  1. you obviously aren't watching
  2. i'm at work watching and listening on headphones. I can't concentrate on my job! i think they are going to call security on me if I have one more outburst. I can't believe I'm actually watching this game!!!!
  3. damn shame! I'm in AZ, and I can get it. It's a great game so far. 0-0. about 2 minutes left in the 1st. Miller just schooled the Sens as they were attacking on a power play. He looks superb. Hope he holds up. Connoly got knocked out early. Looked like a forearm to the jaw. Hope he's not seriously hurt.

  5. i just replied because I thought this thread needed both of our avatars in it. opinions?
  6. this is the worst: "He's a FOOTBALL PLAYER" WTF???? aren't they all???
  7. back when he was criticising RW for voting against the CBA and rasing concerns, i wanted to email him and tell him "Why don't you interview Ralph and debate him?" but I was stonewalled like you

  9. his mock was pretty much off though when you look at the top 10. My top ten was better. the only one I missed on was #8 though.
  10. you gotta figure Jaroun knew something. The Lions organization might have had scouts looking at Whitner all year long, while DJ was still there. He knows better than any "expert" what DET really needed and wanted.
  11. i guess the rumours are true about Brady and Belichick...
  12. i didn't criticize his coaching. but when you compare his drafts to Levy's, it's a mismatch. on the Moss pick.....everyone knew he would be a great WR. there were character issues. he hurt his team more than he ever helped them. Look back when he divided the Minn locker room, couldn't get along with Culpepper or Carter. Screamed at coaches, ran over traffic cops, TOOK PLAYS OFF, etc. What did it get Denny? Run out of town is what. ...remember all that? and I live in AZ...i know that this team is on it's way up. But where was Denny picking in all his AZ drafts? VERY high in the 1st. hard to miss when you have picks as high as he has.
  13. also, did you hear what he said to top it all off? he said "Denny Green always told told me, 'Let the draft play itself out for you'" or something to that affect. what? you are going to praise Dennis Green and criticize Marv Levy in the same breath? How many of Green's draft picks took him to the Super Bowl? Playoffs? who did he get it right with...Moss, Culpepper, and Fitzgerald? Still no Super Bowls or HOFer's that I know of. anyway, last I checked the players picked by Levy dwarf the Dennis Green draft legacy like Shaq to Minni Me.
  14. just as I suspected: 3. Buffalo Bills: The Bills were in a great spot at No. 8. They had at least two teams -- Denver and Minnesota -- calling up offering draft choices to move up. Those teams were looking for quarterbacks. The Bills could have worked a deal with the Eagles, who were considering a move to No. 8 to take a defensive tackle. Taking a safety, Donte Whitner, at No. 8 instead of accepting one of those deals just wasn't a good value. Sure, maybe they weren't getting offers that matched the trade value chart, but wouldn't it have been better to move down and get anything extra. They would still have been able to get Whitner. The Bills feared losing Whitner to the Lions, who didn't get Michael Huff at No. 9. That wasn't going to happen because the Lions were taking linebacker Ernie Sims if they didn't get Huff, who went to the Raiders. The Bills went a little too conservative. (re: bold above) HOW THE HELL DOES HE KNOW? I'd trust DJ's judgement over his any day, especially when you consider he coached in DET last year. You think maybe he might have a good idea on their wants and needs??? it's very likely he has a mole or two still within the Lions organization as well. As you know, scouts are working and looking at players well before the offseason. He would know better if they had a b-line on Whitner over Sims. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/colu...john&id=2427335
  15. Henderson has been my favorite fullback in the NFL for a couple years now. He's a man amoug boys Sunday afternoons.
  16. Wow...my Top 11 was outstanding.....it all fell apart after that though

  18. Watch the Jets jump up and take Curtis' replacement.... in light of the new facts before me, I will be revising my rough draft sometime before the night is through.
  19. this is my stab at the entire 1st round....my ROUGH DRAFT i refuse to call mine a "mock" but it may look rough come tomorrow 1. HOU - Bush 2. NO - D'Brick (already have 2 1st rounders at at DE, they need to protect Brees) 3. TENN - Vince Young (i feel they should go with Mario Williams...their D is bad and they miss the Freak..i'd take my chances with Volek) 4. NYJ - Mario Williams (fills the Abraham void) 5. GB - Hawk (they could take Davis to make little #4 happy...) 6. SF - Davis 7. OAK - Huff 8. BUF - Broderick Bunkly (i'd be happy with him or Ngata) 9. DET - Earnie Sims 10. AZ - Lienart 11. 20. i just don't understand why they don't re-air OLD games. F*ck, the vault is jam packed full of great games from the 70's 80's 90's....what is the deal? It's not like they are selling videos of those old games, so why not just show them during the offseason? seems to me it could broaden the fan base and increase ratings. Hell, they could sell them to some of the networks or espn. I don't get it. all you ever see are old specials about games, but why not just replay a classic like they do with some of the college games on ESPN2??? Then, they would truly be the station where "the season never ends".
  21. i didn't know he was back at page2. I thought he was fired and it was a pretty bitter parting of the ways.
  22. i tend to agree with you. I think we should have made an offer to Wells. He's got both FB and HB talent. We need a guy with size who can catch the ball as well.....and we need a guy with some experience so he can read and react to blitzes. We need this talent now, not a rook that needs development time.
  23. he would have been a legend, if not for Gary Plummer....
  24. TR is not shady enough to anchor for CBS....
  25. i have to agree with you there. AS is all about yesterday's news. He doesn't strike me as an insider at all. he annoys me too.
