  1. Instead of drafting a wide receiver what free agents intrigue you? I think Nicks would be a big upgrade over Stevie. The Giants are definitely parting with him. How realistic would it be for Buffalo to become his landing spot and what do you think it would take? Are there any other free agents you'd consider over drafting a wr?
  2. The defensive mentality was definitely all or nothing, hence the insane amounts of sacks. DAREUS needs to grow up and I hope he saw what stefan charles was able to do with his first half of meaningful time. Did anyone else notice how impressive this kid was? Pettine did very well this year, work on getting a run stopper and we will be top 5. I would say we are keeping all our coaching staff besides Crossman. That includes Hackjob... Defense was a bright spot for us this year.
  3. Leonard was not our biggest problem and he came away with some clutch picks. I agree having Byrd back there is game changing but we were still missing Gilmore. Leonard performed admirably for us.
  4. Pay Him! Homegrown with nothing to show for it? If the Bills can't find a way to keep Byrd they can plan on losing Kiko, Woods, or any other young talent we have and develop. His loss was ultimately our gain this season. He sat out, Leonhard and Williams were able to play more and A. Williams specifically benefited from this. What's it gonna cost to keep him? This cycle will continue to repeat itself. Keep Byrd and send the message that we pay the players who perform for us and show loyalty. I'm sure Byrd woulda flown the coop in a heart beat earlier this year but with the emergence of a scary defense that he can immediately impact he could decide to stay. PAY HIM!
  5. It's fruitless to take frustration out on the consumer. I'm in the same boat as any other fan... wasting money and emotion on a franchise that hasn't done anything for the majority of my lifetime. Alot of the members on this board remember what it's like to feel like a winner... I don't. Ultimately we have the same goal to be successful. I am hoping the Bills continue to work with EJ, pick up a quality vet, and either keep Thad( pending on NE outcome) or draft unknown talent as competition. EJ should not be considered starter going into preseason and should have to compete. He has earned nothing but an injury proned "What If " to me. If not Mike Vick who would be another quality vet to bring in?
  6. Sanchez to B Lo... hmmm. That'd be sweet revenge taking what Rex has loved, admired and tattooed in his heart.. making Sanchez successful as a Buffalo Bill would ruin Ryan. There are plenty of options out there but I hadn't really thought about this one. Can't say I'm horribly against it... 14 years out the playoffs will leave a man grasping at straws.
  7. 21 to 20 Bills win. CJ has a big game in the wet conditions... Fred continues to pound the rock. 100 yd games outta both our rbs.... Summers a goal line TD.
  8. It's unfortunate how we as a fan base view EJ and how he needs to build confidence without being questioned. Is it possible for him to become better through competition with another qb. By winning out a quarterback competition he will have earned being the starter which is something EJ hasn't had to do here. I'd prefer my qb to have that type of SELF confidence. But I do agree that Buffalo fans would be calling for Vick if EJ starts to stumble.
  9. Sage, I agree with your comment on Fitz and he probably would have restructured his deal if it weren't for the deadspin fallout. And I think you have unknowingly revealed the bigger problem, keeping our qb's healthy behind a strong offensive line. Top priority in the off-season for sure.
  10. No longer using the dead bills pic, now can we focus?
  11. Nanker, I'm more than aware of my gravatar... it's awesome and should serve as a homage not an insult. Who whizzed in your Flutie Flakes. Is that all your bringing to the conversation is an insult?
  12. It could inevitably end up as Mike Vick starting with very little transition having to take place. But I can't imagine any Bills fan feels like they are in more capable hands with Thad starting over Mike Vick if he were an option.
  13. Now I am well aware this post is blastworthy and look forward to the always creative remarks. But if the Eagles decide to part with Vick I could see him considering Buffalo if the offer hits the table. Here's how it makes sense. We wanted him when he first returned from lock up. Of course being the Bills we got overlooked for Andy Reid. He beat out Kolb and were still paying that bums contract. His style of play is what we are asking of EJ to learn and who better to learn it from than an all pro mobile vet. Of course there Is the risk that Vick would ignite a controversy over Qb but that's not what would entice him to come here. Ej is a risk, has missed considerable time as does Mike Vick every season. Mike can see how injuries expose weakness and he would realize that it Is very possible to take the #1 spot here if Manuel gets hurt again. It also would provide Vick a decent amount of time to rest, learn our system and help groom Ej. I would approach this as a duel qb system. We're hoping Ej stays healthy but if not we're more than ready to sub Vick in without changing our game plan. And I could see Vick lighting it up for the latter half of a season, playoff Vick? I like Ej, seems smart, humble an all the intangibles you want. If Mike Vick has learned anything playing his style of quarterback through the years it's the toll it takes on the body and how important that lesson is to teach Manuel is an understatement. There are plenty more reasons why this makes sense but I'd rather hear from others. Hate, Love, Confused?
  14. With trade rumors swirling in the off-season about Big Ben I can't help but wonder if this is something One Bills Drive will discuss in the off-season, depending on how EJ finishes the season. Big Ben is what we all hope Ej becomes. He's big, mobile and has a strong arm and this move could be brilliant. Ralph wants to field an immediate competitor before he sees his last game this would make it happen for years to come. Are defense is solid and our Wr are young and promising, quite the impressive rb duo and the cap space to kill. Ej developing his game watching Ben will only set us up for success when Ben retires, ala Farve Rodgers. What do you think it would take to make this happen a first and Byrd?
  15. If special teams performs brutal in this game we've got to replace Crossman. Easley is a helluva gunner among other terrific athletes on our ST. Theres no excuse... Marrone has high expectations for his players and coaching cannot hold this team back. I'd like to see what ol Bobby April's up to these days. Any takers?
  16. The scheme needs to include more screens but overall I think the expectations were too high going into the season, especially after Hackett ran off at the mouth. Does anyone think his Grandfather's messed up situation before the season began played a factor in preparation up until this point? I still believe he will break out but then again I'm a Bills fan so my eternal optimism can't be trusted.
  17. I'm voting for Vince young, he gives us the best shot to win. But I have a gut feeling we're getting Tim Tebow. If you're going to tank a season without Ej you might as well sell out the games. Tebow would do just that. Tebow in the middle of Freddy Jack and Spiller.. I'd watch. This could be the opportunity we have to take after the bad karma we got for f:¢_ing over Flutie. Giving Tebow a shot makes us even in my eyes.
  18. Check national football post... or google darick rogers. Coffees for closers Mitch.
  19. Definitely agree, grabbing him and releasing darick was a great move. Indy just dropped darick. Dude must not have the football iq.
  20. Before Fitz got paid I had been wearing my Moorman Jersey every game and refused to wash it to keep the streak alive. My wife is a Giants fan. While unloading the washing machine with her I found my Jersey at the bottom of the washer, we began to lose per usual (sabotage?). When we released Moorman last year I opted for Cj and got it this July. Wore it to the game sunday and Cj was brutal. What can a guy do? I wanna rock Cj and know wearing Moorman is sacrilegious in most circles... How can I contribute to this win? IS LUCK LOST?
  21. With Marquise getting injured who returns kicks this week. Could be Robert Woods but I know I'd like to see Easley. He made the team finally I'd like to see him take it to the house. What do you think B Lo Mafia?
  22. You get this guy off Belicheat? I knew after rocking the 1980s body building cut off hood that he was off his rocker but it's all starting to make sense. I must go see my psychic now.
  23. Gross... I know it's a camp body but there has to be someone better. I don't want Beck, Jamarcus Russel will only create more controversy. I can't help but wonder if Nix never ended up on deadspin we probably would still have Fitz who is better than Kolb and Tuel, although Tuel has a higher ceiling. Keepin my fingers crossed that EJ is back week 1 or were in trouble.
  24. EJ earned the start and his procedure was minor(drainage). He will start week one. The cool controversy we have at hand is Jeff Tuel being provided with first team reps. Kolb couldn't out perform work out equipment. I think Kolb gets the start this week and after impressing no-one will get second half of game 4, where Tuel will win back up. Kolb is the vet.. better heard then seen. Luckily they'll all be handing the ball to CJ. Let's go B-Lo!
  25. Terrific Job again Astro. I just recently got married so I havnt been posting but I also havnt missed any practice notes. I am loving me some Gaskins lately, especially after his emergence at the Scrim. Any updates on why he wasnt out there. Seems like a better choice over Choice. Also again, my boy Darick! He better make this roster because he wont sit around on Practice Squad and itll bite us in the you know what. Thanks again!
