  1. I wish the Bills over the past 20 years had been in such a rush to FIND greatness! QB...
  2. Was looking up QB stats, comp past LOS, and average yards traveled / attempt, and others. Found this very interesting with all the attention the "first 3 games" stats post has received. "To accomplish this, we’re using a pair of statistics. One is aDOT and the other is an adjusted version of completion percentage (aC%)*. *aC% = (Completions + Drops – NFL average drop rate) / (Pass Attempts – Spikes – Throwaways – Batted Balls – Balls disrupted by a QB hit)" https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/02/23/2014-depth-adjusted-completion-percentage/
  3. Which seemed to always leave the Bills in 3 / long situations forced to throw: Which generally didn't work out well...
  4. Oi! Good point. I do think the Bills benefited from a soft schedule AND very few major injuries to starters last year. Both of those things could change.
  5. 'DaDay - Very nice. Thank you. I hope you would post observations more often. It will be interesting to see, if Marrone could get 9 wins out of this team with essentially NO QB, what can Ryan do? There was no excuse for that loss and horrible play calling, scheme and game plan, adjustments. Maybe Hackett was on the way out anyway and Marrone just took the money and ran??
  6. Huh. Looks at weeks 3,4,5,6. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/15803/year/2013/ej-manuel
  7. I love the drama, and don't have any love for Dallas, Jerry Jones, OR Dez Bryant. HOLD OUT STUD!!!!
  8. Well, it sounds like Darby already has the basics, "good feel, and use of hands" which Leodis lacks. http://www.billsdaily.com/draft/ 2) CB Ronald Darby, Florida St. 5-11, 193, 4.38 - Has world class speed and is solid in coverage. Not a big playmaker with just 2 interceptions in college. Good in the back pedal. Not physical enough in run support. Has room to grow but must improve his run support. Great timing with good recognition and gets a good jump on the ball. Good feel and use of hands as he is technically sound. Good weight distribution, slightly shorter than you would like.
  9. That is probably true, but I mean, how much technique is to be taught re: when and where to put your hands up in the air?
  10. McLuvin knows what to do with hims legs, just not his arms or hands!
  11. Reading another thread, and poster stated P. Harvin has a lot to prove: which he does. Pulled an article and stats. Basically, the guy is with his 4th team in 4 years. Issue: yes. Cheap: IDK, I think they signed him very cheap and no guaranteed $? Rex obviously thinks they can use him, but how and where are they going to get him the ball? http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-percy-harvin-saga-how-seattle-lost-and-the-jets-won/ http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/12569/percy-harvin
  12. Huh... ? WHAT running game? And yes... we are MUCH better at Qb than N.E. Discuss....
  13. Right. They seemed to give him the ball between the tackles a lot, and that just isn't where he's ever going to be effective. Vision is an issue too I believe, even sometimes in the open field.
  14. I read in several place/accounts that the Bills O-line just wasn't suited for the type of plays the O wanted to run. Huge O linemen that couldn't move well.
  15. 2013 - above average overall, spectacular SACK and INT totals. Only 13 overall in points/game. Pettine selling out get great stats and HC job? Which he did... http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&offensiveStatisticCategory=null&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=1&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=TOTAL_YARDS_GAME_AVG&tabSeq=2&season=2013&role=OPP&Submit=Go&archive=true&conference=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=GAME_STATS&qualified=false 2014 - elite stats. 4th in yards/game AND point/game. Vast improve. 1st in NFL sacks. 6th INTs. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&offensiveStatisticCategory=null&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=1&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=TOTAL_YARDS_GAME_AVG&tabSeq=2&season=2014&role=OPP&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=GAME_STATS&qualified=false Much better overall, no comparison IMO, with the Schwartz!! If Ryan and staff mess around too much with their 4-3 hybrid, there could be a big drop-off.
  16. Run D http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&offensiveStatisticCategory=null&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=1&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=RUSHING_YARDS_PER_GAME_AVG&tabSeq=2&season=2014&role=OPP&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=RUSHING&qualified=false
  17. Yikes, what a horrible game. FYI: Spiller had 4 carries for -4 yards and 1 fumble: SUPER STAR. Buffalo had a total of 13 net rushing yards and gave up like 140. nice game plan against one of the worst teams in the league. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2014122110/2014/REG16/bills@raiders?icampaign=GC_schedule_rr#menu=gameinfo|contentId%3A0ap3000000447909&tab=analyze&analyze=boxscore
  18. Beautiful. Thank you. So much for Buffalo Bills "analytics"!!!!
