  1. Very interesting find. I'm not sure how much pull it gives anyone just because you have the same agent. But hey, worth a look into if we do wind up with Kelly
  2. I have to say Manning. He is the ultimate field general. He is a student of the game and has the credentials, skills and attitude to back it up. He makes everyone around him a way better player. Not to say any of these other guys are bums but Manning is just unreal. Love watching him play.
  3. OP, I agree 100% with your take on LB. Especially Sheppard. Bradham hasn't had the opportunity to show what he has because of poor play by K.Moore (IMO). I'd hate to see the Bills stretch for a QB in the first...smells like a wasted pick. As far as Tight Ends, I never have seen this kid play. From what I've seen in this footage: -He seems to position block instead of driving people off of the ball. -Stands straight up and plays high at times -Good release off LOS, seems to run well in space Not sold on this guy but that's just from this footage. Do you know more about him? Personally, I like Travis Kelce out of Cincinnati. He seems like a player who could fall farther than expected and would love to see a guy like him on our side.
  4. McCoy fits much better as an OC, agreed. Your take on Vick is interesting, but i'd hate to see the Bills go after him. A.Smith could fit for a few years while we get a project QB later in the draft or next years draft. I really can't say i'm thrilled by the QB's in this years draft. If i'm GM, i'm only drafting a QB if he falls greater than expected. Improve on Defense should be our main concern along with getting a more stable offense (yes, I know a stable offense involves a good QB!)
  5. Made my Day I agree. Bring in some top notch candidates. Even if they're not that realistic, it is good to shop around, see what is out there and use these guys as bench marks for assessing other talent.
  6. I can respect what you're saying about experts, their opinions, prototypical NFL QB, etc. I do like the idea of a mobile QB who can make plays with his legs when need be. That said, I don't want a guy who relies on his legs, too quick to scramble or puts himself at risk. I don't know much about Boyd. But I do believe he would be a stretch in the first round at best. I think it would be a wasted pick. I agree with a lot of people on here about beefing up our defense in the first couple rounds and then trying to land a QB who we can build around later in the draft, or possibly next year.
  7. I liked Chan as a HC but he clearly needed help calling plays. I don't put our defensive flaws on him but in the end, he didn't get the job done. Can't say i'm sad to see him go, but he was a class act and wish him the best in his next opportunity.
  8. I'd like to see Fred and CJ on the field at the same time more often. It really opens up our offense and alleviates some pressure. Chip Kelly would do a good job of this. However, I fear bringing someone without NFL experience in.
  9. Great player. Love his attitude and ferocity. Set the tone for many up and coming players. He will go down as one of the best LB's in NFL history.
  10. Interesting post. I'm curious to what stats the management would key in on. In baseball it is pretty straight forward how they did it. On base percentage all the way. In football i don't think it is so cut and dry. What stat do you use? YAC, competition percentage, etc.? A cool idea but I think football is too complex of a sport that makes this system insignificant. I'd love to see if someone could figure out a system to weigh potential based on stats in football. Personally, I don't think it can be done. The intangibles that makes up this great sport is something that separates players at every position. How do you quantify this? I believe he is referring to the assessment of talent as opposed to the financial aspect.
  11. I can agree with a lot of what you're saying. Barnett better pack his bags. However, don't close the book on Bradham and Sheppard. They are in no way pro bowlers but both of these guys have a nose from the ball and can add depth to a weak defense. We can all hope on Andy, but i fear u may be right. And as far as safety, if we really need one, let me know, I'm open all season!
  12. That'd be a stretch at best...i.e. another wasted pick. Just win baby.
  13. Watching the game now. Interested in watching Rodgers play. Could be a guy picked up after the draft and see what he has.
  14. Don't think you're that crazy. I like the idea of taking a look at him. I do think you would need to bring in an offensive mind to assist him. Wish he was more vocal however.
  15. Agreed. I will never complain about a Bills victory. Be happy.
  16. Bowe is one of many talented free agent wide receivere. Not only will this drive his price down, but coming off of IR will also affect his stock. He won'tbe cheap, but with the productivity this guy had this year, I don't see him breaking the bank unless someone is willing to overpay.
