  1. Yup, totally agree!
  2. And, when he's having one of his many twitter fights, he'll mock somebody out for having a lot less followers. Yeah, you are posting news about the Bills and have the inside scoop. You think that has something to do with it?
  3. It is definitely a viable and interesting question for this board.
  4. I heard Schopp and the Bulldog talk about this, and now I see it on the front page of espn.com. I do have to wonder what is going to happen with this lawsuit and also with insurance companies insuring high school and little league teams, etc. It's going to be something big financially that might bring the decline of football. I'd like to what others think: http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9387994/lem-barney-says-sees-end-football-10-20-years
  5. Holy cow is this true. He acts like a total ass on twitter.............I wasn't sure if he was right or wrong when he left here (the thing that sent him leaving seemed very trivial, but wasn't sure what else there was)...........But, he is so self-important it's ridiculous. This is such a look at me article and aftermath. Why couldn't he just not call them the Redskins without announcing that is what he's doing?
  6. I think you've pretty much got that age range nailed.
  7. I actually remember exact dates of almost all of the big shows that I've seen. That Dec 4th date was always a big one for me. Various things happened on that day, including my first Who show in 1979 and my first Springsteen show in 1980. Septembers was a pretty big bar out by the airport.
  8. Wow - that's insane!
  9. Yeah, I saw the setlist on line, too. Maybe Septembers got changed to Pastimes in the Fall of 84? I played volleyball there in the summer of 84 and it was still Septembers. But that place has had a lot of names, and maybe Pastimes is one I forgot. A little googling and it sounds like it was a Buff State bar on Grant Street. Some people mention it in here. How small must this bar have been?!? http://www.pbase.com/kjosker/buffalo_bars&page=1
  10. Damn, I think you're right. I had only scrolled through about 6-8 of them. They weren't that exciting - looked like every other picture of FDR I've ever seen, etc. and the slideshow was going so slow that I bailed. Now the ones everybody is talking about must have been after that, so I was going to back to it, and it's not working!
  11. I remember Septembers but don't remember Pastimes at all. And, in December 1984, I was still alive.
  12. And wasn't there a movie called The Replacements that had the Bills in it?
  13. Thanks for the explanation............I've definitely seen a lot of 'Mats tweets and such the last few days.
  14. I should probably listen to Dana Gould. Love when he's on Carolla's show!.................Any idea why Larry Miller hasn't been on Ace's show? I figured that once he was back to health and doing his own podcast again, he'd be back for more roadtrips or whatever that segment was called. We're going to Florida! He's such a good guy.
  15. I don't know one song by them, and never even heard of them until the last 5-10 years. I looked up why - their biggest US hit went to #79. Why are they called the Mats? Wouldn't it be the Ments?
  16. Could not agree with you less. But, I soooo wanted her to live. I wanted to trade Lindsay, Britney and whoever else was on the edge in last 5-10 years to save Amy, but I knew she'd be the one to go.
  17. I've feared for people's lives before - who are still alive!.............I'd say Valerie is definitely near death - stage 4 cancer. Mary may or may not be.
  18. Yeah, because this is who you want serving you:
  19. Great quote - especially coming from somebody who has tattoos.
  20. Thanks. He looks good..........Listening to Jill on GR today with S&B, it sounds like it's pretty tough right now, but progressing as hoped..........She said that they still need more results back.
  21. I didn't realize today was the Hunter's Hope auction day until I turned on at the end of S&B. They raised 50K. A hunting trip/weekend/not sure how many days with Jim and Brett Favre went for 11K or so. That actually seems like a bargain for a once in a lifetime thing like that, esp. if you're really into hunting.
  22. But, Eugene Parker didn't leave one dollar on that table.
  23. Has anybody ever questioned whether this is definitely true. I'd imagine the record keeping wasn't all that precise 200 years ago.........And, the odds have all that have always totally baffled me. I don't know if you can say MTM is near death. She appears to be dealing with some major health issues - broken bones and pneumonia (on top of diabetes), but whose to say she can't recover? It says she's in seclusion at home. Yeah, she broke her !@#$ing hip!
