Hasn't that door already been opened? I don't know how they would handle it, but if the Bills were always playing theirs in Toronto (and another team had to play in say, South Korea), other teams might consider that a "home field advantage"....I would. I think it's a good concept, but only if every team has one on their schedule.

NFL gives Brady/Pats an asterisk*
Prickly Pete replied to BillsInMaine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How many fewer receptions, yards, touchdowns, wins, and Super Bowls would Montana have if Jerry Rice didn't CHEAT by using Stickum? And people claim he is the best player of ALL-TIME! I think comparing it to PED's is way exaggerating the transgression, and those were individual achievements, Brady's are mostly team achievements. That stuff has been beat to death in other threads. I think we need to comb through NFL history, and start handing out more asterisks to different teams, huh? When Jerry Rice says "all players did it" he probably meant "all the players on MY team did it..." I'm sure the Bills were clean though, so we can sleep at night, with a clear conscience. -

Maybe in your bitter mind, but he hasn't fallen in Brett Favre's, Jim Kelly's, or my mind, so who really cares what guys that were already filled with resentment think? -
"Sherlock" on Netflix (and Hulu, I think)

It's early still...in 10 years this will all be a blip. Any sane person knows he is the greatest QB. -

Yeah, I feel the same way abut Jerry Rice and his stickum...I just ignore all the guys that actually competed against him, saying how great he was. -
Something to watch with regard to Marrone

Do you wish Marrone was still the Bills coach? -
Football with Built-In PSI Gauge in Development
Prickly Pete replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's a simple, better idea...let the teams inflate.the ball to whatever psi they want. Then there is no room for "controversy", and fans won't have to question if a team had an advantage. -

I think they had accrued enough talent, and the division was weak enough, that the Bills finally overcame some of their difficulties. Chan Gailey could have done it with the same team, too. Lots of crap coaches could have had a winning season with that talent to work with. see above -

And lets have an official display the ball to a camera before each play, so the audience can verify that the ball is indeed within league limits, before each snap. It's important, for the integrity of the game! -

Yeah, I don't get it. Maybe if he was a coordinator, I might be mildly interested when the Bills played them, or they were tearing up the league, but looking forward to analyzing his development of position players on some crap team? Have fun. -
A sociopath in the military...unheard of.

The press speculates on EJ's future
Prickly Pete replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have agreed on many topics in the past. I know that hurts, but it's true. This "news" is just grist for the NFL fans. I bet every team has some overblown topic jamming the news feeds of it's fans (especially New England!). Just pick a dull team say, the Carolina Panthers, and click on all the stories about them. Eventually you will be inundated with the latest topic that their fans are dwelling on. -
The press speculates on EJ's future

I think EJM (if he hasn't been told outright by Whaley/Ryan) is already operating under the impression that he has to win the job at this training camp. I don't think he is an idiot. I think this story is feed for the fans. Buffalo QB talk is guaranteed hits for any writer. -
The press speculates on EJ's future
Prickly Pete replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If EJM isn't the starter, WHO CARES if he is on the team or not? The article doesn't say he is about to be cut. Really, if he doesn't improve enough to beat the level of competition on the roster right now, I don't care what they do with him. -

Whatever search engine engine you use knows what stories you click on. If you read a couple EJ Manuel stories. it's going to send every one it can find. And writers know what is trending, so they write (or are told to write) stories on those subjects. So there is a rash of articles about "Will the Bills cut EJM?" stories right now. I haven't seen anything from the Bills about it. Bills fans are obviously very interested in the QB situation, so that is what gets written about. It feeds on itself. -

THere is nothing else to write about, so the future of EJM is probably the best way to get some clicks. The QB situation will take care of itself during training camp, not in May. -
Patriots fire Jastremski and McNally
Prickly Pete replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It doesn't make sense to fire them, unless something has been worked out between them and the Patriots. -
An impartial observer.

While I think the "scandal" aspect of this is way overblown, the Patriots denials are a complete load of crap. I hope none of the penalties are reduced. Not because I think deflating balls a bit is a big deal, but because they are arrogant d-bags.

5/13: EJ Manuel Talks Bills' QB Competition
Prickly Pete replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he just needs a little less air in the ball? -
None of it is any more ridiculous than people here wanting to strip them of the championship. It's really just the opposite side of the same coin.

I think I hate the Patriots MORE than the whiners. If there was one thing I couldn't stand, it was the self-pitying fans who would concede losses to the Patriots before the games were even played. "Those are 2 losses right off the bat", or "We need 3 more wins to make it to 10 wins, that means we have to beat Indy, KC, and and the Steelers., because you know we can't beat the Pats*" that kind of wallowing....and those same posters are the ones that are now the most extreme attackers of Brady. I'm way more interested in seeing the Bills trounce the Patriots WITH Brady, than whining about past losses, and some kind of slight advantage they might have had with a deflated ball.
