    McD seems to be able to piece together an effective defense, especially secondary, without spending a lot of money. I'd rather spend our resources on the other side of the ball. And we are going to have to pay Tre White pretty soon as well.

    It's tough to make this argument since the program with the most consistency and longevity, by far, in history is run by Bill Belichick. More importantly, than the background of the head coach, is getting the right coordinators installed, especially on the other side of the ball from your own specialty.

    Personally, I am hoping for a Peterman start and win. It would be pretty awesome to identify the Jets as the one and only team that Nathan Peterman ever beat. The NY tabloids would have a field day.
