Hardy has 4.4 speed. That was (IMHO) the reason he was drafted by the Bills. Oh and he is 6'5"

Is this a skill that can be worked on by the coaching staff? or is it genetic?

I saw the show, and I thought the panel's comments were right on. Reece picks Thomas... a couple people say it is a reach, which BTW it is! Mel Kiper chimes in and says, "Who cares if it is a reach! The Bills need a WR and they got the best one inthe draft. And then he turns to the another panelist and tells him that as far as draft value... who cares if the Bills player is number 17 on our board? The Bills got the player they wanted. There is only 6 draft slots difference.

Hopefully a top talent will fall to the 11 spot and a team will pick up the phone and offer us a 2nd rounder or 3rd rounder to move down. My money is on picking a WR at the #11 spot.

True but we need to upgrade the overall talent on this team so we can beat teams like Pit and the Cowboys.

That is what I'd try to do... Go DE or CB with #11 and trade up and go WR

Every one of the teams that you have marked as easy wins - Also have the Bills marked down as a easy win

The rebuilding of the Bills has been painfully slow. (a fact that we can all agree on) I, however, see light at the end of the tunnel. We have one position of real need on this team (WR) and 3 positions that need upgrades (TE, DE, CB) I have seen a lot of mocks here on TBD where people try to fix every position of need through trading down and getting more pics. It is not realistic to try to fix 4 positions (with starters) in one draft. It is realistic to expect that the Bills will upgrade 2 positions (round 1 & 2) with talent that could start on opening day. We can hope that the talent that they draft in rounds 3 & 4 will provide quality backups who will one day be starters. So, pull the trigger at #11 get the best player who will help the team the most and then address other needs in later rounds. I see the first pick helping the "D" Start cheering that the Bills will be a better team after the draft.

I wonder how many teams look at Buffalo and say "Easy Win!"

If Keith Rivers is still there when the Bills are on the board he would be the perfect trade down bait. If I'm the Bills I start a major PR campaign regarding Keith Rivers. Bring the Kid in for an interview... stuff like that. I think there are a lot of teams that might be willing to trade up to the 11 pick for KR. (im thinking Minnesota Vikings for one. Philly is another possible team) The fact is, there has to be a reason for a team to trade up in the draft and that mean a major talent has to be there AND the team that is trading up has to be worried that the player they covet will be gone by the time they pick. That is why I start the PR wagon rolling. Thoughts?

I would not be surprised if Philly takes a WR in the First round - I believe they are happy with their draft position and will not move up.
