  1. The only player not practicing on Thursday was Robert Woods. Goodwin returned to practice as a limited participant. E.J. Manuel, Thad Lewis and C.J. Spiller continued to be full practice participants.
  2. He changed it! He had the Bills when I checked it this morning.
  3. Because the Steelers are terrible this year? Because they lost to the Vikings, their only win of the season? Because they have only won once at home this season? Because the Bills have a better record despite having more injuries and a harder schedule? Didn't realize these things needed to be said. Very obvious.
  4. Wow, thought this was the Bills message board. My bad.
  5. I guess we deserve it with a 3-6 record but PIT is even worse! Most other sites are mixed in their picks. Bleacher Report actually has 9 out of 12 picking the Bills. But ESPN has a clean sweep for the Steelers.
  6. We are overthinking this. The Bills schedule is super easy from here on out. If they are a contender, they will take advantage. If they are a pretender, they will drop some games that good teams should win. Either way, when it's done we should have a good idea of what we're going to get next year. I would consider anything less than 8-8 a failure given how they've played thus far and how easy the remaining schedule is.
  7. I love how people on here pretend that EJ will not be a franchise QB after 4 starts! You need to give it at least 20 before you could possibly know. Especially with the upside he has shown.
  8. He didn't want a turnover, he had the lead, and was hoping maybe Spiller would break free and score. Wish he had called conservative plays like that in the second half as well.
  9. The Jets lost by 40 to the Bengals and got blown out by the Titans. Sorry, they are not that good. Bills beat them at home last year and should be able to again. Same goes for MIA.
  10. ??? Try 2.4%, according to this link. But with each win that percentage will go up..
  11. The Bills have not played a single game all year against a team with fewer wins than they had. Think about it. All opponents have had equal or more wins. They have a very good chance of winning the 4 games against the teams with zero and two wins. They have a very good chance of beating Jets and Fins in Buffalo (they did it last year for crying out loud). That makes 9-6 going into the final game against the Pats a reasonable expectation.
  12. You can't criticize this team for losing like previous years when the season isn't over yet. If they finish with 6 wins or less, fine. But right now, with a much easier closing schedule, there is every reason to believe that their "quality losses" against good teams will translate to wins against worse teams. Especially with EJ's probable return. I expect them to finish with more than 6 wins which will instantly make them better than the last 3 years, and also be a positive sign that the trajectory is upward for next year and beyond.
  13. You have to put this season in the proper context by acknowledging that their quarterback has missed half the games with an injury. I think everyone in that locker room believes they are a winning team with Manuel under center. They were 2-2 and heading toward 3-2 when he went down. They also know the schedule has been rough up until now and now gets easy. If EJ returns for Sunday, I think this team will be reinvigorated and pumped up for the rest of this season and the immediate future. I fully expect them to finish strong. I will predict 5-2 for an 8-8 season and an overall good feeling in the locker room that this team will be a playoff-caliber team next season.
  14. No game is a gimme but the schedule from here on out is one of the easiest in the NFL. The schedule so far has been one of the hardest. No excuse not to go at least 8-8, especially with EJ likely returning this week.
  15. They've already played it safe with him. Missing 4 games on nonsurgical injury. The team can either stay motivated and fight till the end or give up and tank the rest of the season. I much prefer the former and EJ being out there will certainly help motivate the team and the fan base.
  16. We've been saying every game is huge for weeks now. I think we've run out of huge games. If they rattle off 5 straight wins then the last two games of the season will be huge. But this team needs to show they can win 2 in a row before I start expecting 5. Until that time, what's huge is that they just keep playing with toughness and heart, and they continue to learn what they are capable of as a team, because next year might really be good.
  17. Love this team. No major changes necessary. Just growth and add some pieces. This team will be a playoff contender next year if the major players can stay healthy.
  18. All good points, but I think people around here are losing patience waiting for this team to turn the corner. With good reason.
  19. 12-33. Bills have no excuse not to be 8-7 heading into week 17.
  20. Where does that pick 6 rank? A complete season-altering moment. It's no wide right, but I'm going to be having nightmares about that one for a long time.
  21. Aw man and I can't edit it from my phone.
  22. I don't like the guy but there is one reason the Jets are 5-4 and the Bills are 3-6. The Bills have a much better all-around team than the Jets but the Jets have gotten much better QB play.
  23. They gave away 3 points and handed the Chiefs a cheap 14. Bottom-dwelling football from a young team with a lot of heart and promise, but one that clearly is not able to complete at this level in 2013.
  24. Let's be honest. We need a miracle turnover or this ones over.
