  1. The Bengals are in decline. They look worse every week, lucky to get by a weak Jaguars team (who, granted, beat the Browns for their only win). I can't see them getting 9 wins at this rate, but we'll see what happens. I hope the Browns get their shot at the playoffs this year, but not at our expense. I don't think they are particularly great on either side of the ball, but they are on the upswing. My only concern is Josh Gordon returning. They might be developing some momentum here.
  2. It's fun to see other teams' fans talk about our team the way we talk about their's.
  3. Agreed. This was one of the big thing's about Luck's rookie season. He wasn't spectacular all game, but he engineered several game winning drives. And we've seen him develop more these past two seasons. Winning is winning. Orton is a seasoned vet, so the comparison to Luck isn't quite apples-to-apples, but my point was that anyone would look at the Colts first year with Luck and call it a success, even though we saw a lot of questionable decisions from him.
  4. AJ Green dropped that one on purpose, right? Useless throw on third down by Dalton, nowhere for Green to go.
  5. They were saying Gresham pulled up on the route. What do you guys think?
  6. The bigger issue is that expanding to even more teams waters down the quality of competition. Plus, a team in London has a ridiculous home field advantage.
  7. No team should move to London. This market expansion under Goodell is getting out of hand. Start a new league, or have no teams in Europe.
  8. At home, they forced 0 turnovers on the Jets and tallied 3 sacks. In fact, the Chiefs are -2 in turover differential so far this year. Granted, both numbers are pretty low (5 / 7), but still. We have better receivers and a more accurate QB. Even if he is immobile, I think he will be able to attack the Chiefs D much better than Vick.
  9. Indeed. And when I look back to last year, they won off two absolutely inexcusable key turnovers, which I think we will be able to avoid. We totally stifled their offense, which is at best the same quality as last year.
  10. This is again a matchup that is surprisingly even on paper, but like last year, I just don't get the hype about the Chiefs. Alex Smith is not a threat at all, nor is their receiving corps and their O-Line is worse than last year. Our respective pass rushes will do their job against below-average O-lines and I am aware that Alex Smith can at least escape some pressure, unlike Orton, but all in all I think we should win this game convincingly. We have a big play threat that the Chiefs can't respond to.
  11. It appears that way, but then what was their offense doing agaisnt Jacksonville? Miami plays @Detroit, then us on Thuesday, then @Denver. In December they get Baltimore followed by @NE. Remember last year when they opened the season 3-0 and everyone was like "they have finally turned the corner" and then they promptly lost four games in a row? I am still not convinced Miami is for real, probably in the same way a lot of outsiders aren't convinced about us.
  12. We have to take care of business against the Jets and Miami. We HAVE to. Owning the divisional tiebreaker against Miami means an easier path to the wild card. I can't see the Browns being in the race down the stretch, but a win over them will take care of that tiebreaker, as with the Chiefs. So it's down to Baltimore/Pittsburgh/Cincy. We will have to wait and see how it plays out here. Baltimore's schedule is a cakewalk, Cincy and Pittsburgh still play each other twice. But really, we just need to take care of our own business this month.
