I think the rate that Mike Williams fatigued was disproportionate to everyone else on the O-line. He started to get sloppy too early for my liking and you could tell that he was really sucking wind. The optimist in me says that this will be the worst of it. I just wish he had been participating in camp from the start.

So, what part are you sick of...the interception or the way he was on Smith like glue on the long pass? Come to think of it I don't remember him getting beat on any other passes. Maybe I wasn't watching close enough? We need to get over it. Clements HAD GOOD COVERAGE on Smith. 99% of the coaches would love to have a corner that could stick that close to an opposition's #1 Pro Bowl receiver. He just didn't get his head around in time to react. Smith is a very good player. He made a great catch. Isn't anyone able to give him some credit? If it was Moulds or Evans making the same play then everyone would be singing their praises.

Impressions regardless of outcome.... Positive: - TH looked like his regular season self...bowling over defenders and breaking tackles - McGahee IS CLOSE. He showed the patience and then burst of speed that made him deadly at UofM. - Josh Reed caught his first pass (and others). We will not be having any sort of mental block with him. - Evans showed good hands on his catches and awareness to clean up Campbell's mess. - Offensive line looked about as good as I hoped and will only get better (barring injuries) - IZELL!!! No big deal, but interceptions are hard to come by in this secondary. - Exceptional run coverage for the most part by the defense. - Spikes absolutely mauled the rookie WR who had been jabbering away all day at the Buffalo D. He'll think twice next week. - Clement's had exceptional coverage all day as far as I could see. On the 4th and 14 he was on Smith like mold. Smith is a great reciever and a good catch is a good catch. Bills fans need to accept that. Negative: - Coy Wire playing too close to the line of scrimmage. He bites on the playfakes too hard. I thought Milloy was aggressive, but Wire bites beyond recovery. I've been a fan of his since he got here, but I am starting to lean towards keeping him on ST and giving Baker a shot at backing up Lawyer. - Too much Steve Spurrier...not enough Joe Gibbs. Too many throw away plays (offense). Contrary to popular opinion, I don't think we played conservative enough. I still have a lingering fear of Mularkey's gadget plays from back in Pitt, which I honestly feel is what held the Steelers back from further success (that and the Steeler secondary). - Bobby Shaw still runs his mouth too much on the field (more of a pet peeve) - Shelton. I didn't really see good or bad from him. As a matter of fact I didn't notice him much at all. I doubt that is a good thing. - TEs were almost a non-factor. It's a wonder that we were able to run a short yardage "conservative" offense without significant contribution from the TEs. - We should have taken a couple of shots downfield. IMO this isn't contrary to a conservative offense...its just good common sense. - EDIT: I had to also add that I thought that Mike Williams was worn down by the 4th quarter and didn't look too sharp once his energy had left him. That's it for now...

Just be grateful that Tasker was doing the analysis instead of the play-by-play. You want pain? Listen to Tasker stumble and bumble his way through a game like he did w/o Criqui in the preseason.

As mad as I am, I think this was a BIG

I can't agree that the playcalling was good. We had at least one "throw away" play every 4 downs. The theme for today was 2 steps forward - 3 steps back. The good news is that I am optimistic that these poor plays will work themselves out of the playbook soon and we will continue to gel. -
Game still in progress. Not really trying to make a point...just FYI. I thought that Vincent played well.

Why aren't there any combination kicker/punters in the NFL? Seems like it would be a good way to free up a roster spot if you could have one person cover both duties. I realize that placekicking and punting are distinctly different, but if a player decides to dedicate a good part of his life mastering kicking a piece of swine don't you think that with a little time and effort it would be something that could be reasonably accomplished? We have atheletes who can play more than one sport professionally, play both offense and defense positions, and multiple skill positions on one side of the ball....but no one can find a kicker that can both punt and kick? Seems weird to me.

Same here. I would give my left one to see the Rams beat them this year (although not likely). The fact that I would get behind Martz on any level really says something about my dislike for the Patsies.

I'd hate to admit it, but the play where Brady rolled out to the right and threw across his body to the left sideline made my jaw drop. I had categorized him as a strictly 'dink and dunk' QB till that play.

"All I can say is WOW! Some of you guys really don't have a clue. It is always the QBs fault. LOL! Peyton let the weakside blitz come through uncontested." ------ Yes, as a matter of fact he alone enabled the sack by moving his blockers to the weak side. AND, the blitz was from the strong side. Did YOU watch the game? "Peyton missed the field goal too. " ------ No, but the yards lost as a result of his audible dramatically decreased the chance of hitting the field goal. "All Peyton did was create opportunity for his team to win." ------ You are correct. It isn't fair to put the loss on his shoulders alone. As a matter of fact, you could say that Edge also created several opportunities to win despite his fumbling.

I think most of us would (and should) want Manning....at the right price. No QBs wallet is worth undermining the goal of the entire team. If Bledsoe has 1/2 as productive season as Manning will then Bledsoe starts to look like quite a bargain doesn't he?
-
The choke occurred when he stupidly audibled his blockers to the weak side when McGinnest was clearly blitzing from the strong side, leaving him completely vulnerable. I've said for years now that despite Manning's obvious talent, he needs an OC to reel him and his football ego in.

Mike Ricci will be wearing #40 for the Phoenix Coyotes this season in memory of Pat Tillman. That is...if there is NHL hockey this season.

Henry off-tackle, strong side, 1 yard out.

Just watched the press conference. This seems to be 99% political and red tape. I guess that's what you get for trying to build bridges between nations. Apparently the politicians would rather make money from the company enabling this all to happen rather than from the tourists. -
Nice work. BTW, was the "lisp" created by your spelling of "garthia" intentional?

Sorry guys but we are NOT better than the Jets yet. Despite the pillaging they took from the Skins. Here's hoping that all turns around this season. -
WOOHOO!!! Thanks Scott, for everything....and I mean everything. We're cookin' with gas now. Shucks, I didn't even need to log back in.

Better hit the waiver wire....Elling got cut by the Vikes. Morton Anderson is their new kicker.

(OT Fantasy) if you had manning and Brady..

Start Manning. No way the refs are going to allow the Colt receivers to get mugged like last season. -
I can't believe the classless yankee fans calling

Yeah, those damn Yankees have the only fans that are unreasonable about their home team. And on a moronic radio talk show no less!
