hair, etc. Did the same happen to Renee?

They announce a Journey concert by having the Stones symbol on their website. What a bunch of idiots. I don't even bother checking that station out anymore when I'm running thru the dial because it is always a commercial when I switch to it.
How ironic - the only group I've ever seen booed offstage was Journey when they opened for the Stone at the Stadium in '81.
-
Did anybody catch the announcement at 8AM? I missed it.
-
Don't forget Fire in Rochester!! Saw those three local ones, plus two at Giants Stadium (For You!!) and one in Cleveland and Pittsburgh - what a tour!!

I always say the best 3 three games ever in sports (that I saw) were Miracle on Ice, The Comeback Game, and when Baker beat St. Francis (undefeated and #1 in the state)in double overtime with Bill Truitt scoring 46 points in front of Lefty Driesell, Bobby Cremins, Jim Satalin, Digger Phelps and about 10 other college coaches. Nobody on here will know what I'm talking about, but you had to be there. The coaches were all there to see Chris Patton, and Truitt gets a scholarship to South Carolina out of it. One of the overtimes was caused by a half-court shot. It was just unreal, and anybody who was there will never forget it.
