  1. New qb coach , vet backup and line help this year. If Ej dosent progress you take a first rounder in 2015
  2. 8-8 or 9-7 is more realistic Just might be good enough for a wildcard at 9-7 Go Buffalo!!!
  3. Buffalo cause's four New Orleans turnovers and wins the game 27-21
  4. The Bills rank 28th in the league against the rush this year so far.. (Per NFL.com) That's hard to believe as they have been in every game. The scheme will take some time to implement, I look for this stat to improve over time especially now that the secondary is healthy... We will be drafting a BEAST next year to plug some of these holes.. Just think what the Bills will become once they shore that up.. GO BUFFALO !!!>>>>>>
  5. Could this work? Maybe Legursky at right gaurd? Thoughts?
  6. This should be tops on Russ Brandon's to-do list. Signing Eric Wood is a promising signal , i only hope we can lock Pettine down for three years or so....
  7. ^Finally someone is speaking the truth.. If we were ahead by 7 then I could see slowing down a bit
  8. Jairus Byrd believed to be open to Buffalo Bills trade Dan Hanzus Around the League Writer +Follow on Twitter SHARE Jairus Byrd's decision to sign his franchise tender got him in training camp. Putting pen to paper didn't alleviate all issues, however. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that "ill will remains" between Byrd and the Buffalo Bills. The two-time Pro Bowl free safety isn't demanding a trade but is believed to be open to one, according to a person informed of Byrd's thinking. The expectation is that it will take several weeks for Byrd to get in playing shape. He'll be "extra careful," according to Rapoport. Teammates did send Byrd plays and notes during his holdout. Byrd reportedly is looking for a deal that would make him the highest-paid safety in football. The Bills would like to keep him in Buffalo, but they believe his value falls somewhere in the top five salaries at the position. The deadline for working out a long-term contract with a player under the franchise tag passed on July 15, so Byrd won't financially be appeased between now and the end of the season. The lingering bad blood is a subplot to track out of Orchard Park. The "Around The League Podcast" is now available on iTunes! Click here to listen and subscribe.
  9. Reports are saying there is bad blood between him and the front office. So do we trade him or keep him? If we would make a trade what would you expect for compensation?
  10. This is definitely a new era of Bills football... Great post! High hopes this year my friends!
  11. I don't know if anybody has posted this yet.. I hope they come out and kick some a$$ this year!!
  12. I read an article that I will try and link later that said Pettine's defense may have less sacks than last year's group yet instead have more QB pressures.. I am not worried too much about stats as long we are competitive.. Even if they do not get a sack week one it would be worth it seeing Brady running for his life and being forced to make mistakes.. - update Here is the actual article Because new Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine employs an aggressive, attack-first defense, fans have assumed that the Bills' sack totals will soar through the roof in 2013. Then again, the Bills finished with 36 sacks a year ago, while the New York Jets - Pettine's former team - had just 30. "Sacks, to me, have always been a little bit elusive when you're a pressure defense," Pettine told BuffaloBills.com in an interview published this morning. "I think the ball tends to come out a little bit sooner. We've actually timed it, gone to the tape and timed it. We've always felt that the ball came out, on average, much quicker against us than it did against a lot of other teams just because of the perceived threat of pressure." Pressure, Pettine says, is what helps a defense compete in the NFL, even against elite-level competition. "To me, what's more important is how much did we affect the quarterback this game? One of the first times we ever went against New England in New York, the first game in the 2009 season, I think we pressured Tom Brady over 20 times - we physically got a hand on him, knocked him down, whatever it was - over 20 times," Pettine explained. "Never got a sack, but to me, that was a game where we felt he was constantly under pressure, and it affected him, we thought, late in the game. That's what we're more looking for - how much can we affect the quarterback?" Only once in Pettine's four-year run as Jets defensive coordinator did his defense finish with more sacks than the 36 the Bills put up last year (the Jets had 40 in 2010). Bills fans can clearly expect an uptick in pressures per game, but our question for you is this: are you still expecting more sacks than the 36 the team had a year ago?
  13. With Russell Wilson ranking 51 and a few other rookies making the list it is not impossible that EJ could crack the top 100 next year. Personally if we could win a championship within 5 years I don't care about a list. Just a topic for banter..
  14. 9-7 this year and 10-6 next year in route to a Super Bowl victory! One can dream
  15. This new regime is a 180 from gailey n co. Love this pick! Finally a potential franchise qb!! Welcome to Buffalo EJ!!
  16. If its not a qb at 8 then they should trade back a couple spots...
  17. Trade back out of #8 pick up Nassib and extra picks. If he dosent work out we have next years #1 for another qb..
