  1. I think it is the case of neither of them raising their play to a level where he forced the team to play him a lot and rely on him, but I wouldn't say it was a case of both of them being failures so we are in big touble because neither took the job.

FFS...I don't think Kelsay and Denney are failures, I just thought Kelsay was going to take the bull by the horns and end the revolving door at LDE that the Bills have had since Hanson left.

  2. Didn't you make your point earlier....

What is wrong with posters cheering for certain players to make the squad? Hoping for Lawton to make the 53 man roster or practice squad is a lot more credible than all the Jason "Slash" Peters hype that has occurred here since before training camp started and now that he is back on the practice squad, will continue. Good thing no one else gobbled him up. Now we don't have to worry that he will come back to haunt the Bills.

    Just my 2 cents!

  3. What about the LDE situation?[/b] Two starters at LDE.  They will get rotated, possibly spelling Schoebel as well.  Both have done well.

I am not sure what to make of this two headed monster at LDE. Instead of both doing well as stated by TD, is it more of a case that neither of them raised their play to the next level, so therefore the Bills will play both of them and hope for the best????

  4. It's all a case of supply and demand. All of a sudden New England has a huge waiting list for season tickets due to their success and so therefore decided to raise the ticket prices.

I am fairly sure that the prices that New England is charging would never cut it in WNY. RW is still making a pretty penny at $37 a head.

  5. Man was it interesting to watch other team's kickers during preseason.  Denver, Detroit, and Indianapolis.  The varitable triumverate of kicking excellence in today's NFL.

Add John Kasay and make it a quartet. Not only is he accurate, but he has the ability to hit the 50+ FG. In a week 2 preseason game he hit from 55 and 52 yards. The guy is money.

  6. I worry about the TBrown statements and their affect on the team...everyone expected him back, especially bledsoe...what's going on here, I wonder?

I wouldn't worry about this at all. When Milloy got cut on the eve of the opener last year, I am sure it had a much bigger impact on the Pats(after all he was a starting SS versus a backup QB) and they went on to win the SB. That's part of the game. I am sure that DB's play won't change based on whether TB is here or not.

  7. Frick!  I guess Hilton agreed to join the Bucs' practice squad.  I didn't you could do that yet!  If so, get Peters signed to it now.

You can't officially sign them to a PS contract until sometime tomorrow. I don't see anything illegal about getting verbal commitments from any players your interested in today or tonight.

  8. Why did he get kicked to the curb? All this hype about how tall and great he was.

Now he is with the new jersey giants.  Sup with that?

You answered your own question. The key word is "hype". All the reports of him being a 3rd round draft prospect who has great numbers and is scooped by the Bills as a UDFA got everyone excited. In hindsight, it was clear why he was a UDFA. Maybe he will develop some day, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over cutting him.

  9. I think Dorenbos stays and Freddie Smith gets cut.  Also I think it's a toss-up between Shelton and Lawton, and maybe between McKenzie and Ritzmann.  In each of those last 2, if the rookies don't make it, they go to the PS.  I also think Neufeld makes it over Trafford, who goes to the PS, because there isn't much experience if you have Campbell, Euhus, and Trafford.  And Sully is gone.  At least the coaches like Puke's work ethic and when you have that, there is always the possibility of future success.

The Lawton/Shelton battle is interesting. Lawton has been praised for his willingness to block and there hasn't been a lot said about Shelton. Lawton looked great throwing a lead block on WM's TD in I believe the 3rd pre-season game. Considering how little teams use a FB now a days, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lawton kept over Shelton on potential alone. I think he is up to the task.

  10. Donahow might roll the dice, figuring no one else will sign TB.  The Bills can always bring him back later once he heals.  I think Brown played well in pre-season but the numbers are too tight at other positions like safety and RB.

I didn't see any other team fighting to sign TB after the Bills agreed to an injury settlement with him last year. I don't think TD would be "rolling the dice at all". I go with Bledsoe, Matthews & Losman on the 53 man roster. I'm not sure if Zolman goes on the practice squad.

  11. The 2002 Miami highlight video is available and I am tempted to buy it, to serve as a comparison of WM pre and post injury. To my knowledge this is the only video of WM available to the public.

I thought WM looked good on his first couple of carries last night, but then seemed to be hesistant as to whether he should hit the hole as the play calls for or look for an alternative hole. This decision making seemed to be his biggest problem last night.

  12. I totally agree.  And I think one of Trafford's biggest issues is his size.  I think I read somewhere that he only weighs 230 lbs. - way too small for an NFL tight end.  And if he's done well at all in games, it's been against back up linebackers and such.  I wonder what he looks like when he goes against Fletcher and Spikes.  I could see him taking on a guy Stamer's size, but Takeo would probably break him down.

Trafford is listed at 6'3" 250 lbs. on bb.com

  13. Check this stuff out;

    Ceiling Max

You can avoid losing the height you would with a suspended ceiling, but you  maintain the ability to remove panels to access your wiring and plumbing if needed (and you will need to...).  It's about the same price, and it goes in real easy - just put up the grids, slide the panels in and use the tees.  You can use any panels that you want (2x2, 2x4, etc.).

    Good Luck!

Griz, Thanks for the suggestion. I get maximum ceiling height, access to pipes & cables & hopefully doesn't break the bank. I'm stopping at Home Depot this weekend to check it out.
