  1. I really think your point is extreme.

tom Brady is arguably the best quarterback ever to play and NE on top of that has way more talent/better coaching than the Bills.

so basically the bills just got to add more talent, and find one of the best qbs/coaches of all time and then they'll start winning more?..

And it takes  more than just a great QB. If you don't believe me, look at the saints record the past couple years

I know it sounds kind of crazy but if I was the colts, I might Trade luck. Get a Kings ransom for him. Then also trade out of my own real high pick with one of the teams wanting to jump up for a qb. Get a ton of picks for that. Keep Brissett, fire Pagano and let the new coach start over with a ton of great picks and Brissett and TY. Probably would be better off.

Hmm no way I would trade Luck. I know he has injury problems but he's a stud and I don't even think he has reached his full potential yet

They both lost their appeal a long time ago. I have a friend who won't go to a game and mute's the TV after a score because the shout song has been playing so long that it's like fingernails on a chalkboard to him. For me it's the train whistle. I can't stand it. Some people love it. I like what the Steelers do. When they get a first down, someone gets on the PA and says "And That's Another Pittsburgh Steelers............." and the crowd yells in unison "FIRST DOWN!" it gets the crowd to participate and stay involved.

The Bills fans would only have to finish the sentence of "That's another Buffalo Bills.... First Down" about 8-12 times per game.

They definitely wouldn't be losing their voice, that's for sure

The Bills should play the shout song every time they get a first down. Getting just a first down seems like a big accomplishment for this horrible offence

It makes you wonder about tons of young NFL players. Think of all the guys who cite depression as the reason they act out and fail drug tests due to smoking marijuana. Maybe it's not all their fault.

Chris Henry the former Bengals WR had CTE. He had numerous off the field issues.

Aaron Hernandez had one of the worst cases of CTE for someone his age. Everyone knows his story.

Josh Gordon has been a mess off the field. What if he has it?

Marcel Dareus? Considering the position he plays and his style, would anyone doubt him having it?

When 90% of the people studied have CTE, it really makes you wonder how much it affects some of the NFLs players who have had constant off the field behavioural issues.

Ya you make all good points

This is sad to hear about Larry. He was a boss.

unfortunately I suspect that the majority of high level football players have head trauma or CTE

i lost my collegiate career because of concussions and know what constant head trauma can do

depression, migraines, mood swings, anger , confusion.

I am definitely going to donate my brain when I pass because I would like my family to know if there is any trauma or CTE which I suspect

Sorry to hear buddy! Hope things improve for you

And it's only going to get worse for him. As he prophesizes, he probably won't know his own name when he's 50.

These stories are going to become more and more common as players from the 90s and 2000s begin to die in their 40s and 50s.

As more and more of these stories surface, football participation will inevitably decline.

    Ya that's really scary.

I really paid attention to the Aaron Hernandez story all the way to his death.

After reading about him being diagnosed with stage 4 CTE, I really wonder how much that influenced his psychotic behaviour. (Obviously still no excuse to kill people)

    Any questions for my source

I appreciate any info you post here regardless of what some people say. I am sure a lot feel the same way. Thank you for all of this and thank you for continuing  to post.

He better not, but that's the talk right now....  Anything over18- 20 and I have no interest at all.  Honesty I don't have much interest in him at all no matter what.  Draft a god one and don't tie big money into someone that's barely above average.  We can find a QB in the draft that can be just as good, if not much better for a lot less on a rookie deal.

He's for sure going to get over 20.

I agree that I wouldn't pay him 25 a year, but he will get well over that 18 to 20 range 100 percent

I wasn’t aware this discussion was only for praise and agreement.

Never once said that, but there's a way to respectfully question him opposed to being an arse hole to the guy. I am not saying you are/aren't because I haven't read your posts in this thread, but for sure a few people are.

Just sucks for everyone who enjoyed his info because doesn't seem like he will be sharing much anymore

Thats the thing, some of what he’s saying is common knowledge and isn’t it really anything you need an inside source to know. Plus if you cover your bases with as many possibilities as he’s giving then you are bound to get something right.

My argument is, if you don't believe him why is it necessary to call him out on it? Why not just go to the next thread and ignore what he is saying?

Because there are a lot of posters like myself who are very interested in what he has to say, and now because of posters calling him out/attacking him, he doesn't want to post anymore. And I can't say I blame him

I don't know on Cousins.  I keep thinking back to week 17 Redskins vs Giants last year where he threw the pick in the end zone, which ended the game and the Redskins chances of making the playoffs.  Maybe Cousins learned and moved on from that, but maybe not.  Just seems like he's kind of a risk and not worth what he'll be commanding as far as salary.

I'm with you on that. I think he is an above average QB, but I don't think I would pay him 25-28 mil per year or whatever the rate is now.

He makes beautiful throws but has flaws in his game. The first one that comes to mind is untimely interceptions

    Dunkirk Don?

You do realize that nobody on here knows who the heck you are....right? If you're going to enter a chat room and then demand respect and recognition of your self proclaimed authority you may need to slow down a bit.

Keep posting Don.  It's only a chat room for heavens sake!

He's probably frustrated because he's trying to do us a favour by sending us juicy info and people are just ripping on him.

If what he's saying is true, I would be pissed as well and wouldn't bother posting anymore

I'm not saying it's going to die anytime soon, but think about how much advancement there's been in NFL head injuries over the past 10 years and how it's affected the game, and imagine what things are going to look like in 50 years.

My guess is we're going to have a generation of players from the 90s and 2000s dying early due to CTE. It's going to become a full fledged epidemic among NFL players, and as the scientific research behind the affects of playing football gets more worrying, participation will continue to decline and eventually you'll have such a poor product on the field viewers will turn their attention elsewhere.

As I said, the NFL has nothing that's going to make more people play the game, which is pretty much the opposite of every other pro league in North America. Basketball is growing, baseball is growing (they also don't compete against anything in the summer months), hockey is growing, soccer is growing. The NFL on the other hand is losing market share, and I don't see anything that's going to turn that around.

I hear your points but I respectfully disagree. Everyone who plays football now knows the danger of playing football. Its not a secret anymore.

Like I said, do I think there will be a decline in kids playing? Probably, ya. Because to your point, I'm sure more research will be done to illustrate the dangers.

But I don't think it's going to come close to jeopardizing the sport.

As long as we continue to watch, and as long as million dollar contracts are given out to these players, I think the NFL will always have a massive waiting list of people who would do anything to make it pro.

  13. Just now, jrober38 said:

I'm not sure that tons of kids will always want to play.

At some point common sense will prevail and parents will force their kids into other sports.

There may be a decline but there will still be tons.

Think about it even now. If one person quit the NFL, there would literally be thousands and thousands of people who would push their own grandma down the stairs to take his spot.

Do you think perhaps that his conservative coaching approach may be a reflection of his personnel, most specifically on offense?  His QB for example is regarded as a game manager who takes care of the football.  I would contend that his gameplans are less of a reflection of him as a coach, and more of what he has to work with.

As some have stated...I’m interested to see how he does with a real QB and some additional pieces.

It's possible. He is a defensive coach though and defensive head coaches generally lean towards the conservative side. Not all the time but most of the time.

Well let's just hope they draft their guy in next year's draft and get a competent offensive coordinator to develop the young QB
