In order for this to be significant, Ben (or whoever is leading Ben) would have to be in absolute control of everyone's fate. OTOH, it might be possible for the survivors to completely change the course of their lives by making as few as one decision all on their own. Maybe Sayid's advice to Hugo was ultimately accurate....listen to whatever Ben tells you, then do the opposite. I'm sure Ben is behind it somehow.

You know, I may be stating the obvious, but this time travel hooey really puts a wrinkle in the plot and I'm not sure that I welcome it. I mean, anything that we've seen can be theoretically reversed ......completely, like it never happened. Anyone who we thought was dead can come back. Entire issues that had been resolved could open themselves right back up again. Who knows, but the finale of the show could wind up being us watching a plane full of people flying past the island, landing in the US and going about their lives like the whole thing never happened.
