  1. don't worry, it's not going to happen. Indy would never accept such a ridiculous trade. While you can probably only get 30% of Bills fans to say it'd be a good trade...you could get exaclty 0% of Indy fans to take it.
  2. ug, yes, in a heartbeat. Beyond physical ability, you're just not going to find another quarterback that puts more time into the game off the field than Peyton. I can understand plenty of these reasons not to make the trade, but I can't even believe there's someone that's posted "he'll never win a superbowl". there's absolutely nothing to support that type of statement.
  3. If I had to guess I'd think Volek would have replaced Bledsoe at some point and he'd be our starting QB going into next year. God knows who we'd have drafted.
  4. If there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that we won't be seeing Drew Brees in a Bills uniform next year: - We're ALREADY paying two QBs big salaries. - We just drafted a QB. Why in the world would we go sign another? - Nobody is getting Brees from SD without a price. We've already given up our first round pick.
  5. I think we can probably all agree Buffalo wasn't ready to make the next step to take on Indy in round 1 of the playoffs. It would appear Mike Mularky and Tom Clements were good picks by TD. McGahee seems to be everything we could have hoped for. Henry will help us with either a ~3rd draft pick or talent elsewhere, and we're only sending Dallas our 18th round pick for their 22nd pick from last year. We don't have to search for a new QB - we've already got one training who has had a year to learn the system. Lee Evans was just a rookie this year! 9 TDs, ~800 yards receiving, ~50 grabs! Offensive Line showed some promise down the stretch. Our defense is still among the best in the league. We responded from a terrible hole to finish with a winning 9-7 season. Sure, there are some negatives...but this is a much longer list of positives than I'd expected after Week 4 of this season.
  6. They also had a replacement in Harrison already in place...who is replacing Moulds if he gets cut?
  7. Brees was from 2001 a year prior to Bledsoe and would have meant we'd have lost out on Nate Clements. I kind of think Bills fans would have run Brees out of town a long time ago...don't forget Brees was pretty awful his first 3 years....I don't know how he turned it on this year, but I doubt he'd have gone 23-25 as bledsoe has.
  8. You make some very good points there. I certainly hope Losman is no Mike Tomzcak. On the other hand, is there really any GM that is an ace at picking QBs? You look around the league and most teams share a similar story...teams that are able to find a great QB typically have trouble finding a replacement after he retires/departs. I can't immediately think of any team that has had back to back success at the QB position...perhaps SF w/ Montana, Young, Garcia.
  9. Honestly I'm pretty happy knowing we're sending just an 18th to Dallas...early on this year it was looking like a top 5.
  10. What 3 would you have picked? In 2002 we could have had: Patrick Ramsey Josh McCown David Garrard In 2003...well not much. Maybe Chris Simms. Who is it you'd have picked instead? I haven't seen success really from any rookie that would have been available to the Bills.
  11. he just said "held their weight". Rivers was able to stick around 225lbs eating hot dogs on the bench all season, yes. (he did throw a TD pass today)
  12. I'm really undecided on this. I like to think we found some consistancy on the second half of the season and would like to try and build on it. I'm afraid JP might be a step back. On the other hand, I've got a bigger question - How well would Bledsoe have to do in order to keep his job for the '06 season? Would simply reaching the playoffs bring Bledsoe back for another year? Winning a playoff game? Winning two playoff games?
  13. I think absolutely it can't be considered a success given his failure to lead the team to the playoffs. I'm also not sure you can call it a total failure either. What were the other options? I can't imagine sticking with RJ or Flutie would have returned better results. Were there other FA QB's that we missed along the way? We'd already missed out on Carr and Harrington from 2002 draft...and even if we'd managed to get Harrington, I'm not sure that I believe he'd have given us better results in the last 3 years either. I don't think you can really say definitivaly after this season. There's no doubt in my mind it will be decided be the end of next season. Assuming Bledsoe gets another chance, there's certainly no room for error.
  14. I think it's only the right call if you've got someone that can actually kick a field goal.
  15. I don't think it's so much that Lindell is the reason we lost, it's more that we need a kicker that can create a win. If we'd had a top rate kicker we'd certainly be in the playoffs this year. Imagine the Patriots with Lindell instead of Vinatieri...they'd literally not have won two Superbowls. Hopefully there's a good selection of FA kickers next year and Donahoe won't set the limit at 600k.
  16. bills "billieve" memrobelia will probably be half off come this time tomorrow......
  17. That's a pretty difficult question...I really think we'd have a chance to beat either. The game I obviously fear is @ NE. I gotta think if you asked an SD or IND fan if they'd rather play BUF, NYJ or DEN...they're picking NYJ or DEN.
  18. Indy's game #1 playoff tickets went on sale to the general public LOCALLY this last Saturday morning... If there are any tickets remaining they will go on sale via Ticketmaster 10am on 12/28. Here: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0500396F...04&minorcatid=8 If you want to get them from a ticket broker or Ebay, you can expect to pay about $175 for a pair of upper level seats. Among the cheaper seats in the NFL despite being the smallest stadium.
  19. Well, yes, but then again look at CLE. And I find the Rams to be closer aligned to CLE than MIA or NE. There's already doubt from players in Martz, and I'm afraid there are guys who might give up on him given that he might be on his way out. I'd just rather have both the Rams and Jets playing for a playoff spot rather than just the Jets.
  20. and more importantly why would Manning want to stop with 49 TDs? I mean, come on...if you're gonna get 49 you might as well just get to 50.
  21. I'm pretty sure the Rams are out of the playoffs if the lose against Philly tomorrow, right? Assuming that's the case, I think the biggest thing we need to hope for is a win tomorrow...if the Rams are out of the playoffs by Week 17, we are in trouble.
  22. Actually I've been scheduled for INDY since last week so I'm hoping it ends up Bills! I've got info to stay @ a hotel connected to the RCA Dome for $45 a night if it ends up happening....send me a message for the info if you are interested.
  23. Bills plays Colts if: - NYJ W, DEN L - NYJ L, DEN W Bills plays SD if: - NYJ L, DEN L
  24. I know it's early....but I'm going to ahead and call this as a MIA win.
  25. why in the world do you want NE to win this? Forget about PITT coming to town with a reason to play. Bills NEED Pitt to win vs BAL. If they know winning next week seals the deal, that's what we should be hoping for. Double bonus.
