  1. 1. Peterman was a 5th round pick

    2. Many QBs show well in preseason

    3. Cardale was a 4th round pick and isn't being mentioned

    4. You can NEVER have too many good QBs, especially on rookie deals.

    + 1

    PLus: Buffalo isn't going ANYWHERE with Tayor or the 4th or 5th pick this year or last... Management is well aware of this, even if some on this board aren't

    Draft away -> 2018 1st round QB!

    It's been so long since the Bills had any winning Qb play, I really think some people have forgotten when good QB play looks like. Me too maybe...

    Don't think we need to fear that

    LOL. Yeah, that's1 thing I'm not going to be staying awake worrying aboot!

  2. Depends what you wish for. You want a few more yards/game with another 8, 10, 12 INT per year? TT protects the ball as good as any QB in the league.

    Any other defense beside the Ryan's that is a recipe for 10+ wins.

    Be careful what you wish for.

    Yeah, except that the Bills were 30th in passing yards/game this year and 1st in rushing yards/game: the formula of having a QB who can't throw the ball doesn't work that well anymore.

    TT also lead the league in SACKS.

  3. Based on his college performance, pre-season performance, and week 17 performance. He has horrendous accuracy. Watch his so-called "great" games at OSU. WRs making tremendous plays on underthrown balls all over the place. He never hits anyone in stride. He underthrows guys open by 5 yards so much that the WR has to make a great catch over the DB who was able to catch up to them. The only reason they had any success was because teams were stacking the box vs Elliot and WRs made tremendous plays. There is a reason he lost his starting job.

    makes you wonder exactly WHAT Whaley was seeing....

  4. Bills pass less often than any of the other 31 teams in the NFL. When they do, Tyrod Taylor prefers to use check-downs, sideline passes and deep shots -- as opposed to the places where a TE usually runs his routes (down the seam or over the middle). In my estimation, that makes Charles Clay the #3 option (at best) behind Sammy Watkins and Lesean McCoy. On a team that doesn't pass much, the #3 option isn't going to make big stats.

    To some, Clay is probably the worst contract the Bills have given out. But in reality, his average salary ($7.6 million) isn't really much worse than where most of the guys at his level should be getting paid. Yes, he is getting paid like a Top #5 TE. But if you go down to the #15 TE by average salary, you find Vance McDonald at ($6.5 million). At #20, you find Antonio Gates ($5.5 million). If the guy is overpaid by #1-2 million per year, I think I can live with that.

    Excellent points. Excellent post IMO.

    Thank you.

    Clay STAYS!!

  5. ....agree 100%.....they're pinning their hopes on a healthy Sammy and backfilling with inexpensive FA pickups hoping either they shine or one of the kids still on the roster does.....Listenbee (WR) or Thomas (TE) come to mind......can't see spending MORE money or a 1st on receiving corp until TT demonstrates he can process the field in allotted time and find receivers open which has NOT happened so far IMO........

    + 100

    BINGO.

  6. I was very excited when the Bills signed Charles Clay two ago, however doesn't seem to make many big plays.

    He is always playing hurt with a chronic knee condition, which probably limits him, and T.T.'s inability to throw over the middle probably

    doesn't help.

    Bills are paying him a lot $9 Mil cap hit this year per Spotrac..

    Averaging 3.5 receptions / game.

    Receptions to target is 65 %. Seems pretty low.

  7. On paper these last few years, we may have had the most talent on this roster since the Super Bowl teams. Unfortunately we don't have number 12 behind center.

    It always comes down to QB. I would draft one this year in first 3 rounds just to have another option if Tyrod doesn't finally step up.

    However you are only as good as your QB in this league and if things continue not to workout at that position. Whaley has to go.

    :mellow::cry::D

    Dude, stop....

    PLZ.

  8. You think if we asked the rest of the league nicely to let us draft a QB, a WR or two,a TE, a RT, a CB, a DT to replace Kyle, and a safety or two they'd feel sorry for us and let us have them? If we asked really nicely?

    Yeah....

    I think we are starting to really see what Whaley can do as G.M.
