  1. Just wondering who everyone thinks is the bigger bust. It's hard to say. I would say because Russell was a number one overall pick and the raiders could have taken anyone and passed on Calvin Johnson that he was the bigger bust. The Chargers were gonna take whoever the Colts didn't take and Leaf was labeled as a can't miss prospect so u can't really blame them at the time. What does everyone think? Just thought it would be a fun question to ask
  2. Our running game is decent but it can be better. We were top 5 in rushing after the first 4 games of the season but it has dropped since. What I mostly meant is that I think that is why we are seeing a dip in CJ's production. The way we run it make's it extremely predictable to know what we are doing on a play by play basis. If we mixed it up a little bit I think CJ will be back to how he was last season. I don't think it has to do with our oline it's more predictability
  3. If we didn't run the ball on 90% of our first and second down plays then I really think that would help our oline. I think it has more to do with predictable playcalling than them actually being bad. If other teams know exactly what we are doing every single time it's gonna be extra easy for them. That in my opinion is why the run game is as bad as it is is. It has more to do with the defense knowing we are gonna run on first and second down and then throw on third as opposed to our oline actually being bad at blocking
  4. Why does everyone think our line is atrocious? They have only had about 3 really bad games this season. Out of the 43 sacks you mention, 8 of them came in the first Jets game and another 7 came in the Tampa Bay game. If you take those 15 sacks out of the equation then they have only given 28 sacks in all the other games. Every offensive line is gonna have a couple bad games a season.
  5. Of drafting Mike Evans with our first pick and Austin Seferian-Jenkins in rd 2 and having these two monsters in the red zone. No defense would be able to double cover both of these guys. Aaron Murray or Aj McCarron in rd 3 would be good also. But I believe the first two guys completes our offense with the exception of a guard which we may be able to grab in a middle round.
  6. We should trade the redskins our next two drafts for RGIII. I think they will do it
  7. He is a free agent after the season and he has been great this year. We can bring him in to be a solid backup
  8. Vernon Davis He was the 6th overall pick in 2006. If we can get the next Vernon Davis I say do it
  9. I know this season isn't over yet but I was looking through some of the free agents for next season and I came across Brian Orakpo. I think he would be a nice addition on the other side of Mario and he shouldn't be too much to sign.
  10. I have said plenty of times, with as much as EJ likes to check it down he would thrive with a game changing tight end. That's why I think tight end is the biggest need. It could change the dynamic of our offense. However Khalil Mack would be a great addition especially if we could pick up Orakpo in free agency. Having him on the other side of Mario with Dareus and Kyle in the middle and Lawson, Kiko and Mack at linebacker would be a nasty front seven
  11. When it comes to rating QBs, superbowls aren't really a way to do it. There are other factors to look into. Me and my friend have gotten into arguments over which manning brother is better Peyton or Eli and and if u ask me it's Peyton without question. Granted Peyton has only one superbowl win and Eli has two but when I look at what both teams had to work with I think Eli won with a more well rounded team. The Giants had a much better defense in both years they won the superbowl than Peyton had to work with his entire tenure in Indy. Peyton and the offense had to constantly put up a bunch of points to keep up with opponents because their defense sucked for so long. Peyton holds a lot of records and is the only QB to have 4 MVPS it's clear to see when they both play which one is better. Peyton makes everyone around him better. Eli does not. I also make the argument to which QBs would u rather have out of Peyton and Roethlisberger. Peyton only has one superbowl but has been to two and Roethlisberger has two but has been to three. Does that make him better? I don't think so, again Roethlisberger had a much better defense on his side. I would take Peyton any day of the week. I think to base how much better or good a QB is on superbowls compared to other QBs is like saying that Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino because Dilfer won a superbowl and Marino didn't. That's not to say that when it comes to rating a QB winning a superbowl isn't anything. It's just not everything
  12. I've been watching a lot of college football lately and one guy I have noticed and would absolutely love in our offense is Austin Seferian-Jenkins the tight end out of washington. I've been saying since I've seen EJ play that I think he would thrive in this offense with a game changing big pass catching tight end like a Jason Witten or Jimmy Graham and I think that guy is Seferian-Jenkins. This guy has great build, speed and can break tackles very well. He seems like he would be an excellent red zone target. After seeing him play a few games I have been reading some scouting reports on him who say he is the best tight end that will be coming out in a while and has lots of comparisons to Rob Gronkowski. I think we are set at RB and we have a nice set of Receivers and if EJ can get this nice safety valve underneath our offense could be deadly. Thoughts?
  13. They should not trade Byrd for any less than a 2nd rounder. A 3rd or later is giving him away
  14. We shouldn't move him for anything less than a 2nd rounder. I say stay firm on a first rounder but nothing less than a second if there aren't any buyers
  15. I got a better one...Which is the better superbowl winning qb Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson
  16. It does look like we played with a different energy today. Something I don't think we have all seen for a long time. The first, second and third stringers all played very well
  17. I created a post saying how I think Kolb should get cut if he is outperformed by two rookies and everyone thought I was crazy. I'm glad to see some people think the same way as me
  18. No one thinks we are gonna make the playoffs this season anyway, does it really matter to have Fitz part II as even a third string. If Kolb doesn't play well in practice and these preseason games I wouldn't be against cutting him
  19. The Redskins went with RGIII and Kirk Cousins last year who were both rookies and Grossman was a 3rd stringer who they didn't even need so I think its entirely possible we can two rookies for the season
  20. Kolb has fell far behind over the last week and when he has been in practice he has not played well. Ej and Tuel have been doing very well in practice and Ej has pulled ahead of Kolb so far for the starting roll. With Ej starting this week and Tuel being the second qb out, they both have a chance to take the top two qb jobs and run with them if they play very well. If Kolb comes out with the third stringers and doesn't play well and is continually bad in practice, I think its a possibility he could be among the final cuts that doesn't make the roster. I don't think its to likely that we go into the season with two rookie qb's but I wouldn't rule it out either.
  21. Just thought I would start a fun thread about what everyone thinks is the top 5 Bills games of all time. It has to be games that the Bills have won. Mine are 5- The 1998 "Flutie Bootleg Game" Against the Jaguars 4- The "No Punt Game" Against the 49ers 3- The "51-3" Killing of the Raiders in the 1990 AFC Championship Game 2- The "The Streak Ending Comeback Win" Against the Patriots in 2011 And last but not least 1- The "Greatest Comeback of All Time" Against the Oilers in the 1992 Wildcard What do you think fellow Bills fans? What do you think are the greatest 5 Bills Games of all time?
  22. @nfldraftbites Numbers thrown Around on #Bills Jairus Byrd. Byrd's side wants 4 Year Deal 30-35 million w/ 40% Guaranteed. Bills want 5 Year Deal2:53pm - 12 Jul 13 According to this other tweet from them it appears that we are trying to get a 5 year deal for the same price. If a fifth year is added then they are gonna have to up it to $40 million because leaving the price the same way on a 5 year contract woild mean he would be making around $6 million a season. He's worth more than that
  23. We have $20 million in cap space we shouldn't need to take out any loans. We should be able to give him $8 million a season and get it over with. Byrd in my opinion is better than Goldson, Weddle and Berry and they are all making roughly $8 million a season. With as much cap space as we have this needs to get done. You don't say ur gonna build through the draft and then let our star players walk after their rookie contracts expire. Pay him
