  1. I seem to remember somebody posting a link to the real estate listing for his WNY home, within the last year or so. I don't think he resides there any more. I liked Moulds too, but, I remember his last two seasons or so, he started really pissing me off, on the field, becuse he seemed more pre-occupied with drawing interference calls, and complaining to officials after, than actually trying to catch the ball...I think his head got a little big after the monster year that he, Price and Bledsoe had together in 2002.
  2. I was gonna ask "WWE or Matthew Barnaby?"
  3. Polls mean nothing... if you want your candidate to win, you have to vote... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/24/obama-romney-nbc-marist-poll-ohio-virginia-florida_n_1542588.html
  4. Okay, no real story...but I "saw" Britney Spears and Simon Cowell earlier today...they are recording an "X-Factor" try-out episode where I work...just saw them through their car windows...no big whoop! A certain, immensely popular (in Austin) Bills back-up QB is hosting a party in the same facility next week! Maybe he will bring some of his new teammates with him!
  5. Well, the Celtics did blow the 76ers out a couple times in this series...and lost another game by 1 point, so you could say the same thing about the 76ers golfing a little earlier/ Both teams are strong defensively, and streaky offensively. If the Celtics had hit their open shots in the first half, last night, the game could have turned out much differently. They really are very similar teams, in many ways. The 76ers are sort of "no names" (at this point), the biggest difference is their ages. I concede, after last night, the Celtics may be in trouble. If the 76ers keep pushing them, they (the Celtics) will continue to ware down and take bad shots...having two days in between games won't hurt the Celtics. Have you noticed how little that Garnett, Pierce, Allen and Rondo are on the floor together? Allen is either over the hill, or that ankle injury is really affecting him, because they have gotten little out of him during the playoffs. At this point, they are better with Avery Bradley starting instead of Allen, but alas, Bradley is injured. I haven't heard anything definitive, but I suspect Bradley will miss game 7 as well, given the nature of his injury. The 76ers have an edge in depth...as great as Bass was in game 5 (in Boston) he was terrible last night, in Philly. He had a high number of quality shots in the first half, and missed on nearly all of them. Most teams have issues with bench players producing, on the road, especially in the playoffs. Either way, game 7 should be an intense game. Like I said, if the 76ers win, they will have earned it...and their youth, and great coaching, could help them give the Heat fits. No matter what happens, I think we are going to have two entertaining conference final series.
  6. You ever heard this version of Gin & Juice? That one already on my mix "There's a hot sun beating on the roof top..."
  7. Yeah, I only watch it if she is on with somebody else, other than Cowherd...I really can't stand even looking at the guy...it is always on when I get home from work...I only stop there if CC isn't on. The show is pretty silly, but that is what ESPN is all about now... I am really hoping that NBC Sports takes off, and raises the bar on good sports television. The show that Costas used to have on HBO (can't remember what it was called) is returning to NBC...and I believe, I read, Dan Patrick is slated to have a new show, come football season.
  8. Ah.. love that tune...admittedly, not the best video...first time they did the song live, on a whim...it has a kind of rough and tumble charm of it...like the best Deer Tick stuff.
  9. They are impressive... Celtics had their chance in the first half, when they were getting great shots, but not making any of them...76ers just shut down the key on defense, in the second...C's should be getting the ball to Pierce more...game 7 is going to be tough...if the 76ers win, they have earned it. Haslem absolutely deserved a suspension...he should have been tossed from game 5. I am sorry, but Hansborough's flagrant on Wade, despite the blood, was not the same at all...I have seen it a zillion times now...Hansbourough is playing the ball...when Wade makes an attempt to get away from him, Hansbourough makes the mistake of not moving his arm up, and chooses to make contact with Wades head...it wasn't a pre-meditated karate chop to the face like Haslem was going for...there may be unwritten rules, in all sports...but there are penalties for adhering to them too...as you said!
  10. Althea & Donna, summer ragga!
  11. Damn Yankees? Chickenfoot? You are too funny sometimes! The inclusion of Sammy Hagar, Tommy Shaw or Ted Nugent pre-cludes any group from being "super"...other than super-****ty!
  12. Michelle Beadle is leaving ESPN, and uber-douche "Sports Nation" co-host Colin Cowherd, for NBC Sports!! I really like Beadle a lot...I think she is pretty funny (for a girl), knows her stuff (for a girl) and has too much personality to be wasted next to Cowherd on that silly show... I also think, if NBC plays its' cards right, NBC Sports could eventually give ESPN a real challange for 24-hour sports network. They have some really high-quality people there...and their roster is growing. Their nightly sports re-cap show is so refreshing, compared to Sports Center...great move NBC! Now, give Beadle her own show, like ESPN toyed with... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/22/michelle-beadle-espn-nbc-sports-access-hollywood_n_1537263.html?ref=sports&icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl30%7Csec3_lnk3%26pLid%3D163394
  13. Forgive me if this has been pointed out, I read through the first 5 pages of this thread: Like everyone, it seems, I have learned to accept the Toronto series as a "necessary evil" to an extent. But one thing that troubles me about it, still, is that there don't seem to be any stipulations on who the Bills can/will play in Toronto. So far, they have played Miami, NY Jets, Bears, Redskins, and now, the Seahawks in regular season games in Toronto. The Miami and NY Jet games kind of pissed me off...now, if the Bills had been better those years, perhaps, the sentiments of the crowd would have been more tilted toward the Bills. I have not been to any of the games in Toronto, but, particularly those first two games, I recall people saying that it wasn't a particularly strong Bills crowd, and the fan reaction was non-existent. That does take an advantage from the Bills, how ever slight that might be. Also, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when the games are scheduled for the Toronto sereis. This year, they play the Seahawks in mid-December, while last year they played the Redskins in mid October. Maybe avoiding having a half-full stadium in mid-December against the Seahawks is a good thing, but if the Bills are winning, and the fan base is still enthused that late in the season, I could see going to Toronto as a bit of a momentum buster. Of course, until the Bills start winning more games than they lose, that point is moot.
  14. Any group with John McCauley is a "super group"! Good stuff! Pooj...any idea if McCauley ever recorded this song, other than this live clip? Love this song, but can't find it anywhere...I am assuming it is an original...love Nikki Darling as well:
  15. Even so, whether it is justified or not, you really can't have a guy punching another player in the face, as retaliation. Haslem didn't even make an attempt to pretend that his punch was just part of a play...he should sit a game. If that had been Ron Artest, he would have got booted, and nobody would think he didn't deserve it. The context of the series doesn't really matter...if it does, than the NBA is, basically, taking the NHL approach to it's game. If the Pacers are getting chippy, or dirty, let the refs call it, and handle it... if Haslem isn't satisfied with the way the refs are calling the game, and wants to take matters into his own hands, than so be it...but he should be suspended. Whoah! $40 for an NBA game...a playoff game! That is awesome...I would be snathcing those up quick. Playoff games, in almost any sport, are a blast. I have been to close to 200 Bills games over the years, my biggest regret, I have never been to a Bills playoff game!
  16. Simon, I saw the replay of "Hansborough's two armed assault on Wade in the lane", your description is a little over the top...Hansborough was playing the ball, Haslem was playing Hansboroughs face. It has been a chippy series, no doubt... but if the refs let Haslem get away with that, things are only going to get worse...I would not be shocked to see Haslem suspended for a game...and it would be deserved. NBA is no different than any other sport, things get more physical in the playoffs. LeBron has always had pretty sharp elbows...the Pacers know they are the underdog, they are trying to get in the Heats head, because they have earned a reputation for being mentally weak when the pressure is on... I don't mind either team...the Spurs are not the most exciting team, but you have to admire their consistency. And they are a pretty good group of guys. I suspect their mix of talent and experience will give them the edge on OKC, but I won't be shocked if the Thunder win either. The assumption seems to be that the Heat will make it in the East...I think the Spurs would have the best shot at beating them...
  17. This is the song that is the center-piece of my summer mix...guess I am getting sentimental in my old age...great set of lyrics!
  18. Jenkins is pretty good, but not that good...part of the reason the Cowboys want to trade him is because he wants to get paid...really paid! At some point, I suspect, the Bills are going to have to keep an eye on the cap...honestly, I think McKelvin could still be salvagable. I know he has his woes, but I think some of his problems are correctable....he has speed, and can keep up with anyone...that is a big part of being a shut-down corner..now he just has to learn the rest of it...
  19. Wow, just turned the Heat/Pacers game on, and Udonis Haslem just gave Tyler Hansbrough a very hard flagrant...he should have been booted, by the called it a "flagrant 1"...BS! Apparently Hansbourough did someting to Haslem earlier in the game, but still.. terrible call...this game is ugly...Haslem should not be allowed to play the rest of this game...dirty game going on!
  20. Has anyone seen "God Bless America" yet? I saw it last weekend...Bobcat Goldwaits' new movie...I liked it okay, but was a little disappointed...I thought it was going to be better. Excellent choice...one of my favorite movies, period. One of Scorsese's finest, least know movies...also "King Of Comedy" with Jerry Lewis and Sandra Bernhardt!
  21. Yeah, me too..."Just My Imagination", Stones-afied is a great summer track. I love that whole album... Another great one...from a time when the American Top 40 was really more diverse than ever. Ooh..another good one, Donovan "Sunshine Superman"...trippy!
  22. I don't hate JJ, but I am not supe familar with his catalog...any one particular song? I want to mix some old with some new! Yeah, I can definitely hear the Van Morrison influence on these guys! They were kind of "one hit wonders" who originated, if I am not mistaken, in Ithica. I love "Moondance", but for some reason, that song always reminds me of Fall... Good tune!
  23. Yeah, I agree...I think I like Christie McVie's stuff the most, of all the pop-Fleetwood Mac stuff. As for Rod Stewart, I remember somebody, somewhere, wrote of him "never has an artist so betrayed his own talent", and I kind of agree. You listen to that Faces era stuff, or even the Jeff Beck Group stuff, and the guy just had a tremendous voice...when he was working with people who kept his ego somewhat in check, he put out great records...but once "Blondes Have More Fun", he put his British blues credentials in the closet, and just started recording some really crummy stuff...I saw the Small Faces/Faces induction ceremony into the Rock 'N' Roll HOF (Little Steven inducted them!), all the living guys were there, except for Rod. Apperently he was ill...though I take that with a grain of salt...he was sick and couldn't make it when he was inducted as a solo artist as well. So, Ron Wood, Ian McLagen and Kenny Jones took the stage and played "Stay With Me", with Mick Hucknell (from Simply Red) singing...he sounded awesome! Probably sounds more like vintage Rod Stewart, than Rod himself, at this point. btw- Love "Emotional Rescue" too... I hear you...I like those songs, even though I should know better!
