  1. Even that defense was awesome. Bennett was all over the field, we had 4 or 5 picks. Lots of heat from the front 7 even with a severly hobbled Bruce Smith barely able to push off a bad knee. KC's coordinators in the game: Defense - Bill Cowher Offense - Joe Pendry The passion of the fans... Man I miss that. Thurman could do it all. Good times
  2. Because Jerry Jones is a very powerful owner and he didn't want to lose his traditional rivalries when they shuffled the divisions.

  6. I remember a 10-5 loss to the 3-10 Tampa Bay Bucs in week 14 (we were 11-2 I believe) which eventually cost the Bills home-field advantage in 1988. But the worst was this one: Sunday Dec 7 1975 Bills at dolphins Bills go down 21-0 but close gap to 24-21. Late in 4th, Miami runner fumbles at fish 43 yd line. Bills DE Pat Toomay goes for the ball. Refs blow play dead and flag Toomay for bumping into referee. Don Nottingham runs 56 yards to the 1 on the next play, then Norm Bulaich scores on the next play to knock the Bills out of the playoffs and continue the Bills 0 fer the 70s against the fish. Ralph Wilson looses it post-game and is heavily fined for criticizing the refs.

  18. I've gotta say that they were the hit of last year's bash and am glad they're willing to do it again.
  19. Another OJ factor: Unlike Thurman, who had a HOF QB and (maybe two) HOF receivers, OJ did not have the benefit of a passing game to keep defenses honest. Joe Ferguson was a rookie QB who threw barely 15 passes a game. The receivers were JD Hill and Bob Chandler who struck fear into nobody. Everyone knew what was coming, and the fact that OJ did what he did was all the more impressive.
