  1. There is no real deadline, other than before the season starts - I've done it as late as a week before the 1st preseason game.

Interesting. I was just wondering how much time the FO has to make a splash in order to convince STH to renew after the cluster!@#$ of a season.

  2. I have nothing but gratitude and respect for those who see to it The Wall exists and runs as effectively as it does and I am aware of sentiments regarding Spiked and Ice. Both whom I consider friends and speak with to this day. I have often wished there was a way both could co-exist better with fellow posters on wall, I miss their posts, in their time they made the wall a lively place. They are both around and very much Bills fans.

    :w00t:

  3. LB with the first pick? That tells me Buffalo might trade back into the first for a DE, granted we dont grab one in FA.

Can you imagine Maualuga & Mays on the Bills D......id take it.

I'm sick of the Bills trading up on day 1. Losman, McCargo & Poz. 2 busts and another who looks to be an average player. Stay where they are at or trade down.

  4. Hargrove 2005: 51 tackles (43 solo), 6.5 sacks, 2 passes defended, 0 turnovers

    Kelsay 2006: 61 tackles (41 solo), 5.5 sacks, 4 passes defended, 0 turnovers

Once again, I am not Hargrove's biggest fan, but you are comparing stats for one player who is a starter and one who is a reserve. Did you ever hear of comparing apples to apples instead of apples to oranges? :D

  5. Surprised by how ineffective UB's offense was. Not surprised that UB's defense was a sieve. How often does a team win the turnover battle by a 5-1 margin and lose by 18 points?

I know the MAC is not a conference of defensive powerhouses, but you have to be respectable.

That being said, a great season that hopefully Gill can build on unlike what Witherspoon did after the bball team came within a couple of seconds of the MAC championship and then was not able to use this to his recruiting advantage.

  6. Gino & Joe's in the Main Place Mall(I like the upstairs location better than downstairs) has really good thin crust pizza. If you work downtown and don't know about Gino & Joe's, you need to venture out a little more on your lunch hour.

  7. Looking at the players from this list, how many of the ones who had a 2+ mil cap hit earned their keep? There is your problem. Paying out very good contracts to mediocre players.

  8. No disrespect, but what did this guy ever do--besides wave his arms around so that the crowd would yell louder--to make anyobody think he's the least bit productive? The guy has 10.5 sacks in 57 career games, and 6.5 of those came in 5 out of 16 games in 2005. Leave out those 5 games (which clearly are the anomoly and not the norm), and you're talking about a guy that averages one sack every 13 games. Yuck.

Not that I'm a fan of bringing el pothead back, but how much playing time did he get over the 57 career games you are using to come up with your number of 1 sack for every 13 games?

I guarantee you he would be more productive at DE than the "next" great white hope, Chris Kelsay.

  9. Did either Slaton or Forte split carries w/ a back that got an additional 200 carries and ran for 773 yards and 15 TDs? Considering he wasn't hording all the carries, that makes the season Johnson ended up having all the more impressive. He didn't have to whine 'bout the process, but he does have reason to believe he should've won the award.

Rookie of the Year voting should not take into account what a player MIGHT have done if he got more playing time.
