But your point was “Josh has 3 bad losses, Mahomes only has 2”. Did you not watch Mahomes against Jacksonville, Denver a few weeks back and the jets? He was bad in all 3 games… I think Josh deserves his criticism. Especially the jets loss. My point is EVERY single great QB has bad losses this year. Some get bailed out by their defence more than others and measuring QB success purely on W/L is silly IMO
-
So we are just measuring QBs success on losses? Once again, he had the game winning drive against NE. But the defence could not slow down the worst offence in the NFL. Mahomes was also bad in multiple wins this year, including scoring just 17 points a few weeks ago against Denver. And Mahomes was absolutely awful against the jets a few weeks ago It’s a team game sir

That’s literally apples to oranges and doesn’t line up with my point at all, respectfully. It was a division opponent on the road, and while the offence wasn’t good, Josh came Up clutch when it mattered the most. elite QBs not playing their A game on the road against division opponents is pretty common. (Mahomes vs Denver today, Lamar against pitts, burrow vs Cleveland) The list goes on I feel sometimes we just look at it from a “bills lense”

Jets game was on him. Pats game he didn’t play great but at the end of the day he had 2 TD drives in the 4th quarter and gave them the lead. Great QBs always have those kinda games, where they struggle but come up clutch in the 4th. That is on the defence to stop the worst offence in the NFL with 1:50 to go

Ya I definitely think Bernard is an upgrade over Tremaine already. For me it comes down to one main thing between the two.. Instincts. Bernard seems to have a nose around the ball, where Tremaine just doesn’t -

True, I definitely think that’s accurate about his pre game narratives. Overall I’m not a fan of him. But I do think he’s very good in breaking down plays in a small amount of time. (When he doesn’t have his homer glasses on) -
Give him a couple more years, he’s still learning the position

I find collingsworth is good when he doesn’t have the man crush. Like when it’s with Mahomes or Cincinnati, he’s brutal. But as an analyst, he’s actually pretty good -
How does this guy make 18 million? I’ve watched him closely so far this game and he hasn’t came close to making one impact play

Kind of where I’m at. If Miami beats them next week, Miami is going to have a good shot at the 1 seed -
I read it. You are saying the bills are wasting Josh Allen because of Ken Dorsey. Correct?
-
There are about 20 fire Ken Dorsey threads this could have been placed in lol
-
Offence has to close it out on 3rd down, agreed But you have to punt that ball on 4th. Under 0 circumstances should an offence go 80-90 yards in 20 seconds with 0 timeouts. (Which they didn’t)
-
That’s just one play on 3rd down though, it makes sense why they would be trying to get a first down there. It definitely seemed like there was more running/short passes when it was 24-10. I could be wrong. But Something/someone was conservative. I doubt Josh Allen was haha , as he’s usually the opposite of that.
-
Ok so you agree he’s in on the game plan. The game plan definitely changed the last 25 minutes or so, agreed? So why do you feel like he wasn’t in on that part of the game plan when things were obviously more conservative? If it were up to Dorsey, I’m sure he would want to keep attacking as he’s the OC and he wants to put up as many points as possible
-
I don’t know if you read the article, but there is literally a quote in there saying: “McDermott and Dorsey have both admitted that the head coach is getting his fingers on the game plan in the offense”
-
https://billswire.usatoday.com/2023/10/24/ken-dorsey-sean-mcdermott-input-buffalo-bills-offense-nfl/ Both McDermott and Dorsey admitted before the game that McDermott has his fingerprints in on the offence.
-
I agree with all you said there. But do you think it was Dorsey or McDermott who stopped attacking? I personally think Mcd has his fingerprints a lot on this offence. (Having a “balanced” offence, not letting josh run, don’t turn the ball over, get conservative late in games etc)
-
This is kind of where I’m at. I am a McDermott critic but I thought his game management was great Thursday When it’s 4th and 2 plus and you’re up 14 in the 4th, you punt in those spots especially when Tampas offence is horrible. And even if it was 4th and inches there, you still punt it and make Baker go 80-90’yards in 20 seconds with 0 timeouts..
-
Is it actually? I didn't even know that. What is it AC joint sprain? (Grade 1?) I thought Deshaun had a subscap tear, unless thats a new injury for him
-
Great post until the bolded^ The man is gutting out a shoulder injury and still is in the MVP conversation.
-
Do you think the offense was better yesterday?
BillsFan130 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Way better. Just took the gas off the Pedel too much the last 25 minutes. I hope to see a lot of 11 personnel/up tempo going forward
