I really don't get all the Lynch hatred of late. I just don't. He had a down year, on a team where everyone had a down year. And now he doesn't play with passion? He's one of the hardest runners I've ever seen and gives his all every time he steps on the field. Between the suspension, the trainers letting him gain weight, and Jauron not having a clue on how to run an offense; is it any wonder his production fell off last year? Nix has said he plans on Lynch being here next year and I, for one, hope he telling the truth.

I see the Pats* as kinda the extreme in "working" the draft. All they've done is work the draft, moving up and back and all around. It seems like they like making draft trades more than they like making draft picks. So, if they make all those trades, but then trade those trades to get more trades; when do they ever get players playing? Of the other end of the spectrum is the Bills. Make no moves, stay where you are and pick the guys you want regardless of "value".

This Is It for Getting Something for Lynch
Dan replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why does everyone believe Nix when he said they had no plans to draft Tebow, but choose to ignore Nix when he says he expects Lynch to be here next season? It might be time to consider the alternate reality that just maybe Lynch won't be traded. -
Is it just me or are the Pats* just trade happy? Has anyone made as many draft trades as they have?

Nix says Tebow was never in the cards
Dan replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Valid points. I was just throwing out a possible alternative. It's certainly a well known fact that the national "insiders" have little knowledge of the Bills franchise. So, I don't take what they say at face value. But, I'd suggest you can't take a GM's comments at face value either; especially in the middle of the draft with moves and picks still to be made. -
Nix says Tebow was never in the cards
Dan replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds like Nix trying to save face to me. Either that or he's the best smokescreen blower in the league. It was widely reported yesterday that the Bills were going to get a QB in round 1. It twas widely reported that they were very high on Tebow. The moment Tebow was picked, you had all the inside sources saying Buffalo was heartbroken, crestfallen even. I'm thinking they got into a bidding war to move up and lost. Denver gave up A LOT to get Tebow. I'm glad they didn't mortgage the draft for one player. But, if you were in his shoes, you'd be trying to save a little face as well. -
Judging by what Denver gave up to get Tebow, I'd say it looks like there was a bit of a bidding war going on and the Broncos were willing to give more.

What's your point? We have a good starting RB, so let's draft another one? Your point is exactly why so many of us are upset. We have Freddie who's a very capable RB. We have Lynch who's a very capable RB. We don't need another RB. We need a LT, a DT, a QB. So, why pick someone at one of the few positions we actually have a little depth? Then you see the Bills say they like him in this Bush/gadget roll? Come on man.

Too late. I've tried to be patient in my disgust for the "direction" this team has taken this offseason. But, now I'm cetain, Nix et al., have no clue what this team needs to contend. They've underwhelmed with every decision they've made this offseason. And no matter, how much potential this kid may have, how can he ever realize it playing on a team that refuses to fix their problems? Maybe they'll pull some rabbits out of their hats with the later rounds. But, absolutely nothing has been shown to prove that they might.

So on a team with plenty of holes, you think it's ok to draft a guy that's playing behind established starters and running behind a line that still can't open any holes?
-
That's what I've been thinking. Tonight is the night we find out what this new regime is made of. They made the underwhelming selection for a coaching staff. They've made underwhelming FA acquisitions. So, now my question is do they have a plan for getting this team better or are they just going to take random "good" players in hopes to generate some buzz. If they take a RB or WR at #9, then we'll know everything we need to know.

Tim Tebow claims he knows who will draft him
Dan replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's assume, he does know who is going to pick him. Would he really choose to stay at home and shoot hoops if he knew for certaain he was going to be a 1st round pick? -
Mike Lombardi: Bills will take a QB in Rd. 1
Dan replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No idea what he meant. That's kinda how I took it, though... a team that was kinda quietly trying to trade up that people wouldn't expect. Given everyone seems to be talking about the potential for the Bills to trade up and given NGU's info; I'm thinking it's not the Bills. But, maybe the Pats* as was suggested by drg2021? -
Mike Lombardi: Bills will take a QB in Rd. 1
Dan replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True. And the Pats* have 10 picks this year to manuever with. Should be interesting, to say the least. -

Dan replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mayock just said there's a "ghost" team that really wants Tebow. Don't be surprised to see him go before Clausen, if Clausen falls out of the top 10. All this speculation, kinda goes against NGU's insight, however. Should be interesting. -
Mike Lombardi: Bills will take a QB in Rd. 1
Dan replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's exactly wat they're suggesting... the Bills have done alot of homework, review and scouting on Tebow, don't be surprised if they move back up o take him. Not sure I like it at all. But, there's alot of Buffalo talk right now on NFLN about them moving up to get a QB. -
Mike Lombardi: Bills will take a QB in Rd. 1
Dan replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just stated on NFL Network: (talking about Clausen slipping) From a very reliable source in Buffalo, Buffalo will not leave tonight without a QB. And they will not take one at #9. The discussion was how far will Clausen fall if he's not picked in the top 10. Casserly said he see's a late 1st round run. Lombardi then agreed and and gave the above tidbit, and suggested that the late 1st round run would probably be 2nd rounders trading up. -
I think they lost because they have a 5 pass rule. Why don't they go down and shoot the darn puck at the net?

South Park creators threatened over depiction of Muhammad in recent ep
Dan replied to Fezmid's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I would suggest that if they're intolerant or waging war, then they're not followers. But, rather, bitter people that are good at manipulating others and using Islam and Christianity as tools to control others. -
Get a proven QB like Big Ben and there's a chance, albeit slim chance, that we could win at least 8 games next season. With our current group of QBs or a draft pick, there's an infinitesimal chance that we have a winning season. So, I'm not saying I'd be excited; but I'd at least think there's was a chance of having an average year. Of course, with our coaching staff, I see no reason to believe that we'll have a winning season anytime soon regardless of who they bring in. So, the only way I'll be excited is when Chan actually proves he can simultaneously be a HC and OC (something not many HC's have been able to do) and be worthy of his hire when no one for 10yrs has thought him competent.

I'll be sending good thoughts and prayers in your direction. News like this is never good. But, I'll pray you get through this difficult time as well as possible. -
Number Nine Draft Class of All Time on NFL Network
Dan replied to Amstel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that draft class was the key to the Superbowl run... it took 5 years to pan out. Do we have that kind of patience? Now a days a guy is considered a bust if he's not tearing it up in training camp. -
You're neglecting rule #1: Interpret reports/news in any way you want such that it fits your preconceived ideas/agenda. Case in point: Nix says he expects Lynch to be here. But, I don't like Lynch because he's a thug; therefore, Nix obviously wants to trade him and is just creating a predraft smoke screen. Case in point: Schobel says he's considering retirement, but there's no word from him or the Bills. But, I don't like Schobel because I'm an unknowledgable fan; therefore, Schobel is holding the team hostage (ala Favre) and now I have more reason to not like him.

Well I did make a post on the PPP board earlier today, so I'm clearly toying with suicidal thoughts.
