Pretty much what I did. Let the wife put on E! and I did a few things. I feel better. Definitely annoying. Obviously, I was watching with the pregame on but only partially paying attention as I read the posts here (so obviously I don't mind dumb comments ). But every time you look up there's this idiot just talking as though he knows something when it's so clearly obvious he doesn't.
-
But it's driving me nuts. Is he really this dumb or does he do it on purpose just to give the other guys something to say? He thinks Philly is a joke because they tied Cinci this year. So, no matter what they do since then, Philly is undeserving. Sproles is no good because he's too small. What was he doing last weekend? And on... Sorry. Just had to vent a little. But, he's just so dumb it's pissing me off and about to make me turn on the horrid Fox pregame.

Why can't people realize that just because a player isn't "Pro Bowl" caliber every week, he shouldn't necessarily be run out of town? Leonhard makes a few good plays on one of the greatest defenses in the league and suddenly he's better than Donte or KoMillions? Get rid of McGeheehee, Gandy as I reccall was the worst LT in the league.. run 'em out of town. What people need to realize is that the Bills are a bad team, primarily due to substandard coaching. A lot of players are going to look bad here. It appears to be several years before that even has the possibility of changing. But, go ahead, run a half dozen or so good players out of town along the way if it makes you feel good. However, just get used to seeing them contributing on playoff teams.

Run into the line. Then miss a 52 yard FG attempt. Titans get the short field and kick a last second FG to win.

not sure

I'm guessin the refs got somewhere to be and don't want overtime? That was clearly delay of game penalty.
-
Add me to the list that thought he was out. Replays would sure be nice.

I honestly can't remember the last time the Bills played with even a fraction of the intensity that either of these teams is displaying.

Bruce, Andre and Ralph make the HOF cut
Dan replied to BarkLessWagMore's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True. But, who's opinion is more important? The people that actually vote or the people (like us) that just talk about votes. The fact remains the HOF voters thought at one point in time that Al Davis was notable enough to be worthy of HOF induction. If he gets in, there's no rational explanation for Ralph's exclusion. So, until someone comes out and says All Davis (and a few others) was a mistake, I think you have to weigh would be inductees accomplishments against current members. -
Is Peyton a choker? Yes according to Whitlock
Dan replied to Willis990's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would suggest that Peyton's post season (lack of) success is directly comparable to Marino's. The Dolphins fell in love with the arm of Marino and relied almost solely on his passing ability. In much the same way, the Colts rely entirely too much on the passing of Peyton. Although good enough to get them a great number of wins, the really good teams are able to develop a game plan that neutralizes any one player. When you get to the playoffs, more often than not, you're facing really good teams. Pressure Manning and throw off his timing and what do the Colts have? Not much. A very, very average run game and a very, very average defense. For all the greatness of Polian and the Colts, they're not nearly balanced enough and they've continually relied too much on Peyton's throwing to win games. The Dolphins never gave Marino a solid defense or running game and he won zero Super Bowls. You could add Elway to this conversation, as well. How well did he do in the big games until Davis got there? Give Manning a better balanced team and I would almost guarantee he "chokes" less. -

Toyota projects first operating loss since 1941
Dan replied to RLflutie7's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"Toyota, which makes the Prius gas-electric hybrid and Camry sedan, expects 50 billion yen ($555 million) in net profit, down from 1.7 trillion yen earned the previous year." Source Not making enough money or not making any money? I love how businesses do math. Wish I only made $555 million last year. -
I don't watch a lot of college ball. But, why can't the NFL handle the play reviews the same way? It seems soooooo much better and quicker. Decent start by Buffalo, but the QB is looking shakey. Jitters or par for his game?

Offensive Line Run Blocking finally came around...
Dan replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Duke Preston took over at Center in week 7 (Oct. 19). Give a few weeks for gelling with the other linemen, and is it a convenient coincidence that the run game improved in the last 2 months of the season with a different Center. -
For me, at least, I'll disagree. What makes the current state of the Bills so dismal is... we all know what the primary problem on this team is. The coaching staff is woefully inadequate. Yet, the team is taking no steps to correct the problem. Personally, I can deal with the team being bad. I can handle multiple losing seasons. I can take all sorts of crushing defeats - hell I'm a life long Bills fan. However, I expect that each year they're taking some measures to correct the problem. If they don't get it right or new problems surface, yeah it sucks. But, at least they tried to get better. But when the entire football world sees how inept our coaching and game planning are, and there's no change in that, well, what hope is there? I guess Jauron et al. could defy all odds and suddenly find a clue. But, that's not so much hoping they get better as it is just praying for dumb luck. So, for me, it's not so much that we suck; but more a case of we suck and we're not going to address the problem so deal with it.

40 and been a "confirmed" fan since the mid 80's (throughout the 70's I watched but mostly because my parents did and I had no choice). Let me ask a related question. What kind of start to next season would make you feel good? If the Bills start out 3-0 or 4-0 again, can anyone really think that they're starting a playoff run? I find it hard to look at this team with any hope or optimism. So, what will it take to make me think we're on a playoff run next season? I really don't know, but I doubt I'll believe it until I actually see a little symbol beside the Bills name that denotes "clinched playoff spot". I will forever follow the Buffalo Bills, but I have no illusions that they'll resemble a professional NFL team any time soon. Sucks.

We are lucky DJ does not read all of these negative post
Dan replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would be very astounded to learn that Jauron goes into any game with any sort of plan whatsoever. The haphazard fashion in which plays are called, in which players wander around the field waiting for a call, the complete lack of any adjustments to any opponents, and the befuddled look of players and coaches alike can only lead any one with any knowledge of football to wonder what he hell this team does spend its time on all week. I could only hope Jauron read this board. Perhaps he'd learn something. Because I'm 100% certain that there are more than a few posters here that could coach this team better. -
Life sucks and then you watch the Bills.

Dan replied to GG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
(i'll take care of that) Yeah. That's what is so tough for me. I've had hope that Jauron could put it all together. But, watching the decline this season, just beat it into my stubborn head that he doesn't possess the necessary skills to turn this team around. It's not evevn so much that we lost, but more so how we lost. The looks of confusion, the poor decisions, the poor play designs (I just expect poor play calling), the poor ... . hell everything. Perhaps, I'm wrong. We'll see, I suppose. -

No. I have all the confidence in the world that the Bills will sign several free agents and address the team's area of need. I doubt it'll be Haynesworth (for various reasons most not related to Ralph), but they'll bring in guys. They've shown they'll address the areas of need in the off season. But, so what. With the same coaching staff, so what. They brought in Mitchell. He's a good LB at stopping the run and rushing the passer. So we drop him back in coverage. They brought in big offensive linemen - good for blowing guys off the LOS. So we have them stunting and pulling themselves right out plays. There's is absolutely no reason to believe that they'll suddenly realize how to use the talent they have on this team. -

I truly don't think that's possible.
